The CGD Society
Chronic Granulomatous Disorder (CGD) is a rare, life-limiting immune disorder, where children and adults get frequent bacterial and fungal infections, which can be serious and life-threatening.
The CGD Society is the primary resource for individuals facing a CGD diagnosis, offering essential information and support to families throughout their CGD journey. Our organisation is led by our dedicated and inspiring Executive Director who works tirelessly alongside our CGD Clinical nurse specialist, who is based at Great Ormond Street Hospital. While headquartered in the UK, we proudly support around 1,500 members across 77 countries, representing this global community with pride.
Key responsibilities
Community Fundraising

Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to increase income through regular giving, donations, campaigns, legacy giving, corporate partnerships, and other fundraising initiatives.

Promote participation in major sporting and challenge events.

Provide supporters with the necessary materials and motivation to maximize their fundraising efforts for the CGD Society.

Send personal thank you letters and certificates to acknowledge donations and fundraising efforts promptly.

Address fundraising inquiries.

Maintain regular communication with key fundraisers and stakeholders.

Attend events to support participants when appropriate.
Corporate Sponsorship and Partnerships

Establish and cultivate relationships with companies to secure sponsorships for various projects, fundraising events, and other funding opportunities.

Form alliances within the charity sector to achieve shared fundraising objectives and create more appealing sponsorship proposals.
Grant fundraising

If funding permits a three-day working week, with training and development, prepare and submit persuasive funding applications to Charitable Trusts and Foundations to boost our core income.

Develop with the Exec Director a rolling strategy for such applications, building relationships with funders and defining compelling funding targets.
Digital Marketing

Lead the development and execution of social media content to increase awareness and income, utilizing optimal methods to reach target audiences and drive engagement.

Serve as a "brand guardian," ensuring consistent, cohesive, and well-thought-out messaging, tone, and appearance across all internal and external communications.

Source and maintain a repository of up-to-date case studies, photos, and videos on life with CGD, transforming these into media-ready stories for social media, newsletters, the website, and reports.

Create and distribute regular newsletters using Mailchimp and other communication tools for members.

Manage the CGD Society website (WordPress), ensuring it is regularly updated and engaging for our beneficiaries, collaborating with external suppliers as needed.

The role
Global Greengrants Fund UK is looking to hire an energetic and passionate individual who will play a key role in establishing and developing Global Greengrants Fund UK’s offering to individual donors to be able to make gifts of £100,000 annually, in order to secure significant unrestricted income for the organisation.
GGF UK has a small portfolio of existing high net worth individual (HNWI) supporters but is currently primarily reliant on income from trusts and foundations. The post holder will join the organisation at a time of very significant growth and will be expected to be able to work autonomously to build out a new income stream with significant potential to diversify our revenue and strengthen the organisation’s support to grassroots environmental justice movements.
Working as part of the Philanthropic Partnerships team and reporting to the Director of Philanthropic Partnerships, the postholder will also collaborate closely with colleagues across the global organisation Global Greengrants Fund, particularly within the Programmes, Communications, and Development teams towards realising organisational aims.
The candidate profile
The successful applicant will have significant relevant experience in a similar role in a charitable, environmental, development, and/or grant-making organisation. They will be an experienced, senior-level fundraiser with a track record of securing and developing successful relationships with HNWIs to achieve ambitious income goals. They will have extensive experience in developing pitches, proposals, and fundraising products; and a strong interest in environmental justice, international development or human rights issues. They will have an extensive knowledge of the funding and philanthropy sectors in the UK and Europe; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and be confident in engaging a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including at senior levels. They should also have excellent interpersonal understanding, relationship-building, stewardship, and conceptual skills to build strong alliances with diverse constituencies and manage complex politics, positioning, and relationships. They also thrive in a virtual environment and are motivated to take on challenges and collaboratively find innovative and creative solutions.

OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
FUNDRAISING
- Be a point of contact for fundraising, ensuring a positive experience for funders and managing financial transactions to agreed fundraising policies and processes.
- Develop a regional Grant Programme, focusing on unrestricted income and feeding into fundraising management reporting.
- Identify, research, and communicate income and partnership opportunities, working proactively with colleagues across the Group to scope fundable initiatives that provide added value.
- Work alongside the team to develop high-quality grant funding applications, cases for support, and budgets. Complete the end-to-end process, ensuring all applications are thorough and competitive.
- Oversee grant reporting and invoicing, ensuring prompt fulfilment in line with all grant agreements and reporting requirements, liaising with relevant teams across the Group.
- Plan, implement and manage various campaigns and activities, which may include but are not limited to local events, national events, outreach, and fundraising opportunities.
PARTNERSHIP BUILDING
- Attend networking events to build engagement and partnerships with local and national organisations.
- Build a rolling calendar of charity of the year application deadlines. Provide excellent stewardship, using innovative ways to keep all parties engaged and informed of relevant news and updates by SIG.

About the organisation
Look Good Feel Better is a national cancer charity devoted to delivering workshops that help people living with a cancer diagnosis to cope with the physical and emotional side effects of their treatment. Delivered by trained volunteers from the beauty industry, the free workshops offer practical advice about changes to skin and hair as well as supporting body confidence and well-being. Delivered in person at Cancer Care Centres and Hospitals across the UK as well as online, the workshops offer an invaluable opportunity to meet people in similar situations in a safe and inclusive space.
The Role
The charity is now embarking on a significant growth plan which will see a trebling in the number of beneficiaries supported (from 10,000 to 30,000 within four years). To allow the charity to deliver this plan, they are making substantial investment into the fundraising and communications team, this new role will be instrumental in assisting with the ambitious income growth. By 2028 the income should be reaching 3 million pounds.

The Interim Deputy Executive Director will join the brilliant senior leadership team at Reprieve to help build and lead the work of the organization, in particular working closely with one of our Joint Executive Directors while the other is on parental leave.
Reprieve is a human rights NGO founded in 1999 which uses strategic interventions (using the law, policy work and public advocacy) to end the use of the death penalty globally, and to end extreme human rights abuses carried out in the name of “counterterrorism” or “national security”.
The Interim Deputy Executive Director’s responsibilities will include managing senior staff at Reprieve, including the Directors of Casework, Advocacy and Policy, and working with the Joint Executive Director to oversee Reprieve’s Fundraising and Finances, its Governance and Board relationships, and its HR and Operations functions.
The ideal candidate will ideally have experience of leadership of a small to medium size human rights or similar charity, preferably with some international operations. They will have exceptionally strong management and people management skills, excellent judgment, proven ability to lead teams to achieve impact in their work, and an understanding of charity governance and finance issues.
Contract, location and salary
This is an interim, 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is based in Reprieve’s London office. Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work 2 days per week from the London office and the rest of the week from home.
The salary is £80,000 per annum plus up to 5% employee matched pension contribution.

VOICES are excited to be seeking our first full time fundraiser to support our growth and development. We are looking for an individual who has relevant sector experience, a good knowledge and understanding of fundraising and a commitment to working in a trauma informed way. As a survivor led organisation, we are looking for someone who shares our ethos and will be proactive in consulting with our Lived Experience Group(s).
You will work closely with the CEO to help secure the long-term future of VOICES, through expanding and diversifying our income generation.
With a good understanding and knowledge of grants and trusts fundraising, you will also help direct our future – with consideration to community fundraising, charity shop and/or social enterprise. Whilst we’ve many ideas about what it might look like, no decisions have yet been made and we’re keen to work collaboratively with our new fundraiser and hear their vision.
At VOICES, we have big ambitions which would cement our role as sector leader in recovery services and ensuring survivors’ voices remain at the heart of policy and practice.
This role will also involve working to help develop VOICES’ name, increasing community awareness of our charity. You will therefore bring with you, knowledge of social media, marketing and communications and/or a willingness to learn.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, oversee and actively lead the implementation of a fundraising strategy which exploits a wide range of fundraising opportunities, maintains diverse and sustainable income streams, and builds the organisation’s voluntary income capacity to meet its aims and objectives.
- Oversee and support the development of fundraising, with consideration to diversifying our income avenues.
- Working closely with the CEO and Finance Assistant, maintain an overview of funding across the organisation and analyse income sources to manage the fundraising strategy, assess progress against targets and contribute towards our financial capacity.
- Absorb the knowledge of the team and consult with them regarding priorities, representation, approach and model.
- Work with the CEO to develop high quality grants and trusts applications (our current main source of income).
- Build on our existing corporate partnerships and establish / develop new corporate partnerships for VOICES.
- Attend Finance Committee meetings and the Board of Trustees, reporting on fundraising and progress against the strategy.
- Help to grow the name of VOICES, through use of relationships, partnerships, marketing and communications.
- Work closely with the Centre Administrator to agree a planned approach to social media.
- Working with the VOICES team, consider the role of volunteers in VOICES – taking management responsibility for any fundraising volunteers.
- In line with our trauma-informed ethos, adopt a trauma-informed approach.
- Work with clients, including the Lived Experience Group, to hear their ideas for fundraising and enable their participation in events / volunteer opportunities where appropriate.
- Develop and maintain relationships with a variety of key stakeholders including Clients, funders (including trusts, companies, major donors), Trustees and volunteers.

This role will join TCV at an exciting time for our charity. You will be central to a small immediate Fundraising team and a wider income generation directorate. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

- Improve the understanding and confidence of households in fuel poverty to better manage their energy use.
