Emmaus Oxford is looking for a Charity retail Deputy Store Manager to join our retail management team running our large charity superstore in Cowley Oxford. Emmaus provides housing support and meaning occupation in our social enterprise to up to 28 ex-homeless men and women [known in Emmaus as Companions].  As well as providing retail management the role also involves coaching and training companions and working closely with our team of Progression Workers and Learning & Development Manager. Emmaus collects donations of furniture and household goods from across Oxfordshire and these are sold in our superstore in Cowley and through our online sales business. Proceeds from sales make a major contribution towards our housing & support service. The role is Fulltime [37.5 hr per week] will involve some weekend working and key holding responsibility. It’s a great opportunity to join a growing charity, in a rewarding role, working directly with the charity’s beneficiaries. Your work will directly help ex-homeless men and women, local people on low incomes and help create a better environment through recycling and reuse. 

This role is key to the delivery of our pro-active and preventative approach to supporting the safety and welfare of seafarers, as adopted in The Seafarers’ Charity’s ‘Thrive’ Strategy.

The postholder will identify emerging issues impacting seafarers and work with our funded delivery partners, and other key stakeholders, to develop advocacy, campaigning, research projects and programmes of work which inform grant funded solutions to improve the safety and welfare of people who work at sea. They will also support programme management and actively liase with stakeholders, volunteers and others interested in engaging with The Seafarers’ Charity on innovative solutions to known and emerging welfare problems faced by seafarers and their families.

The is a critical role in the organisation to ensure that philanthropic income is implemented in line with donor expectations and ensuring any obligations are stipulated in gift and grant agreements. The Philanthropy Implementation Manager will play an active role in developing and delivering gift implementation improvement projects, acting as a pivotal person between fundraising and finance teams across the organisation. The role is key to ensure that fundraisers are securing gifts in line with departmental policies. The role will also have a particular focus on programme management, ensuring that gifts are advertised and implemented.

The successful postholder will quickly build strategic relationships with key internal stakeholders that will support the work of Fundraising and Supporter Development team, supporting fundraisers working in Major Gifts, whilst not directly involved in the work, you will be able to provide advice and guidance to staff working within these income streams, as well as work with the Business Support Officer to support the management of securing philanthropic gifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with fundraisers and colleagues in the Supporter Operations and Donor Relations teams, to ensure that philanthropic gifts are correctly implemented in line with the donor's expectations and the terms of their gift agreements.
• Work with key internal stakeholders to ensure the funding is used correctly and pledge payments are fulfilled.
• Design complex gift implementation strategies.
• Develop and monitor systems that ensure fundraiser compliance with policies and procedures relating to the implementation of donations. This will also include supporting the Philanthropy Team in monitoring gifts in stewardship, highlighting any gifts requiring re-solicitation.
• Use relationship management techniques to ensure that the relevant stakeholders are notified of any changes or delays to gift implementation. For example, capital builds, recruitment of key posts, progress in research projects.
• Support the Philanthropy Team and wider Directorate in managing business processes, developing processes, and review of key gift documentation, that will support future implementation of philanthropic donations.

You will bring:

The Communications & Community Coordinator will join a small and fast-paced team that is developing a new place-based giving scheme in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. As the Finance Officer - Income clerk, you will be the main protagonist for our income processes with regards to the finance function. You will ensure that various sources of income are reflected in a timely and accurate manner on our finance system, which works with our CRM system.

This role requires a high level of reconciling various sources of income, system data, bank receipts as well as accounts and funds on the system. You will need to investigate irregularities and work closely with various teams within the organisation (although mainly finance and fundraising) but also speak to people externally.

We are looking for a well-organised and caring professional with excellent administration skills to support our Healthcare Coordinator in overseeing the medication and healthcare needs of our male residents as they progress through their recovery from drug or alcohol abuse.

The role involves both administrative and practical tasks, as well as direct involvement in helping residents manage their own healthcare needs alongside supporting their wider recovery and spiritual growth.

You will maintain safe Medication Management within Yeldall Manor, ensuring that all medication including new supplies, is correctly administered, recorded accurately, and regularly audited, investigating and resolving any discrepancies. With the Healthcare Coordinator, you will assist the residents in accessing GP and specialist services, and ensuring that up to date electronic records are maintained of all healthcare matters for residents.

You will have excellent administrative and IT skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with medical professionals, along with a commitment to providing high-quality and compassionate care and support. Medical knowledge may be advantageous, but is not a necessity for this role.

Even more alarming is that figure represents an increase of 58% from six years ago. Youth homelessness costs the UK economy an estimated £8.5bn, largely due to unemployment, and so the challenge can feel huge. But we already have the resources to solve it within the built environment sector. And that is where LandAid comes in.

Key Responsibilities

- The purpose of this role is to lead the charities Lotteries and Raffles team which has the goal of generating and inspiring support from both new and existing supporters. This person will advance existing products and campaigns towards their full potential as well as develop new campaigns and activity that drive growth, retention and engagement. In doing so, they will act as a key support to the Executive Director of Individual Giving and Lotteries in ensuring that the department achieves its income generation goals.
- Develop a clear vision and strategy to deliver sustainable income growth within the prize led fundraising channel.
- Drive and oversee all day-to-day activity around lotteries and raffles, ensuring campaigns are effectively coordinated and that broader teams are enabled to support delivery.
- Proactively find ways to increase the impact of the Lottery and Raffle income streams by developing and testing new approaches to player recruitment, retention and engagement.
- Supported by the Executive Director of Individual Giving and Lotteries ensure compliance of the KSS lottery activities against the charities Gambling Commission license conditions
- Ensure that the operations of the entire income stream, including those delivered by external parties, adhere to guidance and legislation set out by associated regulatory bodies. This includes but is not limited to the Gambling Commission, Charity Commission, Fundraising Regulator and Chartered Institute of Fundraising best practice guidelines.

Head of Lotteries and Raffles
The role of Head of Lotteries and Raffles is part of the management team within the Individual Giving and Lotteries directorate. This directorate plays a crucial role in fostering strong relationships with our supporters and generating sustainable income for KSS. Our Lotteries have a combined income of £9 million per year, and the Head of Lotteries and Raffles will be responsible for ensuring the consistent growth of these lotteries, and to ensure that we provide engaging and safe fundraising avenue for our supporters.

Emmaus Greenwich is a unique charity that offers a home, work and individual support to people who have experienced homelessness and social exclusion. We don’t just give people a bed for the night; we offer a home, work opportunities and a sense of belonging.

We are looking for a compassionate, highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to provide tailored person-centred support to a caseload of formerly homeless individuals known as “Companions” especially to those who are struggling with substance misuse. Attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to identify and promptly address risks or safeguarding concerns. Empathy, attentive listening, and strong verbal communication skills are also key requirements. 

The successful candidate will understand that many people with experience of homelessness can also be trying to navigate other complex needs. The purpose of the Project worker is to provide a person-centred support to a caseload of Companions in particular to those who are experiencing difficulty in maintaining their tenancy due to their experiences and relationship with substances, including alcohol.

Proficiency with IT and the ability to maintain up do date records in our database are necessary.
