For over 80 years RSPCA Halifax, Huddersfield and Bradford Branch have rehabilitated and rehomed thousands of animals in the West Yorkshire area. As an independent charitable organisation, separate from the National RSPCA, we are financially self sufficient and governed by our Board of Trustees. We are about to embark on a 5 year plan to redevelop our Animal Centre facilities and to secure innovative and sustainable commercial growth. As a result, we have an exciting opportunity for a new CEO to join our team.
As a large RSPCA branch with significant reach, we need to maximise our potential in many areas; our retail shops, fundraising, legacies, and donations as well as growing our supporter and volunteer base. This means we want to significantly grow our impact and influence throughout our region. Long term financial sustainability and modern facilities are our strategic goals to safeguard the animals whose wellbeing and lives we transform.
A new CEO role is sought to work closely and openly with a highly engaged board and management team. The appointee has a great opportunity to make a step change to the commercial and reputational trajectory of the Branch as well as bringing all c60 staff and managers on an exciting change and development journey.
They will represent the charity across our region, building strong commercial networks, identifying opportunities for growth, business development and diversification. This will mean building deep relationships with local businesses and representing the branch in the local media as required. Furthermore, the role will be ultimately accountable for the operational running of the Branch, to ensure legal, regulatory and financial compliance through the management team.
The successful applicant must be a ‘people centred’ leader who believes that success is achieved by enabling others to achieve their potential. Experience of managing culture change programmes and commercial success will be essential, as well as having a passion for animal welfare and conservation. For further details please refer to the job description.
We value diversity and welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds. We seek to employ people based on their ability to carry out the requirements of the role and no applicant will receive less favourable treatment on the grounds of disability, gender, race, religion, or belief, age, sexual orientation, marital status, parental status or caring responsibilities.

Fundraising is still a relatively new activity for DFN Project SEARCH and this role presents the opportunity to play a key part in its expansion to support the further growth of the charity and enable young adults with a learning disability to lead healthier, happier, and more independent lives.
This role will support the Director of Development in implementing DFN Project SEARCH’s fundraising strategy. To date the strategy has focused on securing a small number of larger gifts from philanthropic sources, such as trusts and foundations. We are now evolving the strategy to include growing income from high-net-worth individuals, companies, and individual giving.
This role will lead on the development and implementation of the strategy to secure income from high-net-worth individuals (between five and potentially seven figures) and will also work with the Director of Development and the Development Officer on securing income from, and stewarding, trusts, foundations, and statutory funders. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team there is also the opportunity to input to the wider strategy and development of the charity and support the Director of Development in their role as a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
The team is currently made up of the Director of Development, Corporate Partnership Manager (reporting to the Director of Development), and the Development Officer (reporting to this new role).

Are you looking to do things differently? Phew, so are we. For too long, we've looked on social media and, if we're being honest, email communications too, as the nasally, awkward cousin who's great when you play family Trivial Pursuit each Boxing Day but the rest of the time is tolerated just because he's a blood relative (allegedly).
We used the above introduction when we recently advertised for a Social Media and Email Communications Manager and we ended up hiring an absolute gem. So, we’re going to use it all over again as we look to hire a Digital Communications Specialist who will report into our new gem.
As your manager’s title suggests your focus will be on BMS World Mission’s social media channels and suite of supporter and church-facing emails and you will be working within the Communications Team within the Department of Communications and Fundraising.
Both this role and your boss’ role are new creations – we are in the mood to experiment. We know enough to know what we don't know (and we've commissioned a detailed social media and email audit report to tell us the rest) and we dream plenty big enough to know there's so much more we could do. We just need to find the right person to measure the chemicals, heat the Bunsen burner, mix the liquids and holler with glee when the latest experiment shatters the test tube and creates gold. Could that be you?
BMS is a Christian mission organisation founded in 1792, today we work in around 30 countries over four continents. We are passionate about making Jesus known across the world and transforming the lives of those we serve.
