The Family Support Lead is a new role developed to embed our family centred practice into the heart of everything we do. Working flexibly across the week the successful candidate will be delivering support within groups, in the home and in the wider community, helping us to extend our reach to currently unsupported families and raising awareness of our work.
Working with the Head of Family Service and Operations and Head of Development the role will develop the Specialist Worker team to deliver high quality family support. Working closely with local stakeholders (including but not limited to schools, family hubs, social care, health and other voluntary sector organisations), the wider Playskill team and families, this role will deliver family-centred practice and ensure positive outcomes for families.
We are looking for someone who has an understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and the challenges of navigating the education, welfare and health systems. They will need to understand the needs of families and be able to work collaboratively.
You must be able to develop strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. As a self-starter, you will be able to use your own initiative, problem solve and prioritise, with good planning and organisational skills. You will be expected to manage your weekly diary ensuring you are offering timely, quality support across our sites and within the community. You will be expected to have a positive, resilient attitude, be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and be flexible and adaptable.

Purpose of the Job
Hammersmith and Fulham, Ealing and Hounslow Mind have secured funding from the National Lottery Community Fund to deliver a new outreach programme, designed to increase awareness and access to mental health support for children, young people (CYP) and families from underserved communities, children who may not be in school, or who may not be able to travel to use our services. Job Summary
The role includes:
- Delivering direct outreach with young people to raise awareness of mental health support and pathways.
- Providing detached mental health services within the community to address challenges in a non-clinical environment.
- Using your skills to develop engaging resources that increase awareness and understanding of youth mental health issues, and adapt them to different languages and local communities.
- Work alongside our Parental Engagement Practitioner to deliver with community groups and partner agencies, raising awareness throughout diverse communities across our boroughs.

Key Responsibilities
- Work with your team to develop children and young people’s outreach provision offered by HFEH Mind, using creative approaches to engage CYP.
- Help CYP and parents to overcome logistical challenges to accessing support.
- Work in partnership with community organisations to work with underserved groups including boys and young people from minority ethnic backgrounds.
- Offer direct outreach support to young people who have been excluded from school or with emotionally based school avoidance.
- Participate in a mapping exercise of local communities, languages and knowledge of mental health.
- Use trauma informed approaches (e.g., ARC, Tree of Life) to support children, young people and their parents and carers.
- Signpost anyone accessing the provision to appropriate and local on-going support; and build up your knowledge and networks of such support.

About the position
Business & Human Rights Resource Centre, an international non-profit organisation tracking the human rights impacts of more than 10,000 companies worldwide, is seeking a Social Media and Digital Content Officer to join our global team.
The successful candidate will be a creative, digital native social media expert who can help to take our social media content to the next level, helping us to reach and influence our most important audiences.
They will be comfortable devising social media content ideas, designing creative assets, writing sharp, engaging social media copy, and helping colleagues around the world to grow their own social media presence.
The position will also play an important role in the success of our digital platform, which is central to everything the organisation does, both creating content and facilitating content creation by colleagues from across our global team.
This role will join the busy and collegiate central Communications Team, as well as working with project team colleagues to help most effectively communicate our research, analysis and key findings on social channels, supporting and amplifying the efforts of our partners on the ground driving respect for human rights in business and fighting to achieve justice and remedies for victims of corporate abuse.
Key Responsibilities
Social media (approx. two thirds of role):
- Social media content: Manage the day-to-day social media comms production and planning, including planning calendars, scheduling and posting

Key competencies and attributes
Essential:
Experience: At least three years’ experience in a social media-focused role, with a strong preference for experience working as part of an international team or on international issues and campaigns.
A digital native, who understands how to create compelling content that is social-first in nature.
A track record of developing impactful social media and digital communications content, preferably in the campaigning, policy, advocacy or not-for-profit spaces.
Communications: Excellent understanding of how strategic digital communications can work alongside research and advocacy approaches to achieve change.
Proven ability to communicate complex and sensitive information in an impactful way; understanding of how to tailor content to different audiences, contexts and channels online.
Global focus: This role has a strong regional/international remit and international working experience is strongly preferred.

What could my day look like?
The Education Worker role is a frontline, fast-paced and rewarding role where no two weeks will look the same. A typical day will have different activities, possibly spread between the IntoUniversity centre, partner schools and the offices of a corporate partner.
In the morning, you might be setting off with resources to run a workshop for sixth-form students in their secondary school. In the afternoon you may be setting up the classroom ahead of running Primary Academic Support for young people in your IntoUniversity centre. About the role:
LaunchPad is a Newham based 14-bed medium-high need assessment centre, working with clients with varied complex needs such as mental health and substance misuse needs. LaunchPad provides 24 hour support to clients referred off the street, by street outreach teams. The maximum stay for clients at LaunchPad is 16 weeks, where, within this time clients are assessed and referred to their next step accommodation.
As a project worker at LaunchPad your caseload will be a maximum of 5 clients whom you will support to access housing and other general support needs such as access to health services.
We are seeking experienced and highly motivated staff members for our Rough Sleeping Services in Newham. The role will require you to work alongside the Service Manager to provide a high level of support to these clients at our Launchpad Assessment Hub.
You will be in a specialist role designed to work with people who experience multiple disadvantages relating to: mental ill health, physical health & substance use needs. You will also play a key part in reducing the risk of re-offending, liaising with external professionals, preventing homelessness and promoting the independence and social inclusion of these clients.
About you:
- An understanding and experience of working with vulnerable adults with complex support needs (including substances use, offending, mental ill health, complex housing issues and/ or any other support needs) with a demonstrable ability of being able to manage and work clients within this remit.
- A working knowledge of being able to support clients into supported accommodation, the private rented sector or other move-on options, with a demonstrable understanding of Housing and other related legislation.
- Experience of working with clients who may experience multiple disadvantages and as a result have been rough sleeping and/or homelessness.
- A proven track record of achieving measurable outcomes with clients with multiple/complex needs.
- Experience of effectively working with partner agencies and developing contacts and networks across a wide range of local services; to enable effective signposting.
- An understanding of the principles of assessment and risk, planned support, key working, goal setting, and advocacy with vulnerable clients.
- To be analytical in approach, respond calmly to crisis and deal promptly, effectively, safely and creatively to complex and challenging situations
- A level of numeracy, literacy and comprehension to input data and the ability to use emails, common computer packages and databases.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Children’s & Youth Worker to join our team at Oasis Church Waterloo, to work with our under-18s and their families. The postholder will have particular responsibility for developing the children’s and youth provision at Oasis Church Waterloo, leading the team delivering children’s and youth work on Sundays and also deepening relationships with our church families during the week. The Church Children and Youth Worker will also be responsible for developing and expanding the integrated children’s and youth provision across the Waterloo Hub, with significant input into developing school families support work and developing the staff and volunteer team.
Key responsibilities of this role will be:

· Working with our church ministers and children’s/youth workers across the Oasis Church Network to develop a curriculum for our work with under-18s in church.

The successful post holder must have:
· A relevant professional qualification in Youth & Community (JNC) or Teaching (QTS) or Social Work (QSW) at DipHE level or above, relevant NVQ (Level 3) or be able to demonstrate qualification by experience

We are looking for two Youth Workers to build trusting and collaborative relationships with vulnerable service users aged 10-12 years transitioning from years 5 and 6 into secondary school to identify and address any potential risk factors that may impact on a young person’s transition.
You will provide support to build the young person’s skills, confidence and resilience during this critical period to engage positively at their new secondary school. This will include the delivery of targeted programmes, activities and 1:1 interventions that address the specific challenges faced by young people including bullying, social isolation, special needs, academic pressures or mental health issues.
