The Talent Set are delighted to be working with Ellenor to find their Lottery Manager. This role is 0.8 FTE.
The charity offers a flexible working environment, with hybrid working 1-2 days per week from their office in Gravesend.
The person in this role will strategically lead the Hospice lottery to maximise income through developing new approaches and increasing its profile whilst ensuing full Gambling Commission compliance. The role of the Lottery Manager is twofold – working with agencies and spotting promotional opportunities to acquire and recruit new players, whilst cherishing and valuing those we already have by thanking them and keeping them informed of the difference their support makes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a strategy to ensure long term and sustainable growth of lottery income with support from the Head of Individual Giving.
• Working towards agreed KPIs and income targets for the lottery, by increasing membership and reducing attrition.
• To possess up-to-date and thorough operational familiarity with the Lottery Conditions and Codes of Practice outlined by the Gambling Commission (Gambling Act 2005) and to ensure adherence to these regulations in all work activities.
• To manage the lottery income and expenditure budgets, ensuring all activity meets income targets and expenditure remain on budget.
• Develop our digital presence (website, social media, etc.) to source new acquisition and increase our local community’s awareness of the lottery.
• Be the main contact for the relationship with our canvassing companies, taking responsibility for the recruitment and training canvassers for the lottery, and for ensuring that our 3rd party providers deliver their KPIs in terms of recruitment numbers and attrition levels.
• Be the ‘go to’ person for all lottery fundraising related matters from across the organisation.
• Work closely with the marketing team to contribute to the development of campaigns to increase lottery membership and income.
• Work closely with the Supporter Care team to ensure all lottery communications reflect our brand values and that weekly reports are completed to help the delivery of stewardship plans.
• Work closely with our Retail outlets both in terms of venues for potential members, and to ensure our lottery is promoted to all customers and supporters.
• Deliver the stewardship plan for our lottery players, from the point of sign up, spotting opportunities to retain and develop them further maximising the lifetime value of every supporter.
• Ensure that all communication with lottery supporters is captured through the Fundraising database CRM System (donorflex).
Person Specification:
• Proven, long term track record of delivering successful income generation campaigns and activity in a business or charity – ideally relating to charity lotteries.
• Experience in a target driven environment like fundraising or sales.
• Experience of working with marketing teams and other departments to support objective delivery.
• High level of specialist knowledge and experience in lottery income generating role. (Desirable)
• Strong analytical skills including evidence of data analysis and strategic planning; performance indicator tracking; finance and budget management.

Comradeship and sense of community are key elements of the health and wellbeing package enjoyed by residents of the Royal Hospital Chelsea – the Chelsea Pensioners. Our Veteran’s Outreach programme launched in late 2022 with the aim of extending this offer to the wider veterans’ community in the Greater London region and we have successfully built our own network of older veterans from all three services who, as ‘Out Pensioners’, regularly attend events, activities and Drop Ins at the Royal Hospital Chelsea. We are about to embark on an ambitious programme of extending our reach into the regions with in-person and on-line services.

As part of our vision to provide a national outreach service to veterans of state retirement age, we will be introducing a digital service in the spring of 2025 using a community engagement platform. Working with the Director and Chelsea Pensioners, initially you will be responsible for designing and developing the content and services. Reporting to the Head of Supporter Engagement, the Supporter Journeys Manager is responsible for both managing our Dynamics 365 marketing platform (both processes and data) and working across all FundComm teams to create and support delivery of a cohesive automated Supporter Journeys Strategy.
Having recently moved to a new CRM Dynamics 365, which also includes a new email and SMS marketing platform, we now have access to improved functionality for automated Journeys. The Supporter Journey Manager is a new role to support our ambitious FundComm goals around growth, income and engagement, fully utilising the potential of the new platform, as well as overseeing the testing program on all our website and online conversion forms.
Though primarily a digital focused role, the overall objective of the role is to ensure all journeys are designed to best meet FundComm overall goals while providing an optimal supporter experience. This will be done through creation of a Journey Strategy and plan for audience-led journeys across all channels, asks and platforms. As well as being responsible for design and delivery of some of the key journeys, it also involves an advisory and governance role for all FundComm automated journeys and online forms, ensuring they’re designed to maximise engagements, income and conversions along each stage in Brooke’s Engagement funnel
Criteria
The role requires working collaboratively across FundComm using Brooke’s project management principles, with line management of the Supporter Engagement & Experience Officer and Senior Journeys Officer who manages the online landing page and forms testing program. The role ensures all existing and future journeys are mapped and documented, and creating a cross-team process to test, share learning and optimise them on an ongoing basis.
We’re looking for someone who is organised and will enjoy coordinating workshops and ideas generation to recommend plans for which new journeys should be built, inspiring teams with training on best practice in journey design and copywriting. The role would suit someone target driven, with strong experience of coordinating cross team projects, while motivated to deliver high quality service.
As a key part of the role is creating, communicating and maintaining new processes, as well as governance of all source code structures and data marketing lists and journey entry rules, you’ll need to be very confident working with large data sets. Experience of designing and building automated email journeys in a similar platform and online donation page testing is essential.

This role is responsible for ensuring that CAFOD has strong, well researched and robust policy positions across our core advocacy areas, including – but not limited to - climate, debt, food systems and aid. You will work with programmes colleagues to ensure CAFOD’s policy positions are strongly rooted in the experience of our overseas partners and promotes their voices and perspectives. This post will also provide support and advice to our international programmes on advocacy development, research and monitoring.
This role will also work closely with colleagues across UK Advocacy, Campaigns, Government Relations and Media to ensure CAFOD has credible advocacy plans which are effectively influencing decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure CAFOD’s policy and advocacy work is robust and rooted in the experience of our partners and provide support to international partners.
- Support the development of key policy positions across our advocacy areas and ensure these are developed strategically and take in to account the experience of our partners, Catholic Social Teaching and current political trends, both in the UK and domestically.
- Work cross-organisationally to help develop and deliver advocacy plans which are well targeted towards the appropriate decision makers.
- Working closely with relevant policy leads, take the lead on signing off public policy positions, statements and external briefs directed towards decision makers.
- Provide oversight of CAFOD’s policy positions and advocacy plans, ensuring consistency and balancing priorities to enable us to deliver across different thematic areas.

Assistant Shop Manager
Overview
Aim and influence
- Assist the manager to achieve weekly/monthly/annual sales and profit targets for each shop.
- To assist in managing the day to day running of the shop staff and volunteers with the aim of maximising sales and controlling shop expenses to support SCT’s mission.

Feeding Families is an award winning pioneering charity at the forefront of tackling food insecurity across the North East. We are not a traditional food bank, but instead offer a unique and compassionate solution to those who face barriers to accessing conventional food provision. Our services cater to individuals who struggle with mental and physical health issues, live in rural areas, have working hours that conflict with food bank opening times, or have exhausted their food bank entitlements but are still in need.

The Role
Feeding Families is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and passionate Income Generation Lead to drive forward our fundraising, marketing, and income generation strategies. This pivotal role will focus on growing sustainable income streams, building lasting relationships with stakeholders, and leading the development of our fundraising and communications efforts. You’ll work alongside the CEO, trustees, and a dedicated team to ensure our mission of alleviating food poverty reaches even more people in need.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive fundraising and marketing strategy, aligned with Feeding Families' vision and goals.

Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Building

Food Provision Development
- Oversee in-depth research into food poverty trends to refine and target our food provision efforts effectively.
- Lead and deliver impactful seasonal initiatives, such as Christmas food support programs, maximising reach and impact.
- Collaborate with partners to identify opportunities for joint funding applications and community-based solutions to food insecurity.
- Oversee and streamline referral systems, ensuring they are compassionate, efficient, and responsive to community needs.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations, data protection laws, and ethical standards in all fundraising activities.
- Leverage CRM systems to effectively track and report on donor engagement, fundraising progress, and income.
- Work with the CEO and finance team to monitor fundraising budgets and ensure transparent and accountable allocation of donations.
About You
We’re looking for a results-driven, empathetic leader who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will bring:
- Proven experience and results in fundraising, income generation, and marketing within the charity sector (3 years min), ideally with a focus on food insecurity or community-based services.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a team to achieve ambitious goals.

- Holding a driving licence and with own transport to be able to meet the travel requirements essential to the post, including between the Charity’s centres and partner locations across the North East.
