We are proud of our in-house cafe, The Garden Cafe, which prepares nutritious, affordable and delicious food fresh on site every weekday, using locally sourced ingredients. And our sister charity, Cube Youth, provides regular youth club activities and a Youth Café.
As well as our Centre Manager, the staff team includes our Administration Manager, caretaker and cafe staff. We also have a great team of volunteers, and a strong Board of Trustees responsible for the governance of the charity. We receive no external funding and operate largely from hire income and successful applications for grant funding.
The role
As Centre Manager, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of this busy, vibrant community centre and engaging with the community and hirers to present a welcoming, friendly and inclusive atmosphere. Your role will include:
- promoting Malvern Cube and what it offers, developing and maintaining a strong community presence and ensuring that the facilities are well used and hire income is maximised.
- ensuring the effective robust financial management of Malvern Cube and providing regular financial reports to trustees.
- leading and developing the staff and volunteer teams
- contributing to the development of Malvern Cube's strategic plan and leading on key aspects of its implementation.
- day-to-day interface with centre users, hirers and the general public.

Summary
- To keep updated on the main requirements of the Church of England's legislation Clergy Discipline Measure (CDM), Rules and Code of Practice and the incoming Clergy Code of Conduct Measure.

Specific responsibilities
An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:
- Importing batches of client information into our client management system and ensuring uploads are working correctly. Addressing errors on our client database: merging data where it is held across multiple client records, deleting incorrect enquires and deleting duplicate client records.

Refugee Council is a leading charity supporting refugees and people seeking asylum to rebuild their lives in safety here in the UK. Providing practical, hands on support, their award winning services include welcoming refugees into local communities across the country, providing specialist children’s services – with a particular focus on refugee children who arrive here alone, helping people to navigate the asylum system, and supporting people to access housing and employment. They will also have experience of leading on the conceptualisation, planning and delivery of a range of event types, from small, intimate dinners to large receptions and be adept at creating and managing a monitoring and evaluation framework to track activity and apply lessons learned to future activities. They will also be comfortable working with senior leaders within Refugee Council, as well as corporate leaders, parliamentarians and other influential people, alongside having a sound understanding of the principles and impact of exemplary stewardship and cultivation of supporters and prospects.
Refugee Council will provide the most moving and diverse case for support. Cases that encompass innovative external affairs campaigns aimed at engaging policy makers and the public.

About the Role
- Support young people and young adults (18-25) from the point they engage with the service, through their entire journey.
- Work alongside the MOPAC Y2A hub, specifically supporting young adults involved with probation services.
- Provide screening, assessments, psychosocial interventions, care planning, and post-treatment support, ensuring seamless transitions in care.
- Respond effectively to safeguarding issues, ensuring the safety and well-being of the individuals you work with.

About You
- Experience working with young people, with a good understanding of the issues they face.
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices, particularly concerning children and young people, including the Fraser Competence framework.
- Strong understanding of drug and alcohol-related issues and experience in a related field.
- Knowledge of best practices in substance misuse treatment services, especially in relation to young people.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a high level of IT proficiency.
