Job Title: Eastern European Floating Support Worker 

Location: Hybrid working with a requirement to occasionally work at Head Office (Vauxhall, London) and co-locations across London

We are recruiting for Floating Support Worker who will support the Ascent Pan London Service in building sustainable referral pathways and joint working protocols with a range of partners working with survivors of domestic abuse

You will provide capacity-building in the form of advice, advocacy, support, and briefings across the London boroughs to statutory agencies and community organizations around the needs of Eastern European domestic abuse survivors, to embed best practice across our communities. 

It is desirable for candidates to be proficient in one or more Eastern European languages.

You will have proven experience of providing direct emotional and practical support to women as well as up-to-date knowledge of legislation relating to survivors of gender-based violence. You will have excellent casework skills, good written and verbal communication skills, clear professional boundaries and be a proactive team player. All candidates must demonstrate a commitment to the feminist values of empowerment and equality which underpin all of our work. 

The post holder will provide a high-quality personal welfare support service to Eastern European survivors of domestic abuse and other forms of violence and abuse and their children. The post holder will empower Eastern European survivors by providing them with emotional and practical support, including support to access safe accommodation. 

The post holder will provide capacity building in the form of advice, advocacy, support and briefings across the London boroughs to statutory agencies and community organizations around the needs of Eastern European domestic abuse survivors, to embed best practice across our communities.

Purpose of This Role: 

This is a crucial role to support NASP’s strategic objectives to promote and spread social prescribing at a local, national, and international level.

This pivotal role involves supporting a number of programmes that aim to develop social prescribing within healthcare systems. • Provide coordination, administration and communication support to programmes which focus on engaging the NHS and clinicians, liaising with senior NASP staff, consultants and key partners  

• Assist in establishing and maintaining strategic advisory groups within NASP to foster collaboration, peer support, and knowledge-sharing among stakeholders

The Joint Public Issues Team (JPIT) is recruiting to two full time paid internship positions: one focused on Communications (to start as soon as possible) and the other on supporting local churches to build relationships with their MPs (to start in September 2025).

You would be working as part of a small ecumenical team on a diverse range of tasks and initiatives including communications, policy, campaigning and supporter engagement, contributing to the public advocacy and political engagement work of the Baptist, Methodist and United Reformed Churches.

About JPIT 

JPIT is a partnership between the Baptist Union of Great Britain, the Methodist Church and the United Reformed Church, and the Church of Scotland is an associate partner. Its purpose is to help the Churches to work together for peace and justice through listening, learning, praying, speaking and acting on public policy issues. It is a team which brings together around ten staff working across the denominations. In recent years it has focused on issues around poverty, the economy, refugees and migration, the environment, peace and conflict, and politics.

The Internships

These internships provide opportunities to develop skills in campaigning, communications, research, and policy within a dynamic team environment. There will be opportunities for professional and personal learning and development to equip the intern for further employment after their time on the internship. Job Outline:

CFAB is a national charity and the UK branch of the International Social Service network. CFAB’s social work team helps to resolve cases involving child protection, children in care, unaccompanied children, and vulnerable adults when the case crosses international borders. CFAB social workers and caseworkers offer advice and guidance to individuals and local authorities and help to link social work services between the UK and other countries.

The main purpose of this role is to assist with the day to day running of the CFAB Advice Line and manage a caseload of allocated inter-country cases originating from the UK or overseas.

Key responsibilities:

Finance

· Code and process purchase invoices, staff expenses and obtain authorisation of expenditure as per financial procedures manual.

· Save copies of the Approval Max pdf’s in the Purchase folder.

· Prepare sales invoices to customers on the receipt of instruction from the social work team and email copy of invoice to customers.

· Liaise with the social work team to ensure sales invoice requests are generated for all Opportunities raised in Salesforce.

· Update Salesforce to reflect processed sales invoices.

· Maintain records of sales and purchase invoices in accordance with CFAB’s policies and procedures

· Banking of cheques received.

· Perform credit control duties according to the financial procedures manual.

· Handle and process all petty cash claims in accordance with CFAB policy, and ensure these are correctly authorised and reconcile the petty cash tin monthly.

· Maintain the files of supplier contracts including assisting the Finance Manager to review contracts periodically.

· Maintain the Local Authority Finance contacts spreadsheet.

· Assist the Finance Manager with the maintenance of the charity asset register.

· Assisting the Finance Manager to ensure suppliers and expenses are paid on time.

· Assist the Finance Manager with monthly reconciliations (e.g. ensure that all oncosts from ISW’s are recharged to Local Authorities accordingly).

· Be the key contact for any finance queries.

· Provision of management information and reports as required.

Human Resources

• Assisting the FHR Manager with HR administration support, including recruitment administration, Data Protection, maintaining legally compliant and up to date HR files etc.

Job Summary:

The Executive Assistant to the Deputy Director of Programmes will provide high-level administrative support, ensuring the efficient operation of the office and supporting the Deputy Director in managing their workload. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent organisational, communication, and multitasking skills, capable of handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. The Executive Assistant will act as a key liaison between the Deputy Director, internal departments, and external stakeholders, contributing to the overall effectiveness and impact of the Programmes Department.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Administrative Support:
   • Manage the Deputy Director’s diary, schedule meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
   • Prepare and organise meeting agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items.
   • Draft, edit, and proofread correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents on behalf of the Deputy Director.
   • Handle incoming communications (emails, calls, etc.) and respond or redirect as appropriate.
2. Project Coordination:
   • Assist in the coordination of projects and initiatives led by the Deputy Director, including tracking progress, deadlines, and deliverables.
   • Conduct research and compile data to support project planning and decision-making.
   • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless execution of cross-functional projects.
   • Maintain and update project documentation and files.
3. Liaison and Communication:
   • Serve as the primary point of contact between the Deputy Director and internal/external stakeholders.
   • Facilitate communication and collaboration between the Deputy Director and team members, ensuring information is accurately conveyed and deadlines are met.
   • Represent the Deputy Director in meetings or events when necessary.
4. Office Management:
   • Organise and maintain the Deputy Director’s office, ensuring it is well-equipped and efficient.
   • Manage office supplies, equipment, and budget as needed.
   • Coordinate with IT and other support services to ensure the Deputy Director has the necessary tools and resources.
5. Event and Meeting Coordination:
   • Plan and organise departmental meetings, workshops, and events, including logistics, catering, and materials preparation.

   • Ensure all event and meeting details are flawlessly executed.
6. Confidentiality and Discretion:
   • Handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality.

7. Personal Assistance:
   • Provide occasional personal assistance to the Deputy Director as needed, including managing personal appointments or tasks.

Qualifications:

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or a related field is preferred.

Role description: 

We are seeking a highly motivated and self-driven individual to join our Fundraising Team as the Community Fundraiser. You will lead, plan, cost and deliver an exciting and varied community fundraising programme to grow income and a strong return on investment. Main Responsibilities: 

• To develop, support the delivery of and evaluate a strategic supporter journey and stewardship journey across the community fundraising programme focused on generating net return and supporter retention.  

• To create and increase awareness of fundraising for Southampton Hospitals Charity across all University Hospital Southampton sites working closely with the Marketing and Communications team

• To foster effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders including consultants, doctors, nurses, care group managers etc 

• To ensure visibility of fundraising materials including poster sites and leaflet holders in the hospitals, community etc and ensure they are kept up to date and relevant

• To be proactive in seeking out new fundraising opportunities, relationships, and networks.
