Job Purpose: We are looking to recruit an empathic, warm, friendly, hard-working and flexible person who is passionate about improving young people’s emotional wellbeing and mental health. They must be a team player with excellent communication and organisational skills, able to prioritise and manage their own workload. They must be able to work independently within the community.
Salary: £ 26,000 - £29,120
Hours of work: 35 hours per week. Working pattern is Monday 12:30am-8:30pm, Tuesday 9:00am to 5:00pm, Wednesday 10.30am to 6:30pm, Thursday 9:00am -5:00pm, Friday 10:00am - 6:00pm.
Location: Phoenix Youth Centre plus working across locations in East Surrey as necessary.
Annual leave: Five weeks plus bank holidays (pro-rata for part time workers) Holidays increase after two years’ service to a maximum of six weeks after six years’ service. (pro-rata for part time workers)
The holiday year runs from 1 April to 31 March each year.

About us:
At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, we care for children and young adults with life-limiting conditions. We support hundreds of families, both in our hospice and in family homes.
Our support services are wide ranging and bespoke to each family; including overnight care, music therapy, counselling, sibling support groups, home visits and much, much more.
It costs around £6.5m to keep our doors open for families across South Yorkshire and beyond. Statutory funding makes up 16% of this amount and the rest is raised through fundraising activity.
Our services include overnight stays and community breaks at home or in the hospice. We also support the whole family from diagnosis with our multi-disciplinary Family Support team who provide counselling, sibling support groups, music therapy and much more. Our care team supports these families in our modern, purpose-built building. All our rooms/bedrooms have a homely feel. We have a sensory room, spa pool, cinema room and six acres of gardens.
We support families from a large geographical area, including South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire, North Derbyshire and parts of North Lincolnshire. The role:
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven individual to join our team as the Events Fundraiser teamed with a commercial sales focus. Change Mental Health is a leading national mental health charity providing unique support to people with severe and enduring mental ill health. In this critical role you will work closely with the Co-Investigator (Jim Hume, Director of Public Affairs & Communications) to ensure effective and impactful delivery of all project outputs and outcomes. Our Project Coordinator will engage very closely with regional and local community members, setting up and chairing groups where required in partnership with the wider research team, researching process and impact, developing a toolkit, and disseminating findings via events and online media and communication.
The position requires travel throughout the Highlands. Therefore we are looking for the candidate to be based in the highlands, or in Edinburgh (at our National Office).

The Senior Membership Coordinator will oversee and coordinate membership services, ensuring a high level of member satisfaction and engagement. This role requires strong organisational and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will be responsible for streamlining membership processes, optimising workflows, and supporting the overall goals of the Institute.

What the job involves
We’re looking for an Events and Community Fundraising Coordinator to join our Events and Community Team. A high performing team who are driven to maximise opportunities, we aim to reach ambitious targets and provide an excellent supporter experience.
Our team raises funds through a range of activities including:
· our own events (e.g. March for Men)
· virtual products (e.g. The Month Series)
· third party events (e.g. London Marathon)
· Golf Days
· helping community fundraisers who organise their own activity
You’ll be our first point of contact for our fundraisers. You'll provide admin and support through telephone, email, and social media channels. You’ll build and manage relationships with existing and new supporters. From registration to the end of their supporter journey you'll help motivate during challenges, offer fundraising advice and ensure thanks at the end of a first-class experience. Whilst each Coordinator has a primary area of responsibility across different types of events, you’ll also work across teams to support where needed during busy periods of activity.
This role works with data through maintaining our Raiser’s Edge database. You'll also update records on JustGiving and Facebook Fundraising. This requires accuracy and working under the requirements of GDPR.
You’ll also work with our Communications teams. This supports the planning and delivery of our activity. You'll help engage with our digital adverts and identify compelling supporter stories. This helps to raise the profile of our fundraising products, as well as prostate cancer and Prostate Cancer UK.

You’ll have the drive and determination to provide crucial support to our sector-leading programme of events which generated over £10.3m of gross income in 2022-23. You’ll be part of a passionate and high energy team fighting to stop prostate cancer from being a killer.
You’ll make a positive and valuable contribution to the success of the Events and Community Fundraising team through excellent communication skills and being proactive in supporting our event participants. You’ll have a strong eye for detail, customer-centric mindset and will be able to prioritise a busy workload to ensure we are able to consistently deliver excellent supporter care. You’ll be self-motivated, well organised and have a ‘can-do’ approach to the role.

- Assist with community events as required (occasional evening and weekend work will be required).
- Perform basic financial activities.
Experience, knowledge and skills:
- Minium of 4 years work experience including experience of coordinating projects.
- A track record of working collaboratively with partners and stakeholders.
- Experience of community engagement and an ability to work on your own initiative.
- Ability to oversee and manage project contributors including staff, partners and volunteers.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to be flexible and adaptable in response to developing priorities.
- Interpersonal skills for both workplace and external representation contexts, operating with enthusiasm, flexibility, energy and commitment.
- Connection to or significant understanding of the local area and its social and cultural heritage would be highly desirable.
- Community work experience is desirable.
