We are looking for a creative, pro-active, and outgoing New Corporate Partnerships Manager to join our team who can build on our successful corporate partnership programme. This is an exciting role that combines new business and account management, implementing Orchid’s corporate fundraising strategy with the aim of maximising income from corporate partnerships.

Corporate Partnerships Manager Responsibilities:

As a key member of our Fundraising Team, you will be responsible for researching prospective corporate partners for specific industry sectors and building a pipeline of potential sources of income, identifying new opportunities and growing our partnership base as well as maximising income from current partners.

You will be a natural communicator who has the ability to persuade, influence and inspire, with the confidence to build relationships at a senior level, across various departments and industries.

Corporate Partnerships Manager Requirements:

We would welcome applications from candidates with strong corporate fundraising or comparable experience who can maintain and develop existing relationships with corporate partners and proactively identify and secure new relationships.

You will understand the need for a bespoke approach to each corporate, understanding their requirements and how best to achieve a mutually beneficial relationship. You will need to be committed, self-motivated and passionate about the work of the charity, have demonstrable experience of delivering fundraising targets and ensure the highest ethical governance standards.

About Orchid Cancer Appeal 
Over 55,000 men are diagnosed every year in the UK with testicular, prostate, or penile cancer.  Orchid is the UK’s leading charity working in the area of male-specific cancers.

Established in 1996 by testicular cancer patient Colin Osborne, and the oncologist who saved his life, Professor Tim Oliver, the charity exists to saves lives through funding a world-class research programme, awareness and education campaigns and a range of vital Nurse-led support services. These services include Orchid Male Cancer Information Nurse Specialists, a freephone National Male Cancer Helpline, a Testicular Cancer and Penile Cancer Counselling Service, a portfolio of online and paper-based resources, an award-winning testicular cancer microsite called “Your Privates” and a school’s resource pack, a dedicated website, community education programme including talks, presentations and Roadshows, and a penile cancer support service in Scotland.

The Caseworker (Health Projects) role involves working across our Patient Welfare Advice Service (PWAS), which takes referrals from GPs and social prescribers, and our Macmillan Benefits Advice Service, which supports people affected by cancer. Our caseworkers help people navigate complex problems and find practical solutions. They have good technical knowledge of the social welfare issues that matter most to our clients and are responsible for delivering advice with a moderate level of supervision. They also have responsibility for managing incoming referrals and maintaining positive relationships with project partners. This is an advice role that involve providing casework support and could full-time role or two part time roles, which we’re happy to discuss following interviews.

If you don’t meet all the requirements of the person specification, we’ll consider offering this role at a lower salary range (Adviser rather than Caseworker), as it could be a could development opportunity for someone who wants to progress into a caseworker role.

About the charity

Every 30 minutes, someone in Wales is diagnosed with cancer. It is predicted that one in two of us will have cancer in our lifetime and by 2030, over 230,000 people in Wales will be living with it.

As cancer outcomes in Wales tend to be poorer than other UK devolved nations and European countries with similar healthcare systems, it is critical that more research is done and quickly. The good news is that incredible work is being done in Wales to ensure earlier diagnosis and more effective treatment.

Cancer Research Wales has been driving forward world class cancer research for almost 60 years, funding more than £30m in research, awareness, and partnerships. But we need and can do so much more.

About the role

You'll be the face of the charity in North Wales, building relationships with community supporters and businesses through corporate partnerships. As this is a new role in the team, we're realistic about what's possible and you'll be supported to build a sustainable pipeline of long-term support across the region.

It's a varied role with huge amounts of potential, working closely alongside fundraising, research and retail colleagues. Opportunities will be available with a wide range of individuals and organisations, including community fundraising volunteers and committees, Welsh business, schools, universities, clubs and associations. With a growing community of donors and supporters taking part in events across Wales, you'll be given the freedom to grow the pipeline in your own way, using your own initiative and innovative ideas.

- Maintain relationships through regular contact with donors throughout their fundraising journey offering any support or guidance needed to maximise their giving

- Act as a dynamic presence, leading and recruiting volunteers, community groups and small companies to organise fundraisers for our charity

- Build fantastic connections with patients, NHS staff, volunteers and our wider community to recruit new donors, fundraisers, volunteers and charity champions

- Support in growing the number of supporters playing the hospital lottery and those giving through our hospital ‘giving plaques

- Support all fundraising activity and represent the charity at events

- Manage and maintain the CRM system (donorfy) which includes entering all donor data including financial transactions and communications 

- Send updates to supporters to retain and increase life-time value and reactivate lapsed donors

The organisation is a pioneering breast cancer charity committed to delivering psychological, practical and emotional support to those diagnosed with the disease throughout the UK. The postholder will manage a portfolio of Trust and Foundation prospects and donors up to the £100k level and develop and maintain strong and long-standing partnerships. As a Finance Business Partner, you will play a crucial role in aligning financial objectives with organisational goals, supporting both fundraising and funding activities, and ensuring financial integrity across all operations. Your main responsibility will be to serve as a liaison between Finance and the Charities team, advocating for both parties to maximise value generation and coordination

Key Responsibilities

Budgeting, Planning and Reporting: 
 

• Ensure financial reporting, especially the monthly income and expenditure report, is tailored to the organisation's needs and aligned with its structure.

• Have a thorough understanding of the management, maintenance, flow, and reconciliation of financial data pertaining to charities across diverse systems, including but not limited to Access Financials, Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, and Power BI. • Conduct rigorous analysis of financial data, trends, and performance metrics to derive insights and offer recommendations for informed decision-making.

Business Partnership:

• Serve as a key partner to Charities Leadership, challenging assumptions and activities to ensure strategic alignment.
• Provide proactive support to Charities Leadership in financial decision-making.
• Provide support for both new and existing fundraising and funding activities, recognising their impact on financial processes.

Skills and Experience

Knowledge and qualifications
 

• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Understanding of the unique financial challenges and regulatory framework of the charity sector. Knowledge of FRS102 and SORP.
• Strategic financial knowledge.

Experience
 

• Minimum of 2 years finance working experience alongside fundraisers in a similar or larger fundraising organisation (e.g. Staff number 100+; fundraising income £10 million+).
• Demonstrable success in preparing consolidated management information and forecasts related to fundraising activities.
• Solid strategic financial acumen and commercial awareness.
• Established track record of cultivating successful business relationships and partnerships.

Skills and abilities

• Highly numerate with advanced Excel skills (essential, will be tested).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills (essential).
• Advanced user of Access Financials, Access Analytics and Access Office Integration (desirable).
• User experience of Salesforce, Power BI and Raiser’ Edge (desirable)

This a permanent position, paying a salary of up to £55,000 per annum and the postholder will be working in a hybrid model in King’s Cross, London. 

The Head of Corporate Partnerships will identify and research potential corporate partners that align with the charity's mission and values. You will develop and implement strategies to approach and secure new corporate partnerships and craft tailored proposals and presentations to effectively communicate the benefits of partnering with Future Dreams.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in corporate fundraising or business development preferably within the charity sector. They are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.

Charity People are excited to be recruiting for a top cancer related charity to find them a new Fundraising Products Executive. The role is to support the delivery of a range of fundraising products, including virtual events, to achieve net income targets, and providing excellent supporter care and stewardship, to drive engagement and retention of supporters.

The successful postholder will support the Fundraising Products Manager with the planning, delivery and development of products and virtual events, and work with wider teams such as digital, events and marketing teams to monitor and report on overall performance of investments and develop effective marketing engagement pieces. You will implement and deliver communication plans and content across variety of channels (email, SMS, social media channels, FAQ documents, website).

There are a few virtual events coming up early next year which they would like the successful person to assist with to help facilitate and put processes and plans in place. Tasks will include managing the sign-up process to the events, managing website forms. Supporter care, checking stock, developing templates and processes.

You will be experienced in fundraising (supporter care, products, community, or events fundraising) and a confident communicator, particularly skilled in writing, as there is a fair amount of work that requires strong writing skills, in terms of drafting templates and managing supporter stories. The role would suit someone who has been working in a fundraising role for a while who is looking to develop their careers in fundraising to a more senior level. You will be forward thinking, able to connect the dots and be proactive in cross team working and seeing the big picture for the upcoming events.

Events Fundraising Assistant

Job title:  Events Fundraising Assistant

Hours: Full-time (Equivalent to 37.5 hours a week), in line with our flexible working policy. If you are unable to work full-time but are interested in the role, we’d be happy to hear from candidates who had a different proposed model of working in mind.

Location: Hybrid working. A mix of home and Leukaemia Care offices (at One Birch Court, Blackpole East, Worcester, WR3 8SG) with a minimum of two days in the office.

Report to: Senior Events & Fundraising Officer

Working closely with: Fundraising Team, Communications Team, Patient Services Team and Finance.

Purpose of the role

Main duties and responsibilities

This role requires work across all of Leukaemia Care’s fundraising event activity – providing administrative and operational support and engaging with supporters both personally and through the charity’s communication channels. Duties and responsibilities will, at any given time, include:

• Providing administrative support to the fundraising team as required.
• Monitor fundraising event e-mail inboxes, ensuring that actions are covered off by members of the fundraising team and, where appropriate, yourself.
• Take responsibility for ensuring that fundraising event participants database records are up to date, including integration with fundraising platforms such as Just Giving. In addition, provide data reports to the Senior Event fundraisers to assist in future event planning.
• Ensure that all event fundraising materials, merchandise and equipment are organised and safely stored, and that stock is monitored especially after use.
• Be responsible for the mailing and distribution of event fundraising materials such as clothing, welcome packs, collections tins, etc.
• Ensure that the fundraising events section of the Leukaemia Care website is up to date, working with the Communications team where necessary to keep existing and potential supporters informed. This includes input into social media information, and the creation of other marketing materials.
• Add Leukaemia Care fundraising event opportunities to external websites and ensure all information posted is correct.
• Help to engage with, steward and thank Leukaemia Care fundraisers both personally, on social media groups, and through the creation and distribution of materials such as Thank You certificates, etc.
• Attend fundraising events in person, including work at events to steward and engage with fundraisers and volunteers, and to set-up and break-down event materials.  This role will require some work outside of normal office hours (evenings and weekends) where fundraising events necessitate.
• Work within the Code of Fundraising Practice as required by the Fundraising Regulator.
• Work within the General Data Protection Regulations ensuring that the charity obtains and record appropriate consents and preferences.
• Provide support to the wider fundraising and administrative team at Leukaemia Care during busy times or during periods of sickness or annual leave.
