• Recent and ongoing paid or voluntary experience of managing your own caseload of money advice and income maximisation cases.
• Ability to write detailed up to date case notes, letters and reports as required in plain English.
• Ability to manage a challenging caseload, meet targets and prioritise work in the face of competing demands on your time.
• Ability to respond sensitively to clients from a variety of backgrounds who are under pressure and negotiate with third parties in order to minimise conflict.

Our mission is to supports adults, young people and children living with long-term neurological conditions and/or neuro diversities to access specialist therapies, support, and information in a safe, supportive environment to help them improve their physical and mental well-being.

The Merlin Neuro Therapy Centre, located in mid-Cornwall, is a Cornish charity providing a place of support, therapy, information, and community for people living with a long-term neurological condition and/or those who are neurodiverse. We give financial assistance to our beneficiaries in the form of subsidised specialist therapies. Our purpose built, fully accessible Centre, opened in 2009 and offers physiotherapy; exercise classes; Ayres’ Sensory Integration (ASI) therapy (a discipline of Occupational Therapy), and oxygen therapy. The Primrose Hydrotherapy Pool facility, which was built in the grounds, opened in 2019, providing both individual and group hydrotherapy sessions. 

Living with a long-term health condition brings many challenges, not just for those diagnosed, but also for family members. Symptoms can affect physical, cognitive, emotional, and psychological health. For our clients who have sensory processing difficulties, due to being neurodivergent, everyday situations and relationships can be perplexing and taxing. 

Our main aims are to improve the health and well-being of our community; help people manage their symptoms and situations; and support their main care giver, often a family member. Services are delivered by a highly experienced team, with a broad range of skills and experience in delivering specialist therapies.

The Role

We are looking for a Community Fundraising Officer who has the key skills to help us raise vital income for our charity.  You will develop and deliver fundraising initiatives through partnerships with local groups, schools, associations and individuals.  This role will also involve delivering fundraising events. Organisation and creativity are essential skills for this role.  

Volunteers are at the heart of our charity, and it is essential our community volunteer base is grown and supported to ensure successful community fundraising in Cornwall. Being friendly, approachable and leading by example are key attributes to the success of this role. 

To devise, plan and support a strong and successful events programme to raise substantial income and awareness across Cornwall, attracting different sections of the community including family members and corporates.

About you 

• To raise and maximise fundraising within the Cornish community 

• Recruit, train and lead a community volunteer base who will be advocates for The Merlin Centre by promoting and fundraising for the charity.

• Attending group, school and community presentations/talks across the county to successfully communicate our charities mission. 

• Attending cheque presentations from individual and community fundraising efforts. 

• Research and identify new community fundraising and promotional activities that are appropriate for the Merlin Centre to take part in. 

• Support with all event planning for the Merlin Centre 

• To assist the Income Generation Team in delivering against their financial and non-financial targets as specified within the Income Generation strategy. 

• Be an outstanding advocate for the Merlin Neurotherapy Centre in line with the core values of the organisation.  

• To act as a spokesperson for the charity when required, including representing at external events as appropriate  

• Attend and support events run by the fundraising teams where required.  

• Gain and maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of the charity’s work, priorities, future plans and act as a spokesperson for the Charity when required 

• Any other reasonable duties as required by your line manager.

Box Tree Farm is a mental health Crisis House service, supporting individuals experiencing a mental health crisis within a recovery based model.  The service is a 24hr support service, operating 7 days per week 365 days per year.  Due to this our hours of work are scheduled and agreed via a rota system, agreed in advance with our teams.  We have been operating in the area for a number of years and offer a staffed service to support those aged 18 and upwards.

We know that recovery can look and feel very different to each and every one of us. But we also know that if we provide the right support, at the right time, we can inspire recovery nationwide and that recovery is possible for everyone. That’s where you come in. The Crisis Centre is one of the 5 crisis services under our Nightlight brand we provide to residents in Hertfordshire:

1. Crisis Centre – 24/7, 365 days a year
2. Crisis Helpline – 365 days a year, 7pm to 1am
3. Crisis Cafes providing drop in support – 365 days a year, 7pm to 1am
4. Daylight – short term, outreach support
5. A&E Crisis Support in Watford and Lister Hospitals (in partnership with Mid Herts Mind)

This role is leading a team of coordinators and support workers to provide excellent support within a small 4 bed crisis centre in Hemel Hempstead, which is a short stay provision, usually 3 or 4 nights, to provide;

• emotional support
• support to develop coping strategies, support plans and safety plans
• ensuring robust discharge plans in place for on-going support

Key Accountabilities

• On occasion, provide emotional support, advice, signposting, assessing risk, support planning for clients in mental health crisis often where risks are significant.
• Overseeing and ensuring the delivery of appropriate needs and risk assessments and support planning for clients.
• Liaise with statutory agencies to ensure appropriate intervention is obtained.
• Organising a rota to ensure appropriate service cover is in place at all times across the Nightlight Crisis Centre provision.
• Contribute to an on-call service, on rotational basis, usually every 8 weeks, taking calls outside of 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday providing staff support.
• Representing Nightlight and wider HMN at external meetings, and network locally to develop contacts, services and raise Herts Mind Network’s profile.
• Manage budgets, expenses, payroll as well as facilities needed for the centre
• Supporting the Crisis manager with developing and ensuring ongoing positive relationship with external NHS, local authority and emergency services including Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Teams, Single Point of Access, Safeguarding Out of Hours Service, Mental Health Liaison Teams, Adult Community Mental Health Services etc.
• Provide management support to Crisis Centre Coordinators and support the Crisis Manager in ensuring practice within the service is safe, effective and person centred, as well as supporting the implementation of strategic service plans.

Work Location:  The post holder will be required to be office-based initially to support their induction and integration with the service.  Thereafter, a blended model (40 office/60 home), with office working in London and home working (must have adequate and confidential workspace when remote working). Job Purpose: To undertake individual sessions and group work with men and women who have been mandated by Courts to engage in behavioural change support and/or attend a Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Programme. The purpose of this role is to move the perpetrator along the spectrum of awareness; acceptance of impact; desire to change; so they are ready to meaningfully engage in behavioural change. To liaise with the Drive Partnership Triage team, actively contribute to risk management procedures and team working. This role includes working with clients through individual programme delivery as well as group work and will work with perpetrators whose victims have been identified through all levels of risk.

The Domestic Abuse Protection Order (DAPO) is a civil order that was legislated for in the Domestic Abuse Act 2021, the aim of which is to provide longer-term protection to victims of domestic abuse. DAPOs can be applied for in all court jurisdictions by the victim, police or a third party.

DAPOs can impose both prohibitions and positive requirements on perpetrators. Positive requirements can be in the form of interventions aimed at reducing and managing risk, mandated by Court to address issues or needs related to factors that are not the causation of abuse but impact on risk. These could include engaging with Mental Health services, Substance Misuse services or attending a Perpetrator-Focused Domestic Abuse behaviour change programme. 

Our involvement:
As a key local partner TLC: Talk, Listen, Change supported Greater Manchester Police’s application to be part of the pilot and we are now commissioned by the Drive Partnership to enhance our existing locally commissioned voluntary perpetrator behaviour change programmes as part of the DAPO pilot. We are seeking to expand our existing Domestic Abuse Prevention Team to support the pilot. The Home Office are funding a two year pilot which will be tested and evaluated in order to prepare for national roll out in 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

Interagency work 

• Work to embed the Domestic Abuse Prevention role into multi-agency responses to domestic abuse in the area
• Effective understanding and implementation of institutional advocacy by pro-socially challenging partner agencies, acknowledging best practice and striving for change to benefit the individual, the service and the sector. 
• Working closely with other professionals to ensure that risk management and safeguarding duties are effectively met. 
• Develop and maintain effective partnership working with statutory, private and voluntary agencies to address the issue of domestic abuse. 
• Represent the service at operational multi-agency meetings, feeding back initiatives and outcomes to the team and contribute to the evaluation of the quality of activities these services offer. 
• Provide a single point of proactive and regular contact for a range of professionals involved in the case of the service user. 

Client work 

• To conduct abuse prevention work with men and women in a way that shows an understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on partners, ex partners and children.
• To facilitate or co-facilitate a structured abuse prevention individual or group work programme for men or women who have been abusive towards an (ex) partner. 
• To liaise with the Drive Partnership Triage team to assess suitability for the abuse prevention programme, based on DAPO pilot requirements and the Domestic Abuse Prevention Programme’s aims and criteria.
• To conduct both individual and group work with clients dependent on need/programme suitability.
• To implement actions agreed in risk reviews.
• To assist in presentations or workshops about the DAPO* Pilot
• To take part in risk review meetings with other Domestic Abuse Prevention workers regarding the progress of perpetrators and issues arising from work with partners, in order to ensure that partners, ex partners and children's safety remains at the forefront of the Domestic Abuse Prevention Programme’s work.
• To provide day-to-day support, advice and back-up to other workers and/or volunteers.

Administration 

• To assist with collecting information needed for monitoring purposes.
• To provide assistance in producing statistical and other reports on work done to meet the requirements of funders and the Board of Trustees and co-operating in the on-going evaluation of TLC: Talk Listen Change.
• To maintain appropriate client records, keeping accurate client notes and making use of TLC: Talk, Listen, Change’s case management system. 

• To undertake outcome monitoring and evaluation questionnaires using the Domestic Abuse Prevention Programme service outcomes framework

  Other

• To work across multiple delivery sites, main sites to be agreed upon job offer with occasional cover necessary across Greater Manchester. 
• To participate in developing policy, strategies, and working practices of TLC: Talk Listen Change by attending meetings and giving feedback as appropriate to others doing this work.
• To conduct all work in a way that reflects the aims and principles of TLC, Talk Listen Change in particular TLC, Talk Listen Change policies on Equal Opportunities and Confidentiality.
• To keep up to date with domestic abuse issues and participate in relevant training as required.
• To undertake other duties as reasonably requested.

The Hepatitis C Trust has developed projects nationally whereby peers use their lived experience of injecting drug use and hepatitis C, to provide education and training to service users and staff in drug and alcohol, hostel and homeless services, increasing hepatitis C awareness, access to testing and referral to treatment, for people living with hepatitis C.

We are looking for a passionate and skilled peer lead who has excellent communication and organisational skills. Working under the guidance of the Peer Programme Manager, this post will continue the development of the project, recruiting and coordinating peers across identified areas within Eastern ODN. Working in partnership with hepatitis C clinical teams, drug and alcohol services and homeless service providers, the post will coordinate delivery of educational workshops, hepatitis C testing in community settings, ensure that service users are referred and supported through hepatitis C treatment and care. 

This post will require extensive travel across Bedford and Luton (and the surrounding areas) and the post holder is required to hold a clean driving licence and have their own vehicle for work related travel.

About the Programme

The Creative Minds Programme is a six-month initiative promoting mental health and well-being through creative activities like painting, music, writing, and more. Open to adults (over the age of 18) in West Kent, the programme offers inclusive, free sessions led by professional artists and supported by wellbeing workers. Participants need no prior experience, just enthusiasm and a desire to improve their mental health.

Key Objectives include boosting confidence, fostering connections, enhancing life skills, and increasing participants' ability to manage their mental health and support others.

Now in its second year, the programme aims to support 864 adults over three years, with a focus on those with mental health challenges or feelings of loneliness. In addition to creative workshops, the programme offers leadership training to select participants, empowering them to become "Creative Agents." These agents lead "Creative Places" to engage the wider public in community-based creative activities.

The programme is set to conclude in March 2026, with two more rounds of activities still to come.

About the role

Our Creative Minds programme, funded by the National Lottery, is designed to enhance mental health and wellbeing for adults in West Kent through engaging in creative activities. These 24-week programmes are held in various locations across West Kent and are conducted in collaboration with professional artists, local arts organisations, and our Creative Agents, supported by the West Kent Mind community wellbeing team.

The programme leverages creativity to support mental health and wellbeing.

We are seeking an Independent Evaluator to assess the effectiveness of the Creative Minds Programme, a three-year initiative supported by the National Lottery Community Fund.

Following a successful first year, the evaluator will use various methodologies to evaluate:

Effectiveness and how well the programme met its objectives and outcomes to include but not limited to:

• Impact: Short- and long-term effects on clients' mental health and well-being.
• Accessibility and Inclusivity: Measures taken to ensure activities are accessible to all.
• Collaborators: Engagement levels among staff, volunteers, artists, clients, and partners.
• Public Outcomes: Community engagement with programme results.
• Challenges and Lessons Learned: Identification of challenges and strategies used, with insights for future projects.

Methodology will include a mixed approach using surveys, interviews, observations, case studies, and data analysis, including metrics from the Short Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale (SWEMWBS).

Deliverables:

• Evaluation plan with data collection tools.
• Interim report (May 2025) with preliminary findings and adjustments.
• Final report (March 2026) detailing programme impact, challenges, and recommendations.
• Presentation of findings to the National Lottery Community Fund.

Who you are

All previous experience may be paid or voluntary, full or part-time, in the UK or overseas.

Applicants are expected to demonstrate the following:

· Proven experience in evaluating arts and health programmes or similar community-based initiatives.

· Strong knowledge and understanding of creativity, the arts, and mental health, either independently or in collaboration.

· Ability to conduct an inclusive evaluation process, working effectively with a diverse range of adults.

· Awareness of safeguarding practices.

Terms and Conditions

Freelance Fee: An inclusive fee of £8000 (inc. VAT). The fee is inclusive of all expenses related to the successful candidate’s time, travel, data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Hours: The freelancer will allocate the time required to complete and fulfil this agreement. Visits to the programme to be discussed and scheduled with West Kent Mind Wellbeing and Creative Arts Programme Lead. 

Location: The freelancer will work remotely. Scheduled visits within West Kent are required for in session visits.

Job Purpose: To undertake individual sessions and group work with men and women who have been mandated by Courts to attend a Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Programme.  To liaise with the Drive Partnership Triage team, actively contribute to risk management procedures and team working. This role will include working with clients through individual programme delivery as well as group work.

The Domestic Abuse Protection Order (DAPO) is a civil order that was legislated for in the Domestic Abuse Act 2021, the aim of which is to provide longer-term protection to victims of domestic abuse. DAPOs can be applied for in all court jurisdictions by the victim, police or a third party.

DAPOs can impose both prohibitions and positive requirements on perpetrators. Positive requirements can be in the form of interventions aimed at reducing and managing risk, mandated by Court to address issues or needs related to factors that are not the causation of abuse but impact on risk. These could include engaging with Mental Health services, Substance Misuse services or attending a Perpetrator-Focused Domestic Abuse behaviour change programme. 

Our involvement:
As a key local partner TLC: Talk, Listen, Change supported Greater Manchester Police’s application to be part of the pilot and we are now commissioned by the Drive Partnership to enhance our existing locally commissioned voluntary perpetrator behaviour change programmes as part of the DAPO pilot. We are seeking to expand our existing Domestic Abuse Prevention Team to support the pilot. The Home Office are funding a two year pilot which will be tested and evaluated in order to prepare for national roll out in 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

Client work and liaison

• To conduct abuse prevention work with men and women in a way that shows an understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on partners, ex partners and children.
• To facilitate or co-facilitate a structured abuse prevention individual or group work programme for men or women who have been abusive towards an (ex) partner. 
• To liaise with the Drive Partnership Triage team to assess suitability for the abuse prevention programme, based on DAPO pilot requirements and the Domestic Abuse Prevention Programme’s aims and criteria.
• To conduct both individual and group work with clients dependent on need/programme suitability.
• To liaise with other agencies as appropriate.
• To take part in risk review meetings with other Domestic Abuse Prevention workers regarding the progress of perpetrators and issues arising from work with partners, in order to ensure that partners, ex partners and children's safety remains at the forefront of the Domestic Abuse Prevention Programme’s work.
• To implement actions agreed in risk reviews.
• To assist in presentations or workshops about the DAPO* Pilot
• To provide day-to-day support, advice and back-up to other workers and/or volunteers.

Administration 

• To assist with collecting information needed for monitoring purposes.
• To provide assistance in producing statistical and other reports on work done to meet the requirements of funders and the Board of Trustees and co-operating in the on-going evaluation of TLC: Talk Listen Change.
• To maintain appropriate client records, keeping accurate client notes and making use of TLC: Talk, Listen, Change’s case management system. 
• To undertake outcome monitoring and evaluation questionnaires using the Domestic Abuse Prevention Programme service outcomes framework

Other

• To work across multiple delivery sites, main sites to be agreed upon job offer with occasional cover necessary across Greater Manchester. 
• To participate in developing policy, strategies, and working practices of TLC: Talk Listen Change by attending meetings and giving feedback as appropriate to others doing this work.
• To conduct all work in a way that reflects the aims and principles of TLC, Talk Listen Change in particular TLC, Talk Listen Change policies on Equal Opportunities and Confidentiality.
• To keep up to date with domestic abuse issues and participate in relevant training as required.
• To undertake other duties as reasonably requested.

Are you looking for a part time post where you can play a vital role in supporting vulnerable adults in Bristol?

We are looking for people to join us as part time peripatetic Night Workers as part of the Bristol Out of Hours Service (BOOHSI). The service provides out of hours trauma informed support to 5 accommodation services across our mixed and Women’s pathway, aimed at strengthening the existing provision of support to clients with multiple needs and experiencing homelessness.

As an out of hours Night Worker, you will work in pairs alongside another night worker, visiting up to 5 different accommodation services at night. Planning your time well, and taking instruction from day staff and on-call managers you will:

• Provide vital support and assistance to clients at night, be available to listen and deal with people’s individual needs as they arise.
• Develop a good knowledge of relevant protocols and safety precautions so that you can appropriately deal with emergency situations that arise during your shift.
• Carry out relevant building and welfare checks, monitoring issues like noise in the locality and within the building and carrying out relevant administrative tasks and incident reporting.
• Be provided with training and development to ensure you feel confident to carry out your duties and provide high quality services to our clients. 
• Work on the rotating night shift rota. With typical shifts from 7pm – 1am, 4 nights on and 3 nights off. 

*For genuine occupational requirement reasons, we are looking to appoint a female only for this post (exemption under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9).

About you
