As Operations Volunteering Experience Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that volunteers in operations-based roles feel valued, prepared, and supported throughout their journey. You’ll coordinate face-to-face and virtual induction sessions, facilitate ongoing training opportunities, and provide regular communication to ensure volunteers remain engaged and informed.

A key part of your role will involve monitoring and evaluating the volunteer journey, gathering feedback and insights to improve processes and experiences. You’ll manage volunteer data and compliance, ensuring records are accurate and up to date. Additionally, you’ll support the recognition and celebration of volunteers, helping to coordinate award events and initiatives that highlight the incredible contributions of those who give their time.

To excel in this role, you’ll have experience managing and supporting volunteers, ensuring they have a positive and rewarding experience. You’ll be confident in advising on best practices and processes, with the ability to build strong relationships across different teams.

Experience with volunteer management systems, CRM databases (such as Salesforce), and Microsoft Office will be beneficial. A strong understanding of GDPR, safeguarding principles, and best practices in equality, diversity, and inclusion is also essential.

Strong organisation and communication skills will be key, as well as the ability to problem-solve and handle enquiries efficiently. Whether facilitating training, providing advice, or coordinating new volunteer initiatives, you’ll bring a solutions-focused approach to ensure volunteers feel engaged, valued, and equipped for success.

Job Title: Recovery Worker (Night Shifts)

Location: In service based in Camberwell, SE5 7HQ (Queens Road Peckham is a 23 minute walk or a 13 minute ride on the 36, 136, 171 and 436 and Elephant and Castle station is a 8 minute ride on the 343) 

Salary: £27,000

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week working Monday to Sunday on a rolling rota which covers 21:00 - 08:00. Rotas will typically be 2 nights on, 2 nights off, 3 nights on, then 2 nights off. Bank holiday working permitted if rota falls on this day. You may also be required to work flexibly in the week to attend day meetings and training sessions.

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Worker to join our team which aims to deliver support to male residents aged between 18 and 65. You will be at the heart of providing person centred support in a residential setting to our residents who have mental health issues, often alongside drug and alcohol dependencies. You will provide tailored support to help our residents to improve their quality of life, and achieve their personal goals through providing flexible support. The service offers our residents two years supported living with 24 hour medium to high levels of support to help residents maintain stability in the community and reduce hospital admissions. 

You will work directly with our residents to support them to overcome their personal barriers and challenges to achieve positive outcomes. You will do this through one to one support sessions, group sessions and activities, and general support with their daily living.

The role further includes:

• Supporting residents with taking their correct medication
• Carrying out various welfare checks on residents during the night
• Health and safety tasks, including reporting repairs and maintenance
• Keeping support plans up to date using our online portal
• Plan and deliver various activities within the service to gain a sense of community and belonging which could include movie nights, cooking nights, and game nights. You are welcome to bring your own ideas to bring residents together to achieve positive outcomes.

About you

We're looking for someone who has a true passion to support those who face challenges with their mental health, and have substance dependency. You will be able to build rapport and trusting relations in a professional setting, and able to build positive outcomes. You will have an adaptable and flexible approach to helping others, with an understanding that each individual has different levels and types of support needs. 

You will have an understanding and ability to help others overcome their personal barriers, and will be motivated to want to make a difference to people's lives. This is a fulfilling role, and is the perfect fit for someone who has a real passion in helping others. You will have:

• Experience working within a residential setting
• Experience working with people with multiple and complex needs, ideally in mental health
• Ability to show empathy and compassion to our residents, and different challenges they face
• Ability  to motivate, and empower others to achieve their personal goals and overcome barriers
• IT ability to use our online CRM systems and Microsoft programs daily
• Previous experience in creating co-produced support plans, key working, and care plans
• Understanding of the housing and social needs of people with multiple and complex needs and be aware of the social marginalisation that can be attached to people who face personal challenges
• A qualification in NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is extremely desirable

About the Role

Our Lancashire Infant Feeding Support project is commissioned by Lancashire Council, to offer infant feeding support across the region in both community and hospital settings. The support is delivered by staff and volunteer peer supporters.

We are seeking a capable Peer Supporter who will support parents at Royal Preston Hospital and on occasion East Lancashire Hospital Trust or Ormskirk District General Hospital as well as community groups and home visits in Central and East Lancashire. This role will mainly be based at out in the community, with some homeworking. Expenses will be reimbursed to/from a base (Royal Preston Hospital).

You will be responsible for offering breastfeeding support for parents within Royal Preston Hospital and on occasion East Lancashire Hospital Trust and Ormskirk District General Hospital and the community.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:
 

• Providing breastfeeding support to families on the wards at the hospitals, in service user homes and community settings within Lancashire.
• Support in delivering inductions for volunteer peer supporters. 
• To report any concerns or additional support needs of women to the NCT management team and/or Infant Feeding Lead for referral onto partner agencies as appropriate.
• To attend regular supervision/support sessions. 
• Having a good working knowledge and understanding of the local demographics in the Lancashire area and ensuring all support is accessible and inclusive.
• Ensure that data collection and feedback is collected in a timely manner in an inclusive way.

You must have good communication skills and be able to build relationships and create a rapport with a wide range of people easily. This is a large project and covers multiple locations so you must be able to confidently prioritise your own work, be highly organised and able to work independently.

Being able to make decisions and respond appropriately to our staff, peer supporters and parents and other external stakeholders is essential, alongside good IT skills– including Outlook, Word and Excel – and you must have good attention to detail.
 
It is essential for this post that you undertake the training to become an NCT Breastfeeding Peer Supporter. This requires breastfeeding experience of at least 3 months. The training can be undertaken within your working hours.

The role is 17.5 hours per week which will be worked Monday Tuesday, Friday 09:00 – 15:00. This will be split across the two hospitals, in service user homes and at community settings across Lancashire, however there is also some home-based working required.

About the Role

• The London Hotel is a bespoke and time limited housing project, with 16 en-suite rooms, delivered by Westminster City Council and The Connection at St Martins. The accommodation is run from a hotel in Paddington, that has a staff office and a key work room.
• The aim of the service is to deliver a wrap-around support offer to entrenched rough sleepers, with multiple unmet needs, and who would otherwise struggle to access accommodation. The expectation put on those moving into the service is that they will be given a period of time to stabilise with health and wellbeing input and will then work towards a longer-term accommodation offer with us.
• The service provides food daily, as well as toiletries and offers other areas of support (aside from health and accommodation move on) around financial inclusion, substance dependency, obtaining ID and navigating criminal justice involvement.
• In this role, you will provide direct support to the residents of the hotel generally, as well as holding a small case load of residents who you will keywork.
• You will work closely with external partners to develop support networks around the residents and will make referrals into the relevant services. Alongside this you might need to accompany people off-site to appointments and coordinate the network around them to meet their needs. You will also need to facilitate external partners accessing the site, so they can provide support to residents.  
• Your focus when working with people will be to support them to develop a move on plan, so they can move from the hotel, into longer term accommodation. This is alongside the day to day running of the service as well as facilitating the maintenance of a trauma informed environment and dynamically responding to people’s needs.
• This is a fixed term role until 31st March 2026
