Overall purpose
Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations initially, the role holder will have technical leadership and overall responsibility for managing the Data and Innovation team. This team helps Breaking Barriers maximise the value of its data, by conducting analysis and managing the CRM (Salesforce) and related software.
The team works across all areas of the organisation to improve processes, unlock efficiencies through automation and generate insights from data. They ensure that data is utilised to inform any innovations or refinements to our services.
The successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial manager with a high level of data literacy. We are looking for someone strategic, highly organised and a strong people and team manager. They will be confident at communicating data in a variety of ways to a large range of audiences, identifying key take-aways and the broader implications of the findings on our clients and programming. They will also be able to train others in key data analysis and communication skills.

About the role:
We are seeking a Head of Operations to work with the CEO and senior leadership team to manage a broad scope of operational functions, including workplace governance, people management, digital support, data and risk management. The Head of Operations will be a collaborative and hands-on professional with project and people management skills, a track record of operational change management, and the ability to inspire colleagues in new ways of working that ensure the efficient day-to-day running of the Foundation - driving system, quality and process improvements.

4. Lead and facilitate groupwork programmes for parents such Strengthening Families Strengthening Communities and Child Overcoming Domestic Abuse.

Job summary
The Supporter Care Assistant is the first point of contact for supporters. They’re key to making sure everyone fundraising for us feels supported and appreciated through excellent communication. This is a great first job in fundraising for someone looking to build a career.
The right candidate will love building relationships, have excellent attention to detail and enjoy working through processes. You’ll be able to manage a busy workload which depends on meeting deadlines and be a team player with excellent communication and people skills. Above all you’ll have a real desire to make a difference to the lives of people affected by bowel cancer.

We are hiring a part-time Policy and Public Affairs Manager to join a cancer charity for a 1-year fixed term contract. The organisation is a well-established charity which provides specialist care and support to young people across the UK. Their policy and campaigning work is vital in bringing about positive change at a local and national level, from funding specialist treatment facilities to improving diagnosis and outcomes for young people experiencing cancer.
As the Policy and Public Affairs Manager, you will develop and deliver influencing campaigns and public affairs activity for the charity. You will come up with compelling and impactful ways to engage politicians, policy makers, the general public and other key decision makers. You will be supported by a Policy and Public Affairs Officer and will oversee their work and professional development.
To be successful in the Policy and Public Affairs Manager role you will need:
- Demonstrable experience in a policy and influencing role
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with politicians and policy makers
- Knowledge of policy development and the tactics needed to influence legislation
- Line management experience would be beneficial
Salary: £42,244 (full-time equivalent)
Contract: Part-time (28 hours per week), 1-year fixed term contract
Location: London (Holborn) – Hybrid, with 1 day in the office per week

Overall purpose
The Head of Corporate Partnerships is a key leadership role within the Income and Engagement Directorate. Breaking Barriers’ relationship with corporate partners is the USP upon which our growth and success as an organisation has been built. The Head of Corporate Partnerships has accountability for generating income, impact and influence from the private sector, and for leading a high-performing team to achieve ambitious growth and scale for refugees around the UK.
As Breaking Barriers has grown from a start-up organisation to a now 60-strong team raising c. £4m and supporting more than 1,200 refugees annually, our corporate partnerships have expanded beyond our original London base to be nationwide partnerships with a wide range of businesses and employers. Our corporate partners have been crucial in enabling our growth and will be crucial to delivering upon the ambition of our 2030 goals. The Head of Corporate Partnerships is an essential role that will make this ambition a reality.
You will lead a team to deliver outstanding partnerships management of a range of strategic and multi-faceted relationships with a portfolio of c.50 businesses alongside leading strategy for business development. Leading by example you will own a number of our key relationships to drive growth, whilst bringing your experience to bear to coach your team and ensure structures and processes are in place to enable high performance.
You will be:
- a creative and strategic thinker who doesn’t feel bound by traditional approaches to charity / corporate relationships,
- a keen collaborator, working closely with colleagues in our Services directorate to deliver high impact employability programmes for our refugee clients, and with the Head of Philanthropy and Head of Public Engagement to identify and drive cross-fundraising opportunities,
- an outstanding communicator, comfortable and confident in your ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders across the worlds of CSR, DEI and employability, and across the private, public, and third sectors representing Breaking Barriers at a senior level.
The Head of Corporate Partnerships will be part of Breaking Barriers’ Joint Leadership Team and will have overall strategic and budget responsibility for Corporate Partnerships. They will be a visible leader within the Income and Engagement Directorate and across the organisation, and will contribute to a culture of creativity, growth, innovation and entrepreneurialism that will drive us to achieve our 2030 goals.
