About the role:

This is a hybrid role, working from home, the Merton Civic Centre with travel to the Victim Support office in Islington. As the Merton Domestic Abuse Service Manager, you will: -

• Work in partnership with other professionals to ensure that risk management and safeguarding duties are effectively met.
• Develop and maintain effective partnership working with statutory, private and voluntary agencies to address the issue of domestic abuse.
• Represent the service at operational multi-agency meetings, feeding back initiatives and outcomes to the team and contribute to the evaluation of the quality of activities these services offer.
• Provide a single point of proactive and regular contact for a range of professionals involved in the case of the service user.
• Comply with child protection and information sharing policies, ensuring that service users and colleagues understand and comply with the service's safeguarding framework.
• Manage a small case load focusing on high risk survivors of domestic abuse to provide, medium to long term service, based on thorough risk assessment and individual support and safety planning.
• Contribute to regular service reviews which include monitoring data, evaluations, intake and output policy, and practice and work load reviews for the whole service.
• Attend regular contract management meetings with the Merton Commisisoners
• Effectively manage and develop a high quality, innovative and pro-active domestic abuse team.

You will need:

• A passion for working with victim/survivors and a thorough understanding of gender based violence and abuse.
• A thorough understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse and harmful practices and its impact on men, women, children, families, and communities.
• Experience of managing a team delivering front line support to victims or domestic abuse or vulnerable people to a high standard
• A track record of demonstrating and delivering a non-judgemental, anti-racist and anti-discriminatory approach to empowering victim/survivors of domestic abuse

We are recruiting a Therapeutic Practitioner to deliver For Baby’s Sake in the East of England. The post will be home-based with some elements of hybrid working. Applicants need to be located in the local area (Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Essex) and able to travel across the region.

For Baby’s Sake is an innovative, therapeutic, trauma-informed programme. We work with both co-parents individually, supporting a recovery framework to overcome the devastating effects of domestic abuse in their relationship. We acknowledge and explore unresolved and often complex childhood trauma and change harmful patterns of behaviour to develop a home environment where children can flourish. We adopt an attachment-focused parenting approach that enhances the opportunity for children to feel safe and secure with parents who are emotionally available and attuned to all their needs.

There must be a current pregnancy to harness change motivations, a desire on behalf of both parents to co-parent their  unborn baby (although they do not have to be in a relationship) and we can work with the families up until the baby  reaches the age of 2. The significance of this two-year timescale is evidenced in all recent child development research.

You will have the opportunity to support the continued evolution of For Baby’s Sake whilst ensuring fidelity to the programme and sustaining the ethos and values of the For Baby’s Sake Trust.

The For Baby’s Sake multi-disciplinary team consists of highly trained, therapeutic practitioners capable of establishing and maintaining meaningful, trusting relationships that consistently guarantee engagement and crucially provide the framework for the deeper, therapeutic exploration that allows co-parents to understand the impact of their own parenting experiences. To be part of this exceptional team you must have demonstrable therapeutic skills, sound knowledge and experience of safeguarding children and adults, infant mental health, and a thorough understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse, attachment, and the impact of unresolved trauma.

Right now, we’re looking for a self-motivated individual to join us at our Recovery Near You service in Wolverhampton. This is a substance misuse service that works with adults aged 18+ and is run in partnership with Nacro and Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust. Your challenge? To provide advice, support, advocacy and key work for recovery plans and undertake elements of assessment and case management as directed. You’ll work not only from Aquarius offices, but also in primary care, arrest referral, hospital and youth settings and other outreach settings as required. And, all the while, we’ll expect you to operate in a way that recognises and values diversity and understands the functional model of substance misuse, the Recovery Agenda and the problems caused by alcohol and drug misuse.

We have a unique opportunity for a project worker to join the Oasis Community Space as part of our work with refugees and asylum seekers.  This role will create real impact in Scunthorpe by identifying key stakeholders in the support of Asylum Seekers and Refugees and helping them to develop their offer and coordinate the support.

We’re looking for an individual who has a passion for justice and compassion for all to take on this exciting role. You’ll need to be an effective communicator and ready to tackle big issues with drive and initiative. Best of all, you’ll be supported by a thriving team of people who are dedicated to supporting families and young people in Scunthorpe.

The role will involve supporting projects relating to Refugee and Asylum support, primarily at the Oasis Community Space and other Hub venues. To develop a clear understanding of the support and services available for refugees and asylum seekers in the community. To coordinate support to refugees for future independence and self-sufficiency within their new community. The post requires a dynamic and creative approach to help develop and support the Oasis Community Space and the wider Refugee and Asylum provisions.

The successful post holder must have:

· Good standard of basic education, including English and Maths Level 2

· Experience facilitating groups and organizing engaging group activities

· Experience managing and working with volunteers

· Good project management skills, able to balance a range of priorities.

Job purpose

Your role will be specialising in acquisition of Charity of the Year partnerships between the value of £400k - £10m, while also managing a New Partnerships Manager who is responsible for a pipeline of Charity of the Year prospects valued at £150k - £400k. THE ROLE

The Fundraising Manage (Trusts & Foundations) role would suit someone who is looking to work with a high degree of autonomy and who welcomes the chance to be innovative and strategic, whilst being supported to achieve their goals. The role is within our Fundraising & Communications team of four staff and works in collaboration with regional Senior Network Managers. There is an opportunity for the post holder to collaborate with the Partnerships Manager on the development of applications to corporate foundations.

Income generation

• Primary focus of the role is the responsibility for Trusts & Foundations fundraising, to meet annual targets.
• Develop compelling funding propositions and case for support to meet priorities, working closely with colleagues in Fundraising & Communications, Programmes and Monitoring, Research, Evaluation & Learning.
• Maintain an up to date pipeline of prospects through research and excellent record keeping, ensuring that applications are made to meet known deadlines.
• Ensure that all reporting and grant monitoring is delivered in a timely manner, working closely with the MERL Manager and colleagues across Programmes.
• Provide internal management information and reporting to the Head of Fundraising on a quarterly basis, or as required.

Stewardship

• Develop data management processes, ensuring timely impact reporting or other agreed deliverables.
• Ensure all donations and supporters are thanked in a timely and appropriate mode to their giving channel.
• Keep all relevant donor and financial information up-to-date on Salesforce, ensuring adherence to GDPR and other relevant good practice, as defined by the Fundraising Regulator and other sector bodies.
• Work with colleagues in Fundraising & Communications and CEO to deliver appropriate partner recognition including events and other engagement activities.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

You will have at least five years relevant experience, ideally with at least three years working in fundraising and be able to demonstrate previous success in generating income and achieving targets. You will be an exceptional communicator with the confidence to work on your own initiative and to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

You will be well organised with excellent attention to detail, work well under pressure and have the ability to think both strategically and operationally. Experience of working with CRM systems is preferred.

You have a good understanding of the disadvantages faced by both women and those from the least advantaged communities and have a drive to rectify the inequalities that currently exist.

You understand the time and resource limitations of a small charity, and you thrive on the potential to make a real difference with your work

Job Title:  Finance Officer

Bridge for Young People provides a home and support to young people (aged 16-25) who are leaving care or who are homeless. We have three houses in West Berkshire where we provide young people with a stable home, emotional support and practical help as they move into independence.

We are seeking a resilient, organised and self-motivated Finance Officer that has an exceptional eye for detail.  The Finance role is varied and includes a broad range of charity, financial and budgeting responsibilities as well as working with the Support Services Manager in supporting young people in their tenancy sustainment.

Principal Responsibilities

Financial Management and Reporting

• Process all financial transactions within QuickBooks and perform reconciliation of all control accounts and bank accounts monthly
• Carry out bank reconciliations and month end procedures as required
• Record and monitor donations and grants, restricted and unrestricted, ensuring they are error-free
• Prepare and process monthly support invoices
• Process payments, following authorisation, via our Faster Payment’s system
• Ensuring bank protocols and records are up to date concerning authorised signatories
• Provide high quality and effective financial reporting, support and assistance to the CEO and Corporate and Community Fundraiser
• Creating and updating budgets and forecasts for overall operations
• Coordinating the Payroll submission and payments in collaboration with payroll company
• Preparation of Housing Benefit Schedules for new properties
• Monitor and review financial systems and procedures and recommend, devise and implement more effective and efficient procedures
• Highlight financial risks to the CEO and suggest/develop possible mitigations

Tenancy Management

• Act as the primary contact for young people’s questions and concerns on issues such as rent payments and service charge queries

• Track rent and service charge payments to identify any delays or arrears, liaising with young people and the Support Services Manager as necessary
• Manage arrears.  Communicate with young people to remind them of overdue payments using a supportive approach
• Keep the Support Services Manager informed of persistent non-payment by young people, following procedures when necessary.

Technology

• Lead in providing technology recommendations to CEO

Our Digital Welfare Officers provide remote welfare support to RAF personnel and their immediate family, through the use of a variety of communication methods, i.e. Microsoft Teams, webchat, e-mail and social media platforms. Due to the remote working nature of the role, you will have excellent communication skills to identify and assess the service user’s needs and work alongside them to develop their personal support plan.
