The Fundraising Assistant will be a key member of the fundraising team. Supporting the team to deliver a wider range of fundraising activities including events, challenges and campaigns as well as helping maximise the supporter journey and providing excellent donor care. You will enjoy collaborating with others and be an excellent communicator who can plan and prioritise efficiently, whilst delivering exceptional customer service.

You will be responsible for Database Management and keeping the CRM up to date and Management of donation Platforms and being the go-to person for fundraising enquiries.

Main Responsibilities:

•  Importing data in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.
• Construction of automated tasks in the CRM which are assigned to other members of the team to enable stewardship via the correct fundraising team member.
• To assist the fundraising team by providing administrative support for the charities events and campaigns to maximise income.
• To assist with the administration of event participants and ticket buyers, including responding to enquiries in a timely fashion, building relationships by phone and email and encouraging and motivating participants to meet and exceed targets
• To keep up to date records of all collection boxes and buckets in the community
• To be the first point of contact for phone face to face plus emails via the fundraising inbox for all fundraising enquiries, respond in a timely manner and recognise the opportunity to build relationships and encourage fundraising support.
• To run and analyse weekly financial reports to ensure donations are recorded correctly and the appropriate thank you has been sent.
• Support regular gift aid claim submissions to HMRC to take place monthly.
• Support the team to provide communications to the correct audiences for marketing activity.
• Assist in processing donations from mailing appeals.
• Work with the fundraising team to ensure data recording is kept up to date in a timely way
• Assist and support other members of the fundraising team e.g., sending out events/fundraising packs and ensuring all event participants are thanked within the scheduled time.
• Regularly review and adapt supporter communications, including thank you letters and ensure these are implemented across the organisation for consistency
• Keep up to date with new developments, legal requirements, codes of conduct and best practice including being GDPR compliant.
• Manage stock of event promotional items and ensure availability of items required at events, distribute and collect items for the team
• Attend and contribute to team meetings.

Knowledge and experience:

• Strong, demonstratable experience in administration

• Experience and good working knowledge of using a CRM system (preferably Beacon)

1. Support the fundraising function, including:

• Corporate donor relations: Help build and maintain our corporate donor database, with a focus on managing commercial participators and related agreements to enhance sponsorships and collaborations. 

• Trust & Foundations: Work closely with the Head of Development on grant applications, reporting, and scheduling to secure and sustain funding. 

• Individual Giving: Lead on gathering content for our Regular Giving campaigns, including materials for the Action Syria Recipes, enhancing donor engagement and retention.  

• Marketing and communications collaboration: Ensure all fundraising initiatives are effectively marketed to the right audiences for maximum engagement and impact. 

• Supporter Care: Ensure donors are thanked promptly, appropriately, and placed on the correct support journey. Ensure data in CRM system is current and accurate.

Purpose of role

The International Board are seeking a senior International Fundraising Director with significant experience in major donor fundraising who will help drive the organisation’s fundraising strategy by strengthening and diversifying its fundraising sources. The Mission requires an experienced leader with a proven track record in international fundraising who will inspire our teams to differentiate and grow income as the organisation enters a new phase of strategic growth.  The International Fundraising Director – with this focus on Major Donors - will provide leadership, oversight and guidance to the Mission’s national country fundraising directors - working with the International Director of Communication and Individual Fundraising and the wider fundraising team.  They will work with major international donors and engage with field countries on targeted local fundraising and impact reporting. 

As a strong communicator and strategic thinker with significant practical and direct fundraising experience, this Director will serve as a key member of the International Executive Team and report to the CEO and indirectly, the Mission Without Borders (MWB) International Board. They will have significant practical experience working with major donors, trusts and foundations, institutional and corporate fundraising.

Primary responsibilities

Donor development and outreach

· To provide strategic direction, leadership and drive for fundraising in all new development areas across the Mission. They will have direct responsibility for raising funds at the international level, leading cross organizational initiatives with a specific focus on major donors, trusts, and foundations - as this is currently an underdeveloped source of income for the Mission.

· Create coherent strategic plans for driving income growth, diversifying income sources and improving donor engagement, with a focus on major donors.

· Develop and implement fundraising policies and procedures, particularly around major donors to ensure local and international consistency and compliance.

· Drive a relational fundraising culture by implementing systems and reporting to deliver effective supporter journeys with a focus on major donors.

· Lead in understanding of fundraising trends and working with wider fundraising team and national directors to improve agility in response to these trends.

· Understand and engage in program delivery needs and impact to ensure that donor and beneficiary journeys are linked and opportunities for major donor fundraising are deliverable.

Experience and Skills

We are currently looking for a CRM Systems Manager to join our IT department on a full time permanent basis.

As part of the Digital Systems team, the CRM Systems Manager is responsible for managing the organisation’s Ticketing, Customer Relationship Management and Fundraising CRM application and associated systems. This multifaceted role covers the ongoing support, training and continuous improvement of the applications.

The System Manager oversees system administration and ensures helpdesk requests are resolved appropriately and efficiently, to maximise system effectiveness and high standards of customer service.

The successful candidate will work across a variety of responsibilities which include but are not limited to: 

• Provide support to Southbank Centre and the resident orchestras on CRM, ticketing and other systems
• Research, plan and implement improvements to CRM, ticketing and other relevant systems
• Deliver training on CRM, ticketing and other systems for Southbank Centre and the resident orchestras
• Supplier management
• Supervise industry standard management and best practice processing of data relating to system database and tools to provide high-quality business information
• Take part in the relevant system communities and keep on top of the latest improvements, issues and ideas
• Support system integration and contribute to the development of Southbank Centre’s information architecture
• Contribute to compliance with relevant legislation (e.g. GDPR), regulation and best practice

Job purpose:

The Website Content Manager will lead on the content strategy for our new and improved website - delivering engaging content which inspires our audiences to take action from praying to donating in order for Muslim Hands to continue it’s lifesaving work. The Website Manager will have oversight of all pages, from blogs to appeals, responsible for optimising our each for SEO and CRO.

Main responsibilities:

• Produce and publish new pages from appeals to blogs in line with the organisation’s needs – this includes copywriting and liaising with designers for creative.
• Create and deliver the website content strategy inline with our key fundraising touchpoints – delivering an approach which puts the audience at the centre of our plans.
• Lead on our SEO strategy in partnership with our agency to deliver SEO audits, SEO driven blogs and to improve our overall website ranking.
• Lead on creating and delivering our conversion rate optimisation strategy.
• Deliver a test plan of website content which optimises the user experience.
• Create, update and audit website pages in line with the orgs needs. Including copy, creative, landing pages, functions, journeys in line with our brand guidelines.
• Work closely with the external developers to suggest new features we’d like to test in terms of the site’s functionality.
• Communicate website updates to the wider organisation.
• Lead on reporting for organic search, SEO and CRO metrics on a weekly and monthly basis – sharing with SLT.
• Work closely with the digital marketing team to provide optimal user journeys to improve our fundraising and retention efforts.

Person specification:

• A strategic thinker who will problem solve to deliver the website strategy.
• Project and time management skills including ability to implement test strategies.
• Proficient communicator with internal and external stakeholders. 
• Experience working in an agile fundraising environment and collaborating across multiple teams with strong stakeholder management skills.
• Detail orientated to provide complete and accurate content, some of which may need regular updating.
• Strong copywriter and storyteller.
• Previous Umbraco experience.
• Experience of SEO and SEM.
• Data driven and comfortable digging into analytics of website metrics.
• Experience working in a fundraising role.
