You’ll be responsible for communication with members from both the Chairs and Executive CFF groups to coordinate meetings, ad-hoc training, and networking events. You will keep the intranet hub content rich and the website up to date to nurture the membership community.

About you

Purpose of the role

The Corporate Partnerships Manager will play a vital role in developing Adoption UK’s new corporate income strategy. The right candidate will have a proven track record of developing new partnerships and stewarding accounts to maximum potential. Going above and beyond to ensure that our corporate partners feel valued and connected to our cause, you'll use your creativity and networking skills to identify future growth opportunities that match the mission and priorities of Adoption UK.

The successful post-holder will manage the entire partnership life-cycle from contract and grant acceptance to delivery, ensuring that KPIs are met, income is accurately recorded, and that all activities comply with the Fundraising Regulator guidelines, GDPR, VAT and other legal requirements.

Must haves:

Main duties & Responsibilities

Securing New Corporate Partnership Business

·To support in the creation of a new corporate fundraising strategy and subsequently implement this

·Develop resources, pitch decks and communications to attract new partnerships

·Identify, research and approach a pipeline of potential corporate partners, including those with existing links to employees, volunteers, trustees and members.

·Confidently pitch and write proposals to potential corporate partners, tailoring style and approach according to their Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) priorities

·Research and attend networking events and activities to support new income opportunities

Corporate Partnership Account Management

·Account-manage a portfolio of corporate partnerships, e.g. charity of the year, company sponsorship, staff fundraising, etc, ensuring mutually agreed partnership journeys are clearly planned and well executed

·Provide excellent stewardship of all current relationships including marketing and fundraising initiatives throughout the year

·Work closely with the Marketing lead to create innovative marketing plans for corporate partners to demonstrate Return on Investment

·Produce reports and presentations including activities and reach to convey the impact of partnerships

 Working with the wider team to deliver income targets

·Work closely and collaboratively with the wider Income Generation and Support teams to deliver professional and on brand communications to partners

·Share expertise and knowledge with wider team and colleagues in different nations to support wider UK corporate fundraising asks

Location and travel

Women and Girls Network (WGN) was established in 1987 and has spent over 30 years supporting women and girls across London affected by gendered violence. This includes childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence, rape, prostitution (including trafficking and sexual exploitation), female genital mutilation (FGM), and so-called ‘honour’ based crimes such as forced marriage.

Our goal is to promote, preserve, and restore the mental health and wellbeing of women and girls, to empower them to make a total and sustainable recovery from the experiences of violence. About the role

Reporting into the Financial Controller, the Finance Business Partner works closely with stakeholders across the organisation, including Executive Leadership, with a specific focus on working closely with the project leads for all our funded services. The Finance and Operations Officer will provide general support to the Head of Finance and Operations across the following areas: 

Office Management

• Managing day-to-day relationship with landlord

• Ensuring office meets all health & safety requirements

• Managing purchases of stationery and office equipment

• Supporting with new office search and move to new premises

Human Resources

Governance

• Organising Trustee meetings 

• Attending and taking notes at specific meetings (e.g. Trustee, Advisory Board, team away days)

• Updating the Charity Commission for changes in Trustees and submission of annual returns 

• Ensuring all policy documents are up to date and reviewed within the correct time frame 

Finance

• Processing invoices and expenses and coordinating twice monthly payment runs

• Reconciliation of the monthly corporate card bills

• Keeping the fixed asset register up-to-date

• Bank account administration 

• Collation of information for the auditors

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following skills and experiences: 

Essential

• Reliable, trustworthy and discreet

• Excellent organisational skills

• Confident user of Microsoft or Google packages, in particular excel spreadsheets or google sheets, Word or google docs

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Good numeracy skills 

Desirable

• Previous experience as personal assistant or office manager

Terms and Conditions

• Location: Money and Mental Health’s central London office for at least 2 days per week with option for home working the rest of the time. The office is wheelchair accessible.

• Hours: 3 to 4 days (22.5 to 30 hours) a week. The charity has a flexible working policy with core hours of 10am - 3pm and remaining contracted hours distributed throughout the week flexibly. We are open to discussing other flexible arrangements, such as accommodating school runs.

Benefits

• Holidays: 28 days p.a. (including 3 days of annual leave between Christmas and New Year when the office is closed) plus bank holidays, adjusted for the part-time nature of this post and therefore calculated on a pro rata basis.

About the role

• Manage Gift Aid processing and HMRC returns.

• Manage all annual insurances and stakeholder pension scheme.

• Line-manage a part-time bookkeeper who oversees the purchase and sales ledger functions, bank payments and reconciliations, processing credit card and expense transactions, donation platform reconciliations and pension auto enrolment compliance.

• Provide ad hoc financial information to the CEO, SMT and Board as required.

• Be an active lead in the financial management of the company providing reports to the SMT, Board and funders

• Lead on providing insight into the financial aspects of the organisation’s activities.

We are seeking a Project Research Officer to join our small team to work on a new project, which examines the use of data and powers by HMRC in addressing offshore tax compliance.

HOURS: Part time, 2 days per week (15hrs). A flexible working policy is offered, with core working hours of 1000hrs-1500hrs.

CONTRACT: 24 month fixed term contract, subject to successfully completing a three month probationary period.

LOCATION: Remote, with periodic in-person team meetings (quarterly).

BENEFITS: 24 days paid annual leave per year pro rated, plus eight Bank Holidays. A contribution of up to £175pcm towards a co-working desk.

WHO ARE WE: TaxWatch is the UK’s only charity dedicated to compliance and sound administration of the law in the field of taxation. We are an investigative think tank which conducts forensic research and analysis on tax compliance, tax policy, and tax law, publishing our research to improve public understanding of these issues. We are independent of any political party.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working with the Director and existing Research Analyst to conduct a research project examining the ways in which HMRC addresses offshore compliance, with a focus on its use of information and existing enforcement powers, identifying areas where compliance could be improved.

Develop and undertake the research project within specified timescales, from inception to delivery, in collaboration with the wider TaxWatch team, driving the project forward, providing updates on progress the Director and Trustees. This will involve:

· Identifying key stakeholders relevant to the project, developing and building relationships, conducting interviews, gaining insight from their knowledge and experiences and identifying areas for further investigation.

· Requesting and analysing information from HMRC.

· Analysing both qualitative and quantitative data to identify key findings and making policy and procedural recommendations based on the findings.

· Producing high quality written work, including long form written reports based on the research undertaken.

· Liaising with other organisations, journalists, politicians and government bodies to publicise the findings of the report.

· A limited amount of administrative tasks that support the running of the project including documentation of research findings and tracking Freedom of Information requests on team systems.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

ESSENTIAL:

· Critical thinking and a curious mindset, particularly seeking out and analysing data, from both qualitative and quantitative sources.

· Strong writing capability. TaxWatch is an organisation that places a high priority on concise and effective written style. Research must be clear, accurate and to the point.

· Ability to work remotely while working co-operatively with wider team. Organised and logical in approach.

· Self motivated. Able to successfully manage own time, work, and hit deadlines.

· Comfortable with statistics, and explaining complex issues to non-specialist audiences.

· Confident communicator and able to express their thoughts clearly, representing TaxWatch credibly to external stakeholders.

DESIRABLE

· A good understanding of offshore tax compliance and how HMRC currently addresses it.

· Knowledge of the current legislation pertaining to the taxation of offshore income and gains, and the enforcement powers held by HMRC.

· Recent employment or work experience in HMRC with either Fraud Investigation Service (FIS) or Risk & Intelligence Service (RIS).
