Established in 2002 following a large-scale transfer from Chelmsford Borough Council, they now own and manage over 11,500 homes and provide services for over 27,000 customers.
As a member of the Finance team, the role serves as a key analytical and business partnering resource to the Growth and Partnership directorate and more broadly to provide strategic financial analysis across the business. Providing financial planning, modelling, and analysis for the directorate to assist key budget holders in decision making, ensuring that financial resources are used efficiently and represent value for money. Building partnerships with senior managers in the directorate to enable them to use financial information strategically to drive forward the business in line with CHP’s corporate strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Growth and Partnerships directorate as the primary financial interface for providing financial modelling, analysis and business partnering.
- Provide financial modelling and analysis support for Growth and Partnerships directorate projects and strategic initiatives.
- Support the FP&A Manager in the development and maintenance of the multi-year strategic business plan as well ad-hoc financial analysis to support the business.
- Prepare and analyse development proposals taking into account the strategic plan, annual budgets, and forecasts.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support and evaluate development proposals in support of the decision-making processes.
- Lead on the budget setting process for the Growth and Partnerships directorate.
- Provide expert advice to budget holders, whilst scrutinising and challenging proposals to ensure financial viability to drive value for money.
- Update the development programme and global assumptions, test new proposed development schemes for the Investment Panel’s consideration, ensuring investment appraisal is fit for purpose.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
- Perform stress testing and scenario analysis to evaluate financial risks and opportunities.
- Lead value for money assessments and other financial analysis to optimise resource utilisation, identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Assist in the preparation and reviewing of financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, auditors, and regulators.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues across the organisation.
- Undertake any other responsibilities relevant to this post, as directed by your line manager.
The successful candidate will:
- Be a fully- or part-qualified Accountant with a commitment to completing your studies.
- Have experience in a financial analyst role, preferably within the social housing sector and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Have extensive experience in collating, preparing and interpreting reports, budgets, accounts and financial statements.
- Be proficient in financial modelling, handling, and scrutinising an array of datasets, and have experience using data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The successful candidate will be based in their Chelmsford office, requiring you to go into the office after an initial training period, and benefit from a hybrid working pattern.

About the role
As an Admin & Accounts Assistant at Sightsavers, this role will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our office. The role involves providing essential support in day-to-day accounting, administrative, HR, and financial tasks.
The Admin & Accounts Assistant will work closely with our finance and admin teams, utilising solid understanding of accounting, finance, administration, and logistics to facilitate efficient office operations. Principle Accountabilities
- Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting and financial records.
- Process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions efficiently.
- Prepare vouchers using the SUN accounting system.
- Help reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain petty cash records and ensure proper disbursement of funds.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and overseeing vehicle operations.
- Assist with travel arrangements, including booking accommodations and organising itineraries for staff and visitors.
- Support procurement processes by obtaining quotations, preparing purchase orders, and tracking deliveries.
- Aid the procurement committee with related documentation.
- Maintain records of life and health insurance for each employee.
- Keep track of employee benefits and prepare final settlements at the end of employment contracts.
- Undertake any other tasks assigned by the SFSSM.
- Maintain and update employee records, including contracts, job descriptions, and increment letters.

About you
The Accounts & Admin Assistant will be a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting and administration. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, enabling them to liaise effectively with team members and external stakeholders. They will be adept at using accounting software and have a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all financial records are maintained accurately.
Jobholder Requirements
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. If this qualification is not held, relevant experience in a similar role will be considered.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, as well as administrative and logistical affairs.
- Relevant experience in administration and logistics, with a focus on inclusivity and diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.

Right now, we’re looking for someone like you to join our NGAGE Young People’s Service in Northampton. NGAGE is an early intervention drug and alcohol service for young people aged 10-18 and we provide information, education, advice and support to young people in relation to drug and alcohol use.
Your challenge? To provide advice, assessments, brief and structured interventions and group programmes. As a Practitioner, you will be the initial contact for referrals into the service, conducting assessments via telephone, face to face and offering relevant and appropriate advice, harm minimisation, family interventions risk assessment and management, actioning onward referrals to partner agencies. You will also be required to manage a caseload.
An energetic and confident self-starter, you have a qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies). Alternatively, we’ll consider candidates with experience of working in the substance misuse field with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care. As well as good knowledge of alcohol/drug and health related issues, you're used to liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and health professionals and comfortable engaging with clients in a variety of service delivery settings. Transforming Lives for Good (TLG) are a national Christian charity working in partnership with local churches to give struggling children hope and a future. Yorkshire Cancer Research has embarked on an exciting programme to transform and improve the survival and the quality of life of cancer patients.
Active Together is a multimodal prehabilitation and rehabilitation service that has been developed by world leading academics and practitioners at the Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre (AWRC) at Sheffield Hallam University (SHU).
Reporting to the Director of Research and Services, The Head of Active Together will lead the charity’s Active Together team to directly deliver Active Together services in various locations across Yorkshire as well as overseeing funding contracts with NHS Trusts to deliver the service on behalf of the Charity. They will work in partnership with Sheffield Hallam University to evaluate and ensure continuous improvement of all the Active Together services.
Specifically, you will:
Leadership

Manage resource levels to deliver the charity’s Active Together Services to a consistently high-standard and within budget.

Coaching and developing the charity’s Active Together team, role modelling the internal personal development and objective setting approach.

Driving continuous improvement across the team, ensuring learnings from the management and evaluation of the services influences future strategic decisions.
Roll out of Active Together across Yorkshire with External Stakeholders

Lead the charity to achieve the vision of all patients in Yorkshire having access to Active Together through:

Collaborating with Sheffield Hallam University to continue to develop and implement new Active Together Programmes across Yorkshire including the quality assurance, evaluation, and continuous improvement of existing services.

Ensuring public and patient involvement informs development, delivery and continuous improvement of the Active Together services in partnership with Sheffield Hallam University and the charity’s internal Public and Patient Involvement team.

Supporting the Director of Research, Services and Policy on the negotiation of contractual terms with NHS Trusts to deliver Active Together Services.
Service delivery and Operational Management of the charity’s Active Together Programme

Lead and manage our in-house service delivery teams (including Personal Trainers, Dietitians and Counsellors) to deliver the Active Together service in the charity’s first bespoke Yorkshire Cancer Centre in Harrogate.

Work closely with the AWRC to ensure the Active Together Programme is implemented correctly ensuring treatment fidelity and to ensure evaluation data is collected.
Governance
Ensure the highest levels of good governance within the Active Together team by:

Working with the Risk, Compliance and Governance team to ensure the governance of the in-house Active Together Services is fit for purpose.

Ensuring that the charity’s Active Together operational policies and procedures are fit for purpose and are continually reviewed and updated as required.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:

To have excellent track record of management and leadership, with relevant experience at a senior manager/team leader level in delivering exercise-based, or cancer-related, services in the public or charity sector setting.

To have proven experience of managing internal budgets, risk registers and complying with internal and external governance requirements such as data protection regulations in a public or charity sector setting.

We are looking for a Commercial Senior Manager / Associate Director to drive the next phase of the No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS). The NILS pilot has already lent over £10 million to more than 13,000 financially vulnerable people, demonstrating the positive impact of affordable credit. This is a unique opportunity to lead a multi-million-pound programme through its final stages and oversee its strategic scaling for long-term sustainability.
The scheme is currently funded by HM Treasury, JP Morgan, and Fair4All Finance. We are looking for an experienced senior lead with a background in both commercial delivery and business case development, fluent in working with the public sector, mainstream finance, and civil society to oversee the final stages of the pilot delivery and to take charge of scaling up NILS.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS) Programme: Oversee the final delivery phase of the NILS pilot, with the Programme Delivery Manager
