About the team
In Norfolk we have provided housing advice for over 25 years, with offices in Norwich and Kings Lynn as well as Court Desks in Norwich, Kings Lynn and Great Yarmouth County Courts. We work within communities to understand and respond to the housing issues they have and work in partnership to deliver our priorities: supporting people with additional needs, combatting discrimination and disrepair in the private rented sector and fair access to and delivery of social housing throughout Norfolk.
About the role
You will be the first point of contact for in-person and telephone callers to the service which involves taking client details, providing information and working with advisers to direct enquiries to the right people. You will provide administrative support functions and have responsibility for designing and developing office systems and processes, data input, extraction and analysis and finance administration. Helping the front line team with case administration, assisting the Hub management with ad-hoc projects and making sure that our office equipment is properly maintained – these are all aspects of this interesting, varied and vital role.

Forcesline is SSAFA's frontline telephone service handling both day-to-day and more complex enquiries from the Armed Forces community.
This role is responsible for the management and development of the Forcesline service and will also act as point of contact for the Veterans Gateway. The Manager will lead and support a team of advisors, developing the service in response to the needs of the clients and technological requirements, as well as ensuring a high quality of service. The role involves the preparation of data, briefings, presentations and some media work.
About the role
This role requires the management of a small team of advisors who provide free confidential listening, information and signposting service for serving personnel, their families, veterans and professionals who are looking for help. It requires a resilient individual who is able to both support the team and develop the service as it moves forward with advances in technology enabling wider means of communicating with those it is helping. It is an exciting time to join as these changes are currently occurring and you will be involved with this transition.
About the team
You will work with a great team of advisors who are both experienced and skilled. All Forcesline Welfare Advisors are trained in Safeguarding and each practitioner has at least a Level 2 Counselling qualification. Their experience covers former Samaritans, Pastrol Care, Social Work and Police Despatch Calling. As a team they learn and support one another. You as their Manager will be fully involved with this and will ensure SSAFA delivers on its mission as a trusted source of support to the Armed Forces Community as their times of need.
About you
You will have had experience in delivering welfare support to others, and ideally this has been gained through a helpline. While the team is small, some management experience would be desirable. You will also need to be technically competent as most of this work will be done virtually through digital means.

Nacro is a national Social Justice Charity with more than 50 years' experience of changing lives, building stronger communities, and working with stakeholders towards reducing crime.
Nacro deliver the Community Accommodation Support service (CAS) which is a national service across England and Wales. The service allows Courts to make greater use of bail by providing accommodation in the community with support for adult defendants who could not otherwise be bailed. CAS also provides support for adults released from Custody in the last three months of their sentence on Home Detention Curfew (HDC) and other Licence Orders.
The Team provides flexible and holistic support to Residents who have a wide range of support needs. We aim to support our Residents to find and keep a stable home at the end of their CAS-2 placement. You will manage a caseload of Residents and properties in your allocated area.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support clients to comply with the requirements of their HDC/Bail conditions.
- Producing a realistic and achievable Support Plan to include accessing and using housing and accommodation services to support move on to longer term accommodation.
- Ensure that all Support Plans and Risk Assessments are unique, inclusive and person-centred.
- Provide weekly support to Residents to engage with their support plan and contribute to the achievement of their objectives and aspirations.
- Support Residents to access Housing Benefit in the first instance to ensure that their tenancy is not put at risk with escalating rent arrears.
- Manage properties within your area of responsibility to ensure they are being maintained to Decent Homes Standard by reporting repairs, and replacing furniture and equipment are required.
- Undertake basic cleaning tasks as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver effective, person-centred Support and Safety Plans
- Provide weekly support sessions (up to 2 hours per week) working with our Residents to achieve the goals identified on individual Support and Move On Plans.
- Maintain up to date individual Resident records.

- Complete referrals to specialist support agencies in the community as required.
- Liaise with Partner Agencies such as The Probation and Prison Services, Courts, and Police where necessary.

About this role
The Programmes Team is responsible for delivering demand-led services globally; providing tailored capacity building support to organisations and their partners through individual or framework contracts. Central London Samaritans (CLS) is the largest of Samaritans’ 201 branches.
Based in the heart of Soho (*), 450 volunteers deliver the Samaritans service round the clock, every day of the year providing support for anyone struggling to cope. Our core objective is to deliver services that support the Samaritans vision that fewer people will die by suicide. Assisted by a small staff team, volunteers manage over 100,000 contacts a year of which, pre-pandemic, 4,500 were face to face visits.
As well as delivering services in our Marshall Street centre, we also work in the community across seven London boroughs. From providing emotional support for London’s homeless, to running peer-to-peer listener programmes at Brixton prison, and delivering talks and workshops to schools and workplaces, we pride ourselves on the support we give to our community. Role description:
Responsible for ensuring the delivery of the community events fundraising plans and activities. About You
Key Skills:
- Experience of working in senior leadership in an organisation at least of similar size and complexity and a track record of seeing strategic vision become a reality.
- Experience in project and/ or operations management and a track record for developing the systems, quality assurance and management that support organisational excellence.
- Strategic thinker, who is able to grasp detail, with an ability to translate ideas into strategies and deliverable outcomes.
- Experience of leading an HR function within an organisation, including development and management of HR systems and processes.
- Experience in building, developing, managing and leading teams effectively, focusing on results delivery.
- Substantial experience of strategic project design, development and evaluation.
- Demonstrable project management skills and experience of delivering multiple concurrent programmes, with a track record of successful delivery.
- Experience in finance.

The National Flood Forum (NFF) is the only independent national charity dedicated to supporting and representing people at risk of flooding. Established in 2002 by those affected by flooding, we passionately put people at the heart of flood risk management. Our goal is to empower individuals and communities to recover from flooding and get the best possible outcomes. We put people first. We act as an honest, trustworthy and independent broker on behalf of flooded people.
We work across four key areas:
- Providing information via our helpline and website
- Recovery Services in flooded areas
- Flood Action Groups
- Policy and Advocacy
With over 300 Flood Action Groups across England and Wales and handling more than 1000 calls annually through our helpline, NFF plays a crucial role in supporting and representing flood-affected and at-risk communities. We collaborate closely with flood risk management agencies, local authorities, and government bodies. We also aspire to a collaborative, supportive, and solution-focused environment for our staff.
About the Role
This senior leadership position is pivotal within NFF, acting as the bridge between flood risk management organisations and the communities we support. Your role will involve significant national travel and occasional evening and weekend work.
Responsibilities
- Projects and Workstreams: Oversee and ensure outstanding delivery of community projects.
- Community Engagement: Engage and empower communities, supporting and representing them and pushing for the best outcomes. Being ambitious on their behalf and advocating for change.
- Recovery Services: Develop our Recovery Services offer.
- Leadership and Team Management: Line manage staff, fostering a collaborative and productive environment. Modelling behaviours and driving forward team development.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Manage key stakeholder relationships, ensuring strong partnerships.
- Project Management: Secure and manage new and existing projects in line with our strategy.
- Political and Fundraising Support: Provide data, case studies, and research to support political influencing and fundraising activities.
Day-to-Day Activities
- Support junior team members in project management and delivery roles. Manage development pathways for team members.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure smooth operational and community engagement activities.
- Manage partnerships and competing agendas for the benefit of communities.
- Identify new income streams and initiatives, working with the team to develop these.
- Develop and enhance our community engagement and recovery services.
- Collaborate with the Management Team on setting and delivering NFF’s strategy and objectives.
