About the role
This role is a 2 year fixed term contract.
This is an exciting time to be joining the ambitious, award-winning brand, marketing and communications team in this new role, to develop and execute impactful marketing and communication strategies for our largest partnerships with Asda and People’s Postcode Lottery.
The next 2 years will be monumental as we celebrate our partnership milestones with Asda Tickled Pink - £100m raised by 2025 and our 30th anniversary in 2026. It’s also set to be an incredible year for our partnership with the People’s Postcode Lottery as we’re planning to deliver engaging campaigns to amplify our partnership and highlight the impact of the incredible funds raised by players.
You’ll deliver a programme of marketing campaigns and communications across a range of owned, earned, shared and paid channels. Working directly with our partners and alongside key partnership, marketing and communications colleagues across the charity, this programme of activity will amplify our partnerships, extend our reach, grow our brand awareness, and create meaningful engagement with key audiences.
About you
We’re looking for an experienced marketing and communications manager who is passionate and enthusiastic about bringing to life the incredible work of our key partners – Asda Tickled Pink and People’s Postcode Lottery.
This is an important role for Breast Cancer Now and one which requires relevant experience in developing, delivering and evaluating integrated, multi-channel marketing and communications strategies. The role provides a great opportunity to work with stakeholders across the charity, and with our partners, to support the creation and delivery of marketing and communications. As such, you’ll possess excellent interpersonal skills and be adept at building and managing positive working relationships with people at all levels. You’ll be dedicated to finding innovative and creative marketing techniques and developing compelling narratives to reach target audiences and will have experience of managing and working beside creative teams, to support the creation and delivery of campaigns. You’ll also be experienced in measuring and evaluating campaigns and reporting back learnings and recommendations.
The successful candidate will be a confident and experienced project manager, able to work flexibly and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience of working on charity corporate partnerships would be preferred.
But most of all, you’ll be as passionate as we are about making a significant difference for people affected by breast cancer.

Purpose of Post:
The Marketing & Communications Officer will be responsible for the administration and co-ordination of consistent marketing and communications messages and activities, promotions, exhibitions, PR campaigns, social media, digital/website content, uphold brand integrity, which enhances and grows the reputation and awareness of IMO Charity.
The Marketing and Communications Officer will play a key role in supporting the Business Development Manager to manage the ‘public face’ of IMO Charity. ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a talented, creative and dedicated marketing professional to join our small but powerful team to help deliver our new strategy.
As a new role in the hospice’s Fundraising & Marketing Team, the Marketing & Communications Manager will join an existing team of fundraising managers working to maximise awareness and support of the hospice in order to ensure its long-term sustainability.
The postholder will be responsible for the operational management, development and delivery of marketing and communications to support the hospice’s income generation strategy, including line management of the Website Editor and Marketing & Communications Officer, and external agencies.
The successful candidate will be an experienced marketing professional, used to working closely with income generating teams. They will oversee the delivery of a compelling programme of multi-channel communications with the sole aim of increasing the awareness of and support for the charity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing and communications planning, delivery and performance management
- Working closely with the Director of Fundraising & Marketing, develop a clear marketing and communications plan to support the strategies for fundraising, retail and volunteering.
- Implement, monitor and analyse marketing and communications plans and budgets, producing impactful insights and reports to guide our ever-evolving work through all communication channels.
- Develop and maximise the marketing mix, identifying innovative initiatives and working across online and offline channels, to best support the promotion of all income generation activities across the hospice.
- Ensure compliance to industry standards and best practice at all times.
- Support the fundraising strategy in proactively researching and targeting audiences across the catchment area to ensure a broadening of reach and awareness of the breadth of the hospice’s services.
- Be forward facing and lead on engagement with clinical colleagues to promote the need for strong patient stories and effective storytelling to support fundraising.
- Ensure sufficient opportunities for collection of service user data to share news and promote activities.
- Proactively develop and streamline the long-term internal and external communications schedules across the charity.
- Lead on content creation, coordination and production of hospice marketing materials, protecting the reputation, brand and tone of Katharine House.
Operational delivery
- Lead on the writing and distribution of appropriate and engaging press releases, paid adverts, local village features and articles.
- Work closely with the Marketing & Communications Officer to oversee delivery of a planned (and reactive) social media programme, maximising opportunities to increase our profile, using online planning and Analytical tools to plan and report on digital channels to improve targeting and supporter journeys.
- Work closely with the Website Editor to oversee and optimise the KHH website: creating and updating content for the charity and clinical colleagues, including the EPiC Resource Centre.
- Work with the Website Editor and Supporter Care team to ensure that integration of the CRM (Beacon) and website is optimised, to maximise supporter journeys, supporter preference compliance and insights.
- Work together with relevant charity and clinical colleagues and our designer to prepare, design and deliver high-quality marketing materials.
- Work with the Marketing & Communications Officer to oversee the production of the monthly supporter e-newsletters.
- Alongside your immediate team, manage production of the bi-annual Katharine House magazine from start to finish, with content and thematic planning with fundraising and volunteering managers.
- Lead on content creation to use across the charity. Continue to manage and regularly update our library (filed, captioned, tagged) of patient, staff and volunteer stories with consent, quality photography and video content for use across all of income generation.
- Manage and oversee the charity’s online channels including website, ensuring accurate, up-to-date and engaging content, and ensure all online advertising (inc. paid social media adverts), Google AdWords grant and SEO are effectively managed.
- Liaise with clinical colleagues at our NHS partner OUH to support key marketing, messaging and communication needs, ensuring our brand is correctly used.
Leadership and people management
- Meet regularly with the Website Editor and Marketing & Communications Officer, fostering positive communication and engagement. Carry out monthly one-to-ones, setting quarterly objectives and recognising training needs where necessary.
- As a member of the management team, represent the culture and values of the hospice and charity sector.
- Manage the ongoing and changing priorities within the team, communicating and sharing progress and changes in a clear, timely manner. Promote collaborative working and its benefits across the organisation.
- Attend regular management meetings, contributing to team strategy and overall management/team needs.
- Act as a positive role model to the charity team and wider stakeholders.
- Actively manage the workload of our designer.
- Where necessary, manage poor performance as it happens and support staff to fulfil their role.
- Network and foster good relationships both internally and externally to the charity.

Wigan & Leigh Hospice is looking for a Marketing and Communications Manager to join our Business Development team.
The hospice is a charity which is firmly embedded in its community and relies on the support of that community to keeps its services running. Often people are surprised that hospices rely so heavily on donations to deliver such essential services, but every day we need to raise £12,000 just to keep the hospice running.
As Marketing & Communications Manager you will play a key role in raising the profile of the hospice, helping our community to better understand the services we offer. You will manage all of the hospice’s internal and external communications channels, finding creative ways to engage patients and their families, supporters, staff and volunteers.

Wigan & Leigh Hospice is a CQC Outstanding Hospice supporting the population of the borough of Wigan with specialist palliative and end of life care. Around 1400 people are supported by the hospice each year, with a further 600 people accessing counselling and bereavement services.

We’re looking for an exceptional internal communications professional to play a critical role in leading the development and delivery of the change communications for RBLs transformation agenda in this newly created Change Communications Manager, 12 month Fixed Term Contract.

This role will see you accountable for developing and implementing a plan to support the large transformation agenda underway, working alongside the TMO, Change Leaders, Transformation Cluster Leads, and project and programme teams across the organisation.
Reporting to our Head of Internal Communications and Engagement, key responsibilities will include:
- Create and deliver impactful communications and engagement plans to fulfil the objectives of the change programmes.
- Ensure the change communications align with and support our strategic priorities
- Provide communications expertise and hands-on support to successfully manage and embed change throughout the transformation portfolio working with Cluster Leaders, Executive Board sponsors, and project and programme teams
- Work collaboratively with Internal Communication & Engagement colleagues to ensure that change communications are fully aligned with the wider internal communications agenda
Your proven track record in designing and implementing change communications strategies and plans for complex, geographically dispersed audiences, coupled with strong networking and influencing skills will be crucial. You’ll bring a natural flair for crafting compelling copy, and, with your first-class stakeholder management skills, you'll build relationships, provide expert advice, and work collaboratively to deliver impactful change communications.
You will be contracted to our London Hub, Haig House. Under our Future Working framework, there will be some flexibility for working remotely/at home, using our collaboration tools to work with colleagues, but with a minimum expectation of two days/week connecting directly face-to-face with colleagues at the hub.

What the job involves
As part of the Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand team, you’ll support the Head of Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Branding by directing the Business Partnering team, and developing and embedding our Business Partnering model.
You’ll partner with senior leaders and product owners to act as a supportive enabler of their communications objectives, and ensuring they’re actively engaged in the development of communications strategies, objectives and plans. A major part of the role will be enabling the integration of activity into the wider communications plan to enhance results from our communications.
You’ll guide the planning process for projects and campaigns to build awareness of risk, tackle health inequalities and improve outcomes for all men affected by and at risk of prostate cancer. As part of this role, you’ll also be managing a team of two.
Please note this role is known internally as Senior Communications Business Partner (HSEI & Research).
What we want from you
In this role you’ll be leading a new team of Business Partners and a Communications Planning Manager to ensure Prostate Cancer UK’s communications are well-planned, integrated (where appropriate), and effective. That means you’ll need a strong understanding of high-impact communications business partnering and planning, using an agile, flexible, and fast-paced approach.
You’ll also excel at building trust and connections with community groups, ideally with experience in reaching, engaging, and activating high-risk communities.
Prior experience and knowledge of devising and delivering big multi-channel campaigns – including PR, social media, communications and marketing would be an asset. You’ll be a strategic influencer who understands how positive, coordinated relationship management drives performance alongside an outstanding communicator – who’s confident and good at communicating complex technical information to general audiences.

Role Overview:
Reporting to the Deputy Head of Marketing, the PR and Comms Manager will be the storyteller for all things Enable!
They will execute a yearly PR plan for Enable’s charitable missions, as well as provide PR support for Enable’s varied service areas, including Events, Leisure, Putney School of Art and Design, Bereavement and many more. They will be responsible for Enable’s image externally as well as internally and responsible for holding the relationship with our key stakeholders. The role also involves supporting the preparation and writing of bids for new contracts to secure funding and expand our services.
This is the perfect role for a confident, outgoing and motivated person – and has a love for crafting stories using different media platforms, supporting and strategising charitable missions and communicating Enable’s mission, values and achievements internally and externally.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
PR
- Develop and manage integrated PR campaigns around key company products and moments.
- Write campaign plans, messaging, and create media-facing materials for Enable as a non-profit company, as long as individual service areas.
- Create compelling storytelling content to showcase the impact of our work through various platforms (Linkedin, Instagram)
- Build relationships with key media outlets and secure coverage.
- Be a point of contact for key media enquiries.
- Provide counsel to internal executives on PR challenges and opportunities.
Campaign Strategy
- Develop and execute a communications strategy to raise awareness of our Health and Wellbeing programs and Community Initiatives.
- Analyse communication campaign performance and refine strategies as needed.
- Support the development and writing of persuasive bids and funding proposals for new contracts and grants.
- Collaborate with program leads to gather data, case studies, and evidence to strengthen funding applications.
Communications – External and internal
- Managing the relationship with key stakeholders (for example Wandsworth Council), including chairing meetings, regular feedback and reporting.
- Lead on monitoring, evaluation, and reporting to key stakeholders and partners. Including Enable’s quarterly activity reports and yearly Impact Report.
- Supporting junior members of staff and providing strategic PR and communication support.
- Occasional weekend work at some of our events will be required.
Skills and Experience:
- 3 + years experience in a Public Relations, Communications or Marketing role
- Strong PR campaign management skills to develop and execute integrated campaigns
