About the Role

We are looking for an outstanding Institutional Programme Funding Principal to lead our institutional fundraising efforts. This role is critical in shaping and implementing our funding strategy, ensuring we secure and manage large-scale grants that drive our global mission forward. You will be responsible for developing high-quality funding applications, managing relationships with key institutional donors, and ensuring compliance with all funding requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of the institutional programme funding strategy, coordinating applications, partnerships, and reporting processes.
• Research and cultivate new institutional funding opportunities globally (e.g., FCDO, USAID, NORAD, J/TIP).
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to design projects aligned with our global and country strategies.
• Produce high-quality, high-value funding applications, including proposals, budgets, Gantt charts, and monitoring plans.
• Negotiate grant agreements and ensure compliance with institutional donor requirements.
• Manage relationships with institutional funders, ensuring timely and comprehensive reporting.

Main purpose of the role:

The Community Leader (Director) leads the Community in living the mission of L’Arche in our community life, by providing outstanding, person-centred and financially sustainable care and support services, by support for shared community and spirituality, and by engagement with the wider community around us.

Are you a leader who can:

• Inspire and lead a diverse and talented community of over 100 individuals with and without learning disabilities -  people we support, employees, volunteers, long-term friends and members.
• Oversee and develop £2.5 million worth of registered care, supported living, and day services, ensuring compliance with CQC requirements, alignment with the L’Arche vision and values, and maintaining financial sustainability.
• Lead a team of 70 employees through strategic direction, effective processes and service delivery, and emotionally intelligent, collaborative, forward-thinking people management.
• Represent L’Arche London externally in fundraising efforts, outreach to build local partnerships, and participation in L’Arche UK leadership and governance forums.

• Embody and advocate for the L’Arche ethos of cultivating deep, long-term, and mutually transformative relationships between individuals with and without learning disabilities.
• The L’Arche London Community includes nine supported living services, one registered care home, and two day workshops, serving 34 individuals—all located within a mile of West Norwood Station.

The Role

• Lead a community that intentionally responds to the needs, choices and context of our members, and is faithful to the L’Arche UK Vision and Values, and Mission statement, and to a co-created Community Mandate and plan.
• Maintain and enhance high-quality, person-centred care, support, and housing for people with learning disabilities, both at home and in our day services. .
• Ensure the Community’s financial sustainability through robust financial planning and management. 
• Foster a culture that maximises the voice and power for people with learning disabilities, and builds listening and collaboration between Community members with and without learning disabilities (including through an active Community Support Group, Community Council, Community Gatherings, listening circles, and other forums).
• Lead and manage a diverse, committed, and engaged leadership team to achieve objectives, set a positive culture, and support the personal and professional growth of our leaders.
• Cultivate an open, creative, and inclusive spiritual life, inviting everyone in the Community to deepen their collective growth.  Support and encourage events that build community belonging.

We are seeking a Reserves Officer (North Hampshire) to join our cause.  

Reporting to the Senior Nature Recovery Manager (North Hampshire) and functioning as a key member of the North Hampshire Area Team, this post is responsible for the habitat management of five MoD sites in the northeast of the County which form part of the Thames Basin Heaths, and the nationally important Greywell Moors near Hook. This portfolio of sites includes a diverse mixture of heathland and Fen habitats; all of which are being managed or restored to favourable condition with support from the team and in partnership with organisations such as the MoD, NE, EA, external graziers and our inhouse grazing team. 

The suite of sites includes a significant acreage of the MOD training estate, which is comprised of internationally important lowland heath; there are also an exciting range of fen, woodland, wood pasture, also neutral and acid grasslands within the wider Northern estate. 

The Reserve Officer (North Hampshire) will deliver Countryside Stewardship Scheme and other work plan objectives, working with fellow staff, volunteers, contractors, project partners and the grazing team to implement habitat management activities. Estate management will also include the maintenance of reserve infrastructure and gathering ecological data through working with partners and carrying out surveying when required. 

Alongside the practical and administrative delivery associated with reserve management and general estate management tasks; this role will also be working closely with the wider team to ensure the northern estate and its staff are being as effective as possible, while maintaining a close and supportive relationship with our grazing team.

About Media Defence

Media Defence is a charity that helps media to defend their rights. We support independent media, journalists and citizen journalists who are under legal threat by making sure that lawyers are available to defend them. We engage in strategic litigation to improve the regulatory environment for media freedom, make grants to organisations in various countries to run media defence programmes, and build the capacity of the lawyers and organisations we work with on issues of media law.

About the Role

As Events Coordinator and Team Assistant, you will support the CEO, as well as the Operations, the Development and Capacity Building teams across all their events, traveling and administrative needs. Your main job responsibilities will be centred on organising and managing the admin that supports our work. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of in person activities and administrative functions, working closely across the organisation.

Main Responsibilities

Events planning and coordination

• Coordinate logistical aspects of in person programme activities, including venue arrangements, participant travel, accommodation, and catering. These activities may include meetings for lawyers, regional and international convenings for Media Defence's network of partners, and fellowships
• Implement the logistical planning of events, including visas, flights, ground transportation, itineraries, and other travel-related arrangements, ensuring that all donor requirements are satisfied, such as the Fly America Act where applicable

Contractual and Financial Coordination

• Support the Finance and Operations Director to ensure that event logistics align with donor requirements and Media Defence policy requirements, with a particular focus on financial compliance and the accurate implementation of travel, finance, and procurement policies
• Coordinate with external vendors, service providers, and contractors to manage contracts, payments, and other financial transactions related to event logistics

Team Support

• Manage diaries and organise team meetings

BMS World Mission is a Christian mission organisation founded in 1792, today we are working in around 30 countries over four continents. We are passionate about making Jesus known across the world and transforming the lives of those we serve.

We’re looking for BMS Regional Speakers (five positions) to nurture and strengthen relationships with churches and gain new regular supporters so we can see more communities transformed in Jesus’ name. You should be an enthusiastic advocate for mission, an excellent public speaker and confident in making a financial ask for BMS. You need to be outcome-driven and work towards agreed targets in the number of successful speaking engagements and new regular givers. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, have a strong commitment to outstanding supporter care, have excellent organisational skills, and be proactive and computer literate. You will have a global vision, a heart for mission and be passionate about the role of the UK church in a growing world church. This is a rewarding and very active role. 

You will conduct 15 speaking engagements to allocated churches in your region. 12 out of the 15 engagements need to take place during the main service, most likely on a Sunday morning. Other engagements can happen on a Saturday or mid-week event. If required and individually agreed, instead of two of the 15 speaking engagements at a church, the role holder might represent BMS at a ministers’ conference or a Christian event. Preparation, training, travel and speaking time are compensated and mileage is reimbursed. 

The time required for this role adds up to about 12 hours per month / 140 hours per year. This is made up of 15 speaking engagements, including the time for travel, arriving early and staying for tea and biscuits (5h per speaking engagement), preparation time (0.5h per engagement), keeping up to date with BMS’ development with our regular publications (about 15h per year), organising speaking engagements, including all communications with the church from the offer of a visit to follow up communications after a visit, recording all communications and raising any changes to role holders (2h per engagement), attending training (online and in person), team and coaching meetings (about 15h per year). 

Please note that BMS deems this role to be inside IR35 and, due to the nature of the role, will contract successful candidates via an Umbrella Agency for pay and tax purposes. You would log your hours on an hours sheet which you would submit quarterly.

The successful applicant will be a committed Christian. The nature of this role means that this is a specific occupational requirement.

We are currently recruiting a Programme Assistant and Executive Assistant to manage a portfolio of grants and contribute to the implementation of the IAWP strategy. In addition, this Programme Assistant and Executive Assistant will support London-based Trustees by managing their schedules, arranging travel, and processing discretionary grants. The role of the Programme Assistant and Executive Assistant is essential in maintaining the seamless operations and success of our foundation.

Executive Assistant to London based Trustees (approximately 30%)

• Processing discretionary grants for Trustees by liaising with the organisations identified to receive grants, collecting necessary documentation, and coordinating with Oak grant management team
• Assisting the Trustees with external contacts, including prioritising correspondence and phone inquiries, drafting responses as necessary, and managing workflow emerging from these contacts
• Scheduling and coordinating Trustee appointments, meetings, and travel itineraries, including the preparation of background materials, arranging meetings and events, and ensuring appropriate follow-up of decisions and agreements
• Supporting Trustees in various boards and committees, including all aspects of preparation and follow-up

• Grant-making: Master grant-making tools, especially the grant management system (i.e. database) to facilitate team management of the grant-making process. Develop a deep understanding of the grant portfolio to support execution of the overall strategy.
• Communications: Work with the Communications Department to prepare and pull together material for presentations, briefings, and background material as required. Work with the team and director to manage a communications plan for the programme. This may include preparing and coordinating material and presentations for board meetings, events, meetings, and team calls. • Recruitment: When recruitments take place, follow-up with candidates at all stages of the process in liaison with the HR team.

Other support tasks including:

• Performing reception duties by meeting and greeting visitors for the Trustees and the IAWP programme
• Advising staff visiting from other offices about arrangements for visiting London (e.g., hotels, restaurants, booking meeting rooms) for Trustees and IAWP related visits
• Setting up the office for newcomers in IAWP team: arranging desks, IT devices, and stationary etc
• Acting as back up to others in the London office for office management tasks (i.e., performing reception duties, liaising with office concierge, and setting up offices for newcomers, etc).

The Partnerships Coordinator post is an exciting role with Tutor Trust. You will assist the Strategic Partnerships Manager to maintain and build key school relationships and networks contributing to customer retention and business growth.
