What's the Role?
The Senior Management Accountant will be reporting into the Head of Finance, your main responsibilities would be:
- Lead and manage a team of management accountants, providing guidance, support, and motivation.
- Act as the first line reviewer for the work produced by the management accounting team; such as monthly management accounts, budget builds, costing schedules
- Oversee the timely completion of all management accounting tasks and projects, such as pack to Trustees
- Serve as the main point of contact between the management accounting team and the Head of Finance and in conjunction with the regional directors' matrix.
What do you need to succeed?
- A full accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in management accounting, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

About this key role
Our successful candidate will provide person-centred support to a caseload of service users who will either be serving community sentences or being released from prison. This will involve undertaking assessment and action planning with individual service users which will result in timely and prescribed outcomes being achieved, and creating a safe and trusting environment, using trauma informed practice to successfully facilitate a supportive and constructive relationship with service users. You will deliver a range of interventions to service users, including group work sessions where required, and work with service users flexibly, meeting and undertaking interventions in a range of prescribed locations across a wide geographical area.
We will also rely on you to develop and maintain positive working relationships with external agencies including Probation, Prisons and partners, and work towards contractual targets and outcomes within agreed timescales and in line with specified quality standards. Using agreed CRM databases, recording all activity relating to caseload and ensuring all information is recorded within agreed deadlines are all also vital aspects of the role.
What we are looking for
- Experience in working with partner agencies either as part of a multi-agency team working towards common objectives or negotiating to establish links to further the aims of a project
- L3 qualification in Advice and Guidance or equivalent
- A sound knowledge of the requirements of managing a caseload
- An understanding of the barriers faced by people with complex and multiple needs
- The ability to assess clients’ needs and provide tailored, client-led support through action planning and interventions involving advice, guidance, advocacy, and coaching

We are seeking 2 Specialist ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Advisor) to join our Advocacy team at Respond. The role includes providing pro-active emotional, practical and advocacy support for adults with learning disabilities and autistic people with complex or multiple needs who have experienced any form of sexual violence and are engaging, (or considering engaging) with the criminal justice system. The ISVA will work across London to provide non-judgmental, trauma-informed emotional support, working in partnership with other London sexual violence support services.
Our ideal candidate will have a friendly and relational approach to working with clients. You will have the ability to build trusting relationships, work in an empowering and inclusive way and support clients to heal following sexual abuse and develop coping capacity. You will be a self-motivated individual who will engage with a wider range of people who have experience sexual violence, and other barriers to justice.

About the Role:
As Victim Awareness Officer, you will be responsible for planning and delivering training and awareness raising activities in relation to victims of crime. The role will work closely and collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley, Thames Valley Police, criminal justice agencies as well as other statutory agencies and third sector organisations across the Thames Valley.
You will lead on developing this new content for training as well as consulting with stakeholders on their training needs and mapping emerging areas where further input is required. As part of the role, you will be responsible for developing this range of training programmes and keeping training materials up to date. You will maximise the use of social media accounts for training, victim awareness and awareness of specific crime types including Sexual Violence and Modern Day Slavery. You will attend events and presentations to engage the local community and increase their knowledge on support for victims of crime. To assist delivery of your role you will recruit and support a cohort of trained volunteers to perform the roles of Criminal Justice Champions and Engagement Champions volunteers.
You will need to be able to work flexibly to accommodate the training requirements as well as experience of delivering presentations and structured training programmes and talks to a range of audiences. You will need to be IT literate and be effective with your communication.

Person Specification
- Business development experience, in an international organisation

Our General Manager is going on an extended leave, so we are looking for someone who can lead the team, continue our fundraising efforts and generally hold the fort for six months.

The Royal Society of Literature (RSL) is one of the oldest learned societies in the UK, and Britain’s charity for the advancement of literature. The RSL acts as a voice for the value of literature, works to engage the public in literature, and honours and encourages writers at all stages of their careers. In our public events, awards and prizes for writers at all stages in their careers, and engagement programmes with young people and in prisons, the RSL demonstrates the ways in which literature shapes society, and that it can change an individual life.
Position: Digital Officer
Responsible to: Head of Communications and Partnerships
Location: Hybrid working, with three days per week in our office at Somerset House in London. Occasional evening and weekend working required for RSL events, with time-off-in-lieu available
Hours: Permanent, full-time, 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm. Some flexibility of hours may be negotiated after the Probationary Period (six months)
Salary: £28,000 per annum

Reporting to the Head of Communications, your work will contribute to the RSL’s communications and audience development.
Following recent updates to the RSL's websites and branding, this is an exciting time to join our team and help to diversify the RSL’s growing programme of work, led by principles of experimentation, inclusivity and accessibility.
As well as sharing vital aspects of our work with the public and partners, you will bring a sense of fun to our social media channels, feeling confident to inject personality into developing the tone and voice of the organisation.
This is a busy, varied, fun and rewarding role, where you’ll get to work independently while being supported by the rest of the team.
Key tasks:
CONTENT CREATION AND DELIVERY - we want you to create exciting and engaging content
- Run the RSL’s social media accounts, engaging with our audiences to increase reach, interaction and awareness
- Create engaging content (images, video, gifs etc) to broaden reach of RSL’s activities across existing and new social media channels
- Lead the RSL’s direct digital marketing to Members, Fellows and subscribers, growing audiences and ensuring GDPR compliance
- Work with the RSL Programmes Officers to edit and upload audio and video from RSL activities to RSL platforms
- Publicise RSL activities with input from colleagues, from advertising to promotions and merchandise, identifying key audiences for the RSL’s wide-ranging initiatives and new ways to engage them.
DIGITAL SYSTEMS - we want you to be experienced in content creation and delivery
- Working with the Head of Communications to update the website. Maintaining and developing the RSL’s online presence through the website to ensure this represents all aspects of the organisation’s work and is accessible
- Ensure the smooth running of the RSL’s online events booking system along with the Heads of Operations and Programmes.
MONITORING AND EVALUATION - we want you to be confident capturing and analysing data
- Analyse data to measure the success of campaigns, create reports and build future communications around results
- Provide relevant audience insight and analysis reporting to the team to inform programming decisions and to measure performance.

- you have experience in a similar role within an arts or culture context or equivalent, confidently communicating – in person and in writing – with a wide range of stakeholders in a professional, upbeat manner
- you have experience of creating dynamic content for a diverse range of audiences across multiple digital channels
- you have competency in working with Microsoft Office Suite and across social media platforms
- you are able to win support from a wide range of people and collaborate closely with colleagues across programmes
- you are independent and highly organised in managing a complex workload and meeting numerous deadlines
- you are able to evaluate data on audience growth, and report to others in order to inform decision-making and improve engagement
- you have a strong understanding of brand and tone of voice
- you are enthusiastic about the work of the RSL
