The Role
We are seeking a Head of Fundraising and Development to lead our fundraising team and play a key role in our Senior Leadership Team. You will drive our fundraising strategy, securing income to support our ambitious 2022-2027 goals, including expanding mental health services for young women, launching peer-led groups, and increasing awareness through training and research. As demand for our services grows, we aim to double the number of women we support annually, achieved in part through growing our income.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Developing new funder and partner relationships across trusts, foundations, statutory bodies, and corporates.
· Strengthening existing relationships to secure sustainable, multi-year funding.
· Leading fundraising growth, aiming for £1.4m in 2025/26 and £3m by 2027/28.
· Collaborating with the CEO, trustees, and Senior Leadership Team to shape fundraising strategy and operational delivery.
· Leading an passionate team of fundraisers to maximise income generation opportunities

About the role
The post of Governance and Executive Support Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring effective governance and executive support within the Refugee Council. This includes supporting the work of the board of trustees and their engagement, facilitating strategy implementation, event and meeting coordination, managing communications, and delivering exceptional administrative and logistical support for the organization’s CEO and executive team, governance and strategic priorities. This vital position is located at the heart of the organisation and requires both an eye for detail and the ability to grasp the big picture.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Manage governance administration, ensuring compliance with legal requirements
- Oversee the trustee SharePoint site, ensuring it is up-to-date and accessible.
- Provide administrative support for strategic projects, including arranging venues, logistics, catering and ensuring accessibility of materials.

- Maintain a complaint tracker and contribute to quarterly reports.

As a Youth Practitioner, you’ll play a key role in keeping children safe from harm and supporting them and their families on a path to a brighter future. You’ll be part of a dynamic team delivering Railway Children’s programme in the UK, in partnership with British Transport Police (BTP).

Role Overview

Reporting into the Head of HR and with a dotted line into the CEO and Director of External Relations, the Internal Communications Manager is responsible for the development, delivery and management of the college’s communication channels, programmes and campaigns to drive employee engagement and improve overall college performance.
The post holder will lead on developing and executing internal communications strategies, with the support of the HR and the External Relations teams, to ensure that staff within the college are motivated, informed, engaged and able to perform their roles effectively.
The post holder will work with leadership teams across the college to create high-quality, engaging content for various communication channels, including newsletters, intranet sites, emails, handbooks, staff training, and employee recognition programmes.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

PERSON SPECIFICATION
● The postholder will possess highly effective and engaging communication skills. They should excel in written, verbal and presentation skills. Previous experience of working with digital channel communication tools is essential.
● The postholder will have a proven track record of working on internal communication campaigns , creating and deploying employee communication and engagement channels. They will be familiar with utilising the full range of media ( digital/social/face-to-face), with measurable impact and return on investment.

MAIN PURPOSE OF POST
