Founded in 1997, GamCare is one of the leading providers of information, advice and support for anyone affected by gambling harms. We operate the National Gambling Helpline, provide treatment for anyone who is harmed by gambling, create awareness about safer gambling and treatment, and encourage an effective approach to safer gambling within the gambling industry.
The role
This is a great time to join GamCare as we are growing the reach of our services. We are looking for Gambling Support Practitioners with qualifications or experience in health or social care, and an empathic style to enable people to change their behaviour through skilled intervention.
Crucially, you will ensure that psychosocial, and recovery support interventions are delivered as part of a cohesive recovery plan while working collaboratively with external and partner organisations to achieve positive outcomes for service users.
There will be lots of opportunity to participate in service promotion, networking activities and events to support the visibility of the service, as well as developing relationships with local services and communities to strengthen pathways into the service.
We are looking for an individual to work full-time, which will include four days of 9 – 5pm and one day of 12 - 8pm per week (can be negotiated), Monday to Friday. Due to possible requirements of the service, there will potentially be the occasional Saturday to be worked 9 – 2pm remotely.
This is a home-based position with a requirement to travel across the East Midlands region. This would vary but could be 2-3 days a week.
About you
You should have significant experience in individual client work in the field of addictions, mental health or a social care setting with adults or young people. You should be flexible in using a range of low and high-intensity interventions and modalities, including cognitive behavioural tools (CBT).
The successful candidate will be expected to be able to work from home thereby having the space for a confidential setting whilst also being able to travel within the region to attend events and offer localised in person support as required.

About the programme

We are excited to launch our two-year career and leadership development programme which will provide an opportunity to work within, and rotate between, our organisational practices.
We are delighted that you are interested in joining the Social Impact Fast Track. In the first year of your programme you will join the team as an Analyst and, subject to successful completion of year one, in year two you will progress to Senior Analyst. During your two-year programme you will work within at least two of our organisational practices. You will work directly with our partners, understanding their needs and supporting them to maximise their impact. During the programme you will also lead pro-bono projects for our corporate social responsibility partners.
In addition to gaining experience with our partners and within our teams, you will undertake a structured learning and development programme which includes mentoring from one of our Group Directors, and regular learning and development sessions including a dedicated professional development budget. Between years one and two you will receive a two-week paid break and a budget of up to £1500 to complete a research project on ‘Impact and Sustainability’ and report your findings back to representatives of our Group Board. You will also have the opportunity to have a two-week placement in one of our partner organisations, to help you develop your professional skill set. At the end of the programme we expect a number of participants to apply for and progress into our Officer and Manager roles, or look to secure positions with our partners or other like minded social purpose organisations.
This programme is an opportunity to work within a growing education-focused social enterprise and contribute to directly supporting our social purpose organisations. This programme is open to applicants from a range of backgrounds, whether you are a recent graduate, returning to work or looking for a career change.

About the Role
The Digital Business Analyst and Project Lead (Digital Lead) will be responsible for several critical areas, including leading the ongoing use and development of Partner API and integration offer, working directly with digital teams in client organisations and software providers with the ‘Star in other Software’ offer and leading on the scoping and delivery of a wide variety of digital projects.

About You

What we're looking for
We are looking for a quick-thinking, organised, insightful and analytical intern to join our consulting team. Your role as an Intern in our Consulting Team
As a member of the consulting team (after sufficient training) you will be given the opportunity to work on some of Scriptoria’s exciting international consulting projects alongside senior team members. The work will be varied and will involve working closely with our team of developers to conceptualise and design our specialist project-management software for international development and research organisations. You will therefore have excellent communication skills to translate the needs of the clients into actionable instructions for the data team. Salary: Annual gross salary of £21,673.60 per year (pro rata), paid monthly

Location and hours: Home (UK only) or office-based in South London. Our standard working hours are 8.30am to 5.30pm every day with one hour for lunch (1pm to 2pm).
