As Head of IT, you will lead the strategic planning for the function, playing a pivotal role in shaping the technological landscape of the RCR, leading on all technology related matters across the RCR with responsibility for ensuring our IT offer remains current, efficient and effective to support our mission and strategic objectives. You will also lead and motivate our reputable high-performing IT team, managing operations to ensure excellent IT service support to the organisation is a constant.
What you will do:
- Lead the strategic development of the IT function.

About the role
The Advocacy & Media Manager reports to the Co-Director of Advocacy and is responsible for leading STOPAIDS' advocacy on Global Health Institutions and the HIV Response, with a particular focus on resource mobilisation for the HIV response and the role of the UK government. They are also responsible for overseeing the development and execution of STOPAIDS' organisation-wide media strategy.

The Qualifications Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that our qualifications will give fundraisers professional recognition, increased insight, and improved job prospects.
Job Purpose
- Supporting the Director of Operations and working alongside the Professional Development Manager, you will have responsibility for the management of all the Chartered Institute’s existing qualifications.
- You will be responsible for the academic integrity of qualification-related learning products, including responsibility for the assessment and external verification processes.
- You will also be responsible for project managing the rewrite of our Level 4 Certificate and Level 5 Diploma qualifications through a team of experienced tutors.
- You will scope the opportunity to deliver a Level 3 and Level 6 qualification for future release, offering modular options for students.
- In addition, you will contribute to our journey to achieving awarding status from Ofqual and work with the Executive Director of Change on the final stage of our chartered status, achieving the power to award Individual chartered status for fundraisers.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide support to potential, current, and future students including advising on suitable courses and qualifications, assessment, and options for their career path.
- Maintain excellent relationships with the Chief Examiner, External Examiner, and qualification tutors in relation to assignments or examinations.
- Attend the annual Exam Board (and qualification faculty training days) supporting the administration as appropriate.
- Be the key point of contact with external partners for the delivery of apprenticeships including Registered Training Providers, the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), Ofqual, and the Institute for Apprenticeships.
- Lead on the co-ordination of other continuing professional development activities ensuring alignment with Individual Membership grades.
- Coordinate the assessment and examination processes for all CIOF qualifications.
- Management of all qualification procedures including scheduling, moderation, internal verification, submissions, record keeping, tutor allocation, resubmissions, extensions, appeals, and withdrawals.
- Work with the Professional Development Manager to review the content of our qualifications, online learning, and short courses, ensuring that course materials and all documentation are updated as appropriate.
- In collaboration with the Membership Services Manager and Professional Development Manager, actively seek ways to improve, develop and maintain processes to ensure smooth and efficient procedures relating to professional development activities including but not exclusively to Short Courses, Qualifications, and other learning programmes, e.g. Future Leaders Programme.
- Provide day-to-day support and advice to students and the faculty.
- Provide consistent and effective communications regarding professional development products to key stakeholders.
- Development, management, and monitoring of the Professional Development budget.
- Support the working relationship with the CIOF Learning and Development Committee, and the European Fundraising Association.
- Cross-departmental interaction to ensure qualifications are promoted effectively across multiple channels, ensuring the Membership Services Hub are fully engaged with our products, including cross-promoting our CPD policy and the competence framework to members.
- Liaising with third-party technology suppliers to troubleshoot issues where necessary.
- Co-ordinate effective evaluation, monitoring, and reporting of all courses across the academy; including but not exclusively, to CIOF Qualifications.
- Work with the wider team to ensure approved tutors, trainers, and regional trainers are delivering content of the highest quality.
- Utilise feedback across all CIOF learning products and services to support continuous quality improvements.
- Ensure accurate input of relevant data (notes, actions, agreed plans with members and customers) into the CRM.

We are recruiting for a Chief Operating Officer to join the organisation on a 14-month fixed term contract (maternity cover) to start in early 2025. The charity operates as a fully remote working organisation however there will be some UK travel required as part of the role.
The Chief Operating Officer is the most senior staff role within the organisation, responsible for the day to day running of the charity and, in close coordination with the co-founders, delivering the organisation’s strategy. Chapter One is a growing charity dedicated to ensuring every child has access to one-to-one reading support at the time they need it most.

The WRC is one of the world’s leading corporate accountability organizations. We support garment workers and their unions around the world who are fighting to end labor rights abuses and win better wages and conditions in the supply chains of major global brands. The WRC conducts investigations in factories in more than two dozen countries, documents and exposes labor rights violations, and pressures corporations to deliver concrete remedies to workers. Senior Director of Development and Strategic Partnerships
The Senior Director of Development and Strategic Partnerships will lead fundraising, outreach, and engagement for the WRC at the level of both strategy and implementation. The WRC’s current annual budget is US$3.3 million, and we seek to grow this in line with our program strategy to roughly $5–6 million over the next two to three years.
Areas of responsibility include:
- Designing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to progressively increase annual revenue, including identifying, building relationships with, and securing new funding from foundations, other institutional funders, and individuals, as well as pursuing opportunities to expand relationships with current funders;
- Creating and implementing a framework for strategic external partnership communications, including working with the WRC’s global field team to convey the real-world impact of the WRC’s work and overseeing relevant enhancements to the WRC’s website and other communications pathways;
- Leading on grant writing and framing of external communications;
- Supporting the Executive Director and other colleagues to engage with, and ensure coherent messaging to, donors and other partners—including ensuring that the WRC participates in relevant conferences, convenings, and other discussions related to our organizational mission and objectives;
- Supervising the work of a second development professional who has day-to-day responsibility for grant management, grant reporting, implementation of sub-grantee/grantor arrangements, management of the organization’s small individual donor program, and who also assists with preparation of grant proposals;
- Monitoring progress on grant-funded projects through regular communication with program staff;
- Participating in the development of overall organizational strategy and aligning fundraising strategies accordingly; and
- Contributing to financial reporting and oversight.
This is a full-time position, available immediately. The position is hybrid for a successful candidate who resides in the Washington, DC-area or remote in the case of a candidate who resides elsewhere.
The WRC will consider candidates located within six hours of the US Eastern time zone. For international candidates and US candidates based outside of Washington, DC, the position requires periodic travel to Washington, DC, and possibly other countries in which the WRC works. The Senior Director of Development and Strategic Partnerships will report to the WRC’s Executive Director.
Qualifications
Candidates must have:
- A minimum of seven years’ experience in fundraising for nonprofit organizations and/or seven years’ combined experience with fundraising and strategic communications;
- A substantial track record of successfully cultivating institutional donors and proven experience in establishing new fundraising partnerships;
- Significant experience in communications and storytelling, with an ability to distill complex analysis and program work into communications that inspire and motivate our audiences;
- Exceptional written and oral communications skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to initiate, build, and maintain working relationships with existing and potential grantors and a global team across numerous time zones;
- Strong budget management skills and experience delivering against financial targets;
- Excellent organizational and project management skills and rigorous attention to detail;
- Energy, enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, and a sense of humor; and
- A commitment to workers’ rights and corporate accountability.
The following are desirable but not required:
- Experience with labor rights work; and
- Experience working in an international context.
Compensation
Compensation for this position is $115,000–$135,000 per year, depending on relevant experience (adjusted to the local currency, where applicable). The WRC provides its US staff, who are covered by a union contract, with an excellent benefits package, including 100% employer-paid family health insurance, including dental and vision care, with an additional flexible spending plan with employer contribution; 401(k) retirement plan with employer contribution; and five weeks paid vacation.

Job Description
The Head of Finance is a core member of the organisation's structure and is a strategic partner to the CEO in all areas of finance. Responsibilities will include:
1. Job Purpose
- The role reports to the Chief Executive Officer, and comes with membership of the Executive Committee.
- The HoF is responsible for all financial control, reporting, statutory compliance and forecasting.
2. Manage the following functions including those that are outsourced providers (external accountants and managed service partner):

- An annualised budget and medium- and long-term forecast for agreement with the board including the charging model for customers.
- Monthly management accounts and variance analysis from budget including potential cash flow issue.

- CEO
- Board
- Cost-centre managers.
- External and where appropriate Internal Audit.
- Audit and Risk Committee
- 3rd parties including bookkeeping.

- Fully Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, ICAEW etc)

About the Council
The role of Council is to lead on the GOC’s mission to protect the public by upholding high standards in the optical professions. The Council is composed of six lay members (including the Chair) and six registrant members (i.e. registered optometrists and dispensing opticians). At least one member of the Council must work wholly or mainly in each of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. One Council member acts as a Senior Council Member whose role is to carry out the Chair’s appraisal as well as provide a sounding board for the Chair and serve as an intermediary for Council members, Executive and stakeholders as necessary.
The successful candidate will contribute to Council by exercising oversight, ensuring effective corporate governance, and making high-level policy decisions. They will be able to operate strategically and impartially; listen, communicate, and influence effectively; exercise judgment; and inspire confidence and support amongst our stakeholders.
Remuneration and time commitment
Council members are remunerated in accordance with our member fees policy (£13,962 per annum plus reasonable travel and subsistence expenses) which is linked in the candidate pack. The member fee includes time for reading and preparation.
The appointed member will be expected to commit approximately 2-3 days per month. Meetings will usually take place via MS Teams but may on occasion be held at the GOC Offices at 10 Old Bailey, London, EC4M 7NG. 1. Financial Management
