About the Role
A unique and dynamic role, our Engagement and Development Co-ordinator will:
· Promote ARC’s work to health professionals, retaining and building sustainable relationships
· Develop and deliver training sessions and projects to help raise standards of care and disseminate best practice
· Help generate funds for ARC through such projects
· Offer sensitive and impartial information and support to users of the ARC helpline and bereaved parent members of ARC
· Share in the general administration of ARC e.g. answering enquiries, production of newsletters, Annual information and support day, conferences etc.
About You
We don’t expect you to have knowledge of the subject area or have a medical background as extensive training will be provided on the job. What you will need to bring is:
· Unwavering commitment to the principle of women making their own reproductive decisions
· High level of emotional intelligence with excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
· Ability to learn quickly and a keenness to be an integral part of a small team
· Voluntary Sector experience would be useful.

Role Overview:
The Volunteer Coordinator for WeSwim is a key role responsible for recruiting and onboarding volunteers to support all our activities and events, ensuring a positive and rewarding experience for all. - Volunteer management & support: Maintain an up-to-date database of volunteers, including contact information, availability, and skills. Work with Club Committees (lead volunteers) to foster a positive and inclusive environment for volunteers, encouraging teamwork and community spirit.
- Marketing & Communications: Develop social media marketing and email communications to support recruitment and retention of volunteers in line with strategy.
- Setup of new swimming clubs: Scope & contact future pool partners, develop and deliver engagement plans to recruit new volunteers and swimmers to attend the club when it opens in partnership with WeSwim team.
- Stakeholder engagement: Build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders including: local authorities, community organisations, disability charities & sports clubs. Represent WeSwim at community events, meetings, and public engagements. Develop and implement strategies to increase the club’s visibility and reputation in the community.

Role Overview:
As a Young Persons Link Worker, you will be providing social prescribing support to young people, and/or their families. The aim of the role is to help clients improve their health and wellbeing by connecting them to community support. This could include helping people with a range of issues such as coping with social pressures, emotional wellbeing, physical inactivity, financial difficulties, crime, loneliness, bullying, relationship issues, housing issues and family problems.
The role involves working with professionals in Primary Care, education, social services and other community and voluntary sector services to develop the service. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, passionate about supporting people and dedicated to reducing inequalities in the local area.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:
Person-centred care and support
- Deliver effective social prescribing appointments using a holistic and person-centred approach
- Empower clients to take control of their own wellbeing by building their confidence, motivating them to set goals and creating personalised action plan
- Signpost and refer people to local voluntary, community and statutory services that help meet their needs
Communication and Collaboration
- Work with the Primary Care partners and the Enable Health & Wellbeing Team to develop a social prescribing service that supports young people and families
- Maintain regular contact with primary care teams, providing updates and sharing knowledge of local VCSE organisations
- Develop supportive relationships and work in partnership with local VCSE organisations, community groups, and statutory services to make safe and effective onward referrals
Service Quality and Development
- Collect and record outcome and monitoring data using required systems, contributing to the evaluation of the programm
- Manage own case load to ensure clients receive appropriate levels of support and expectations are met and keep accurate records of client interactions and record all onward referrals to VCSE service
- Gather client feedback to evaluate the quality of the service and to inform service changes and developments
- Complete Quality Assurance Assessments for VCSE organisations accepting social prescribing referrals to ensure they are safe, effective, and have the support they need to be part of social prescribing
Skills and Experience:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a role that involves delivering face-to-face support in a relevant health, social care or youth work environment
- At least 2 years’ experience working with/ supporting disadvantaged young people and their families
- Experience of working with the VCSE sector, including with volunteers, small community groups and youth groups
- Experience of partnership working and relationship building across different sectors and organisations
- Motivational interviewing, behaviour change, or health coaching qualification (desirable) or willingness to undertake training (essential)
- Understanding of the challenge’s young people and families within inner London face particularly relating to obesity and mental health issues
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint) and other client monitoring systems or tools as required
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships with a wide range partners including GPs, VCSE organisations and service users
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written; able to communicate with a range of stakeholders in a meaningful way
- Able to work flexible hours if required by the post and able to work in various setting
- Able to commute to various service locations across the borough as required

We’re an award-winning charity running local learning centres in the heart of the communities where the young people we support live. Our centres provide a high-impact education programme which includes practical learning support, pastoral care, and motivational and confidence-building activities for young people aged 7-18. We are looking for a high-calibre candidate to take up a fixed-term role as Centre Leader at our IntoUniversity centre in Kennington. You will have responsibility for running your IntoUniversity centre, including managing your team, planning and delivering the programme, liaising with external stakeholders and meeting IntoUniversity’s targets for delivery. A substantial element of this role is delivering our education programme to children and young people aged 7-18, so you will need to have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for working with young people, including leading a class of 30 from the front, working with small teams of children and providing one-to-one support.

Eligibility for the role
In order to be eligible for the Centre Leader role, applicants will:
- Have completed an undergraduate degree to a 2.2 or higher.
- Have achieved a grade C/ grade 4 or higher in GCSE Maths and English/ achieved National 5s or Standard Grade at Credit level (grades 1-2) in Maths and English (or equivalent).
- Have EITHER a minimum of 18 months full-time paid experience working in a delivery role at IntoUniversity; OR a minimum of 2 years full-time paid or voluntary experience working with children and young people, either at IntoUniversity, or external organisations, or a combination of both. Please note that we will not take part-time, seasonal or ad-hoc work into account when calculating the length of full-time experience.

- Be able to apply knowledge of F.E. and H.E. (e.g. UCAS applications) to help young people decide about their futures; and have knowledge of national developments in H.E. and their impact on young people traditionally underrepresented in H.E.

What will my main dutires be?
