As Director of Impact, Digital & Data, you will work with colleagues at all levels and with our Board, leading on data maturity, providing insights, fostering a culture of innovation through our theory of change and influencing strategic decision making to ensure we deliver the greatest impact. About You
We are looking for experienced leaders with deep knowledge and expertise in the areas of digital innovation (including the adoption of AI), data & insights and strategy development. We are not necessarily looking for someone with direct experience across all these areas, and while knowledge of issues relating to financial insecurity is useful, we are also not looking for someone with a particular CV or sector background. We know that Turn2us will benefit from leaders with new perspectives and ways of thinking, so we’re actively encouraging broad interest from impactful leaders who bring transferable skills from a wide range of backgrounds. But an ability and curiosity to learn is key, as is the confidence to acknowledge the things that you don’t know.
This role requires persuasive leadership and exceptional relationship building skills within a matrix environment, and so a good level of emotional intelligence is important. You will be at your most comfortable working collaboratively and selflessly as part of a Leadership Team and able to embed yourself and your team across an organisation’s work in a way that is viewed as supportive and constructive rather than over stepping.

The Service Manager will oversee the delivery of tailored support services for those experiencing homelessness in County Durham.
You will ensure effective management of community homes and dispersed properties, supports companions’ welfare and development, which maintains compliance with safeguarding, contractual, and Health & Safety standards.
The role includes leading a dedicated staff team, developing person-centred pathways, and supporting community reintegration, making a significant impact within a growing, values-driven charity. The post holder will work closely with the implementation and project team at Emmaus North East and colleagues at Durham County Council and other partners to ensure those experiencing homelessness receive the highest quality support.

The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us in the position of Energy Adviser, to work on either a full or part time basis. Job share applications are also welcome. NEA’s Energy Advisers are empathetic, polite and have good listening skills but are also knowledgeable, assertive, and confident. Their main role is to provide one to one advice to clients referred through the charity’s Warm and Safe Homes helpline and to deliver energy advice presentations to groups. They also get involved in a range of tasks to support these activities. Energy Advisers sit within the Communities Directorate and are part of a dynamic and caring team of professionals who go the extra mile to support their clients, some of whom may be in difficult circumstances.

What you will need to succeed
Working within our Communities Directorate you will have demonstrable experience of delivering Energy Advice and helping others. Therefore, it is vital that you have empathy, confidence and knowledge of the issues facing vulnerable low-income households.
You will have knowledge and understanding of the environmental, social and economic problems of deprived areas and the roles of the public, private and voluntary sectors in tackling them.
You will also have knowledge of assistance available for energy efficiency improvements to low-income households.
You will be an excellent communicator, with proven experience and understanding of how to effectively address the energy needs of low income, vulnerable or disadvantaged householders – with the desire to make a positive difference to people’s lives.
The successful candidate will operate within Yorkshire and the Humber, East Midlands or Eastern region of England. Home working and office-based locations are available depending on your proximity to a NEA office. Preferences will be discussed with candidates at interview. Hybrid working is subject to necessary H&S and GDPR checks. Post holders must be resident within the UK and be able to provide their Right to Work in the UK.
We are offering:
- £28,163 – £33,205 (FTE) – Scale 5-6, Points 12-22 (plus £3,300 London Weighting if applicable). New appointments are usually made at the starting point of the scale.
- 11½% non-contributory pension.
- 25 days annual leave plus 3 additional days in between Christmas New Year Period when our offices close; plus, all public holidays per annum for full time staff, pro-rata for part time staff.

THE ROLE: The Director is responsible for the overall running of Maa Shanti. THE COMPANY: Maa Shanti supports South Asian mothers who are impacted by domestic abuse. Our aim is to reduce isolation, and increase confidence, knowledge and skills for our services users. We do this by improving access to activities, education and employment and through the provision of advocacy and support (both in person and remotely). We run a busy programme of events, workshops and events which includes e.g. yoga, mindfulness, cooking, vocabulary groups, arts and crafts, excursions and children’s activities during school holidays. The charity was founded in Islington as a grassroots

The policy and engagement officer will play an integral role in engaging with charities and other organisations across the substance misuse field to support Collective Voice to influence decision-makers to improve England’s drug and alcohol treatment and recovery system and to champion the role of charities in delivering it.
Collective Voice is the national alliance of voluntary sector drug and alcohol treatment and recovery services. We advocate for a system that reduces harm and nurtures recovery and the vital role of charities in delivering this.
In a typical week you might draft a response to a government consultation on national policy, support a meeting to convene and collate the views of the field on a key issue, write our weekly e-bulletin to engage and inform stakeholders, brief the Director on a policy issue before they meet officials in Whitehall, take minutes at a board meeting, or write a blog analysing and explaining policy developments.
Forming a team of just two with the Director, the post holder will work closely with the Director across all functions of the organisation. This represents, therefore, a significant opportunity for professional development.
Key responsibilities
1. Advocating for treatment and recovery (40%)
• Support Collective Voice to develop authentic, empowering and influential public positions on policy and campaigning issues
•Research and draft high quality influencing materials, including formal policy submissions, briefings, blogs and articles
• Develop expert knowledge in specific areas relevant to CV’s strategy and make recommendations for proactive and reactive responses
• Represent Collective Voice at external meetings and events, including some public speaking
• Develop relationships with relevant stakeholders in national and local government, policy and advocacy charities and beyond
2. Building the field (35%)
• Work with the Director to build our work to convene the field, currently through Collective Voice’s groups and events (online and in person) including providing administration and chairing where appropriate.
• Engage and convene organisations across the field and wider partners to gather intelligence, good practice and canvas opinion to inform policy positions
• Manage a range of projects, setting and meeting own deadlines and managing simple budgets where needed
• Coordinate Collective Voice’s social media, weekly e-bulletin and blogs to engage and inform the field and support delivery of our strategy
3. Strengthening our Collective Voice (20%)
• Contribute to the strategic and organisational development of Collective Voice, working alongside the Director
• Support governance by organising board meetings, writing minutes and papers and communicating with trustees
• Be a proud ambassador for the organisation and the wider sector at all times • Manage contractors and/or junior staff where appropriate
• Work flexibly and pragmatically within the constraints of a small organisation with a high profile
• Provide general administrative support appropriate to a charity of this size
4.Developing self and values (5%)
Proactively pursue formal and informal learning opportunities and create own development plan
• Actively participate in line-management and appraisal processes

Job Purpose:

• To deliver a positive and enduring image of SLS GB internally and externally in order to maximise income and maintain its strong image amongst its communities.

Personal specification
• An inspirational and decisive leader, ideally with experience gained in the charity/non-profit sector and/or in membership or volunteer focused organisations.
• Track record of leading cohesive teams, including experience of engaging a volunteer network as well as managing a staff team.
• Experience of working with a Board with an elected membership element and respectful of the different dynamic this creates.
• Proven financial management and governance experience.
• Experience of building high level organisational partnerships, optimising existing income streams, and developing additional revenue sources.
• Experience within project management.
