As Director of Partnerships and Growth, you’ll be the driving force behind the eoa’s external influence and reach. you’ll lead our advocacy and external affairs strategy, build meaningful partnerships, and deliver powerful events programmes that accelerate adoption of Great EO. Role Details
At the heart of this Director of Growth & Advocacy role is the opportunity to shape the external environment for employee ownership, champion the voice of our members, and lead high-impact strategies that grow both our reach and the sector itself.
You’ll lead on policy, advocacy, external affairs and events—crafting compelling narratives, building powerful partnerships, and delivering programmes that drive commercial sustainability and sector-wide change.
From shaping relationships with key stakeholders and securing strategic sponsorships, to overseeing the delivery of thought leadership, content, and events, you’ll ensure that the eoa is not just part of the national conversation—but leading it.
Your ability to influence, convene, and inspire will be critical to removing barriers to employee ownership and unlocking the potential of our £1.7m organisation to deliver even greater impact.

This role is remote, however regular travel to our HQ in Brough and across the UK is expected.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead external affairs, collaborating with stakeholders to shape policy, advocacy and best practice that removes barriers and expands EO.
- Establish relationships and secure commercial partnerships and sponsorships, generating revenue to support advocacy, events, and sector growth initiatives.
- Engage key stakeholders to co-produce content that positively influence EO practice and policy and amplify the eoa’s voice in public affairs.
- Oversee delivery of an effective content strategy that delivers our commercial objectives and positions the eoa as the leading EO authority.
- Oversee events programmes, ensuring they drive knowledge-sharing, sector development, and commercial sustainability.
- Represent the eoa at industry forums, policy roundtables, and public affairs events, championing the employee ownership model.
- Collaborate with the Director of Membership & Operations to align advocacy efforts with member needs and engagement.

As a Trusts and Grants and Manager you will take on the management and stewardship of a diverse portfolio of high-value funding relationships, while developing new partnerships with a high propensity to support our work. You will be a strategic thinker, used to working with high value grant making professionals and trustees and with senior staff and stakeholders within your own organisation. Main areas of responsibility
- Build relationships with portfolio of five and six figure trust supporters, understanding their motivations and tailoring opportunities and communications to cultivate strong, long-lasting partnerships.
- Foster a deep understanding of FareShare’s work and strategy to create persuasive fundraising proposals that inspire and solicit funds. This includes developing relationships across the organisation to build a sound understanding of FareShare operations and where support is most needed
- Champion and input in to the teams prospecting process, using your own research and sector knowledge to take new opportunities from identification through to solicitation, particularly focussing on those with multi-year and high value potential.
- Develop innovative and personalised stewardship plans, in collaboration with senior colleagues when appropriate, to deepen funder relationships. Craft compelling written communications including emails, proposals, and reports to showcase the impact of trust support and celebrate key milestones. Lead calls, meetings and visits to strengthen funder partnerships and engagement with our work.
- Provide supportive management to a Trust and Grants Officer, offering regular advice and guidance, identifying opportunities for development and monitoring performance objectives in line with the organisational and team strategy.
- Play an active role in developing and delivering the Trusts and Grants team strategy contributing to planning and management of team objectives, and supporting the Senior Manager to motivate the team and drive trust income.
- Work with colleagues across the Fundraising sub-teams to maximise cross over opportunities between income areas.
- Maintain accurate records of partner interactions in our CRM system and shared files, and consistently update financial records and account plans.

Experience
- Experience of securing and successfully managing five and six figure grants and multi-year gifts from a range of grant makers, including project funding and unrestricted funding.

Purpose
The Marketing Assistant is a varied role, working primarily in our Supporter Relations team, but also supporting other areas of the Fundraising and Communications team.
The primary focus of this position is to provide an excellent customer experience for CBM supporters so that every interaction is carried out with excellence, integrity and efficiency. This will help to create and be part of a supporter experience that develops and maintains long-term relationships with dedicated individuals and churches across the UK. The Marketing Assistant will ensure supporters feel valued and engaged with CBMs work.
On a day-to-day basis the position holder will be engaging with supporters by phone, email and writing, in responding to a wide range of enquiries, and carrying out administrative activities associated with marketing campaigns, donations, fundraising events and requests for materials.
The successful applicant requires strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as confidence to make outbound phone calls to build relationships, thank supporters, to share updates on our work, and ask for donations to build relationships, grow supporter engagement and maximise long-term income.
The position is part of a dedicated and enthusiastic Fundraising and Communications team, and part of this role is to provide additional administrative support to the wider team, specifically in areas such as 121 supporter communications to fundraisers doing events, churches, and legacy and in memoriam supporters.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inbound enquiries (40%)
Respond to the needs of CBM supporters and the public through the handling of inbound calls and emails in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner.
This includes:
a. Taking and processing donations over the telephone.
b. Handling requests, feedback and complaints in a respectful and timely manner, and offering solutions when appropriate.
c. Updating supporter records on the Customer Relationship Management system (currently Salesforce) and carrying out mail or email follow-up when required.
d. Responding to emails in the giving inbox, directing queries appropriately and maintaining organised records of communication.
e. Co-ordinating and responding to comments made on CBM’s social media platforms.
2. Outbound 121 communications (30%):
Carry out outbound calls to potential and existing supporters to inspire donations and explain over the telephone how support will transform lives, following set briefs and guidelines, but when applicable engaging supporters in conversation in a non-scripted approach. This includes:
a. Regular outbound calls and emails include thanking and stewardship communications, asking for support by Direct Debit, clarifying Gift Aid statuses, and discussing the possibility of supporting the charity in a Will.
b. Update the outcome of calls on supporter records on the CRM system.
c. Process donations made over the phone, carrying out mail or email follow-up when required, using existing materials and letter templates.
d. Refer follow up actions that are outside of the team’s remit to the relevant team or individual.
e. Contribute to the creation and development of guidelines for in- and out-bound telephone conversations.
3. Additional administrative duties (30%):
Perform a variety of other administrative tasks to support the wider fundraising team:
a. Data inputting, preparation and reports.
b. Updating and proofing fundraising materials.
c. Supporting speaker and church coordination when required.
d. Co-ordinating the stock and the distribution of supporter materials and fundraiser resources.
e. Mailing out church packs, thank you letters, and personalised communications, such as handwritten cards.
f. Liaise with colleagues and attend meetings to ensure up-to-date knowledge of CBM’s work.
g. Help develop a culture of enthusiasm and success, which reflects the ambitions of CBM.

About Chapter One
Chapter One is a dynamic, growing charity with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills needed to thrive. Our mission is to close the reading gap by providing children with one-to-one support at the time they need it most.
Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme currently supports about 3,000 children a year. It pairs disadvantaged, struggling five to eight-year old (KS1) readers with reading support volunteers who come from over 140 local and national businesses. The volunteer ask is very focused: readers commit 30 minutes a week to read with a child using a bespoke digital platform for an entire academic year. About the role
Chapter One is seeking a proactive, energetic and enthusiastic Corporate Partnerships Manager to be an integral part of a team which aims to both maximise corporate income and deliver an excellent partner and volunteer experience.

You’ll have significant experience of developing and implementing relevant external affairs strategies and of successfully leading policy, communications or campaigning functions in an organisation of comparable size and complexity. You’ll also need to be influential both internally and externally, including representing the MS Society at a range of external meetings with a variety of audiences.
As well as leading on planning and budget setting for the external affairs functions, as a member of the leadership team, you will also contribute to the strategic leadership, planning and policy formulation of the MS Society as a whole.

About you and the role
This role is key to helping us grow and empower our school and chef partners through our Membership. You’ll work closely with the Programme Manager and Procurement Manager to improve the membership offering and build a strong community of schools, chefs, and suppliers.
Your work will be varied, from managing membership administration to building supplier relationships and helping with communication between schools and stakeholders. As the membership grows, you’ll work with the team to help improve the support, networks, and systems available to members. Role Overview
Around 75% of your time will be devoted to securing funding from trusts and foundations. This includes researching, identifying new opportunities and crafting compelling, tailored funding applications. Based in the Paediatric Ophthalmology Department at Sheffield Children’s Hospital, you will work closely with Ophthalmologists and clinical staff as a vital part of the team. This role will be supported by an Honorary Contract, requiring you to adhere to the values, policies, and procedures of both Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust and Guide Dogs. You’ll work 4 days per week in the hospital, supporting the Paediatric Ophthalmology Clinics from 9am to 5pm, with the flexibility to work from home for 1 day per week.
Within this role you will:
·Provide Support in Eye Clinics: Assist parents of children and young people in an eye clinic setting, offering both emotional support and guidance.
·Offer Information & Guidance: Deliver expert advice on health, education, welfare, and social care, ensuring families are well-informed and empowered to make decisions.
·Collaborate with Professionals: Liaise with internal and external professionals to ensure coordinated care and support, facilitating smooth communication across services.
·Handle Registration & Referrals: Complete necessary paperwork for registration and refer families to relevant Guide Dogs services, as well as statutory and voluntary agencies for further support.
·Support Funding Applications & Clinical Staff: Assist families with external funding applications and provide support to clinical staff with any related enquiries.

The role involves collaborating with health, education, welfare, and social care professionals, so a joined-up approach is essential. Knowledge of eye care health will be key to providing informed support.
We need someone with strong communication and relationship-building skills, able to work independently and as part of a team. Organisational skills and proficiency with IT systems are also essential.
