AKF(UK) Partnerships Officers are part of the Global Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) Partnerships team tasked with identifying funding partnerships and strengthening existing ones to support our strategic goals. Partnerships Officers manage a set of grants across a variety of themes and geographies. They also support engagement with European and Asian bilaterals, multilaterals and foundations to secure funding for ten multi-sector not-for-profit and forprofit agencies of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) operating across Asia and Africa. This is all done in close collaboration with field units, global teams, and our partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND CORE TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Grants Management
• Manage a portfolio of grants through regular interface and coordination with AKF(UK)’s partnerships team, AKF(UK)’s programme finance team and relevant AKF/AKDN field units/agencies acting as a central resource for field units in donor best practice.
• Interface with donors about the implementation of ongoing grants to ensure strong, enduring relationships.
• Coordinate, review, and assure the quality of donor deliverables (e.g. work plans, monitoring and evaluation plans, staffing plans, budgets, close-out plans, donor troubleshooting).
• Ensure adherence with donor requirements, rules, and regulations, and that grant deliverables are produced on time and to a high standard.
• Coordinate contractual amendments, changes, and project adaptations, engage with donors in a pro-active and diplomatic way, and flag potential changes (e.g. budget revisions, extensions, risks) in advance to ‘trouble shoot’ and ensure smooth project implementation.
• Facilitate grant monitoring efforts including routine coordination meetings and as needed, support with donor steering committees, donor project visits, and donor monitoring missions.
• Undertake coordination and administrative tasks related to grants and support the maintenance and update of grant management tools and tracking systems (e.g. Award Information Management System (AIMS)).
• Ensure strong relationship cultivation throughout the grants cycle, anticipate, and plan for future funding and project extensions.
Mobilising Funds
• Coordinate and facilitate the development, review and quality assurance of expressions of interest, concept notes, and full proposals for funding opportunities.
• Liaise and coordinate with internal stakeholders as well as with donors, partners, and consortia to facilitate project design, align proposal and donor requirements, gather required legal and administrative documentation, and draft sections of proposals as needed.
• Coordinate processes of contracting and negotiation, engaging relevant stakeholders, and ensuring contracts ‘get over the line’ in a timely and efficient way.
• Contribute to management systems, such as AIMS.
Donor engagement and positioning
• Research, scan and source relevant information regarding new donors and partnership opportunities to identify potential funding matches and gather intelligence around European and Asian donors.
Update donor profiles, researching and summarising latest donor strategies and using AIMS to update AKF/AKDN funding summaries.
• Develop positioning materials (e.g. presentations, capability statements, briefs, talking points), collaborating with communications teams, to enable effective donor engagement.
• Guide teams to make informed, effective decisions on which opportunities to pursue (including ‘Go No-Go’ requests).
• Identify and support cultivation of and pre-positioning with partner organisations to form or join consortia focused funding bids.
• Conduct due diligence on new partners in coordination with finance and partnerships teams.
Communicating practical lessons and results
• Engage communications teams to identify opportunities and support the development of content (e.g. social media campaigns, videos) that promote AKF and AKDN’s work and position us as ‘partners of choice’ in the sector.
• Participate in events (e.g. conferences, roundtables, policy forums) to share lessons, innovations and knowledge about our programmes that position us as ‘thought leaders.’

About the role:
The Head of Communications and Brand will oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of WaterAid's communications and brand portfolio, including external communications, media relations, editorial and brand management, digital content development, and public engagement.
This position calls for a high level of collaboration within WAC and the global WaterAid Federation. The Head of Communications and Brand must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively across teams to prioritize conflicting needs and deadlines. As part of a collaborative and fast-paced organization, the Head of Communications and Brand is expected to take initiative and be a creative problem-solver, possess a strong work ethic, take ownership of their work and have high personal expectations. The Head of Communications and Brand will:
- Develop and implement an integrated annual communications plan to advance WAC's brand identity, leverage key activation opportunities, and increase the visibility of the organization across key stakeholder audiences.
- Implement major global campaigns for the Canadian market in coordination with communications leads across WaterAid Federation.
- Plan, execute and manage domestic fundraising communications in coordination with our fundraising team.
- Develop digital content that is integrated with the activities of WAC's Philanthropy, International Programs, and Policy & Advocacy teams.
- Actively seek opportunities to be endorsed by reputable external bodies that recognize sector excellence.
- Develop and maintain updated speaking points and key messages allowing WaterAid to comment on a range of issues that are relevant to the international development and WASH sectors.

About you:
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or another related field.
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in marketing, media relations, and corporate/ nonprofit communications.
- Exceptional communication skills in English, with bilingualism in English and
- French being a strong asset.
- An entrepreneurial and collaborative work ethic. Diplomatic and able to work with teams from around the globe and different time zones.
- Experience of managing external public relations, web development, and other communications vendors.
- An understanding of international development issues.
- Experience working on advocacy plans and execution within the international development/NGO sectors would be a strong asset.

St Christopher’s Hospice was founded in 1967 by Dame Cicely Saunders, and became the first hospice of the modern hospice movement. The fundraising team generates more than £10m every year, around half of which comes through gifts left to the charity as legacies. We organise a programme of appeals, campaigns and events, administer our own lottery, make applications to charitable foundations, engage with local business and support individuals who give in-memory of a loved one. This is delivered by a strong employed fundraising team, supported by a number of wonderful volunteers.
Your new role
We need a dynamic, innovative and driven lottery administrator curious about data, and passionate about using data to solve problems. You will have an excellent knowledge of relational databases and be experienced in importing, selecting, analysing and validating large data sets.
Responsible for all administration of the St Christopher’s monthly lottery, you will help grow our lottery donors with accurate and efficient data entry and timely report production. Working with the Individual Giving Manager you will ensure full compliance with all Gambling Commission and other regulatory regulations.
This is an exciting time to join as you will have the opportunity to work with the wider teams to build supporter journeys to create long-term loyal supporters.
You will be a member of the Individual Giving team focusing on lottery, direct mail, committed giving and in memory donations. You’ll work closely with the wider fundraising, communications and retail teams to ensure supporter engagement is first class at all levels
Some of the main responsibilities of this role include:
- To help us grow our lottery income from £.5m to £1m, using multiple channels: face to face, telemarketing, direct mail, email and paid social.
- Work with colleagues across the fundraising team to support the development of an excellent stewardship strategy, to grow the number of regular donors and lottery players.
- To provide excellent support care to all our donors using the appropriate method of communication and in accordance with their wishes.

We do this through the Parkinson’s Excellence Network (PEN), a network of around 6,000 health and care professionals with a shared vision: to build an expert Parkinson’s workforce and improve health and care services for people with Parkinson’s.
We bring together and support health and care professionals to share best practice, network and collaborate, share resources and education, and drive improvements to services for people with Parkinson’s and their loved ones.
Since its establishment in 2015, the Excellence Network has provided networking and collaboration opportunities for professionals across the different regions of the UK. In England, the Excellence Network is moving to a new regional model aligned to the 7 NHS England regions. The regional model in the devolved nations will remain the same: 3 regions in Scotland, 2 in Wales and 1 in Northern Ireland.
To help us deliver this new regional model, we are looking for a healthcare professional to take on the role of Regional Clinical Lead on a consultancy basis.

What will be expected of you in this role
You’ll:
- Be expected to co-opt a multidisciplinary leadership team to support you in your role. This team should reflect the multi-professional composition of regional services, as well as the geography and should include at least one person with Parkinson's.

- Inspire, challenge and collaborate with the health and social care professional community to drive significant improvements to Parkinson’s services across your region.

- Work closely with the Professional Engagement team at Parkinson’s UK to organise and hold engagement opportunities in your region. This will include working with the team to hold and lead at least one in-person meeting in your region per year.
- Attend the annual in-person PEN National and Regional Clinical Leads meeting.
- Support the PEN national calendar of events through attendance or promotion. This includes Excellence Hub meetings and other activities centred around our national priorities.
- Work closely with the PEN National Clinical Leadership Team (CLT) to discuss and review national and regional priorities. Attend a virtual meeting with CLT 2 times per year.
What expertise you’ll bring
You’ll:
- Be a UK-based clinical healthcare professional, working in Parkinson’s or with extensive interest and expertise in the condition, with exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills. Healthcare professionals living with Parkinson’s are also encouraged to apply.

What you can expect from Parkinson’s UK
You’ll:
- Be formally welcomed and introduced to the Excellence Network and your role as a regional clinical lead.
- Be provided with an introduction pack, which outlines all the activities of the PEN at a national, regional and local level, so that you can gain an understanding of where your role fits in.
- Meet regularly with the Professional Engagement team to discuss and plan activity in your region, working to a co-developed engagement plan for your PEN region. We will be flexible, taking into account your individual needs.
- Meet with the Professional Engagement Lead or Associate Director of Policy & Health Strategy after 6 months in the role for a review meeting and then annually thereafter (or more frequently if required).
- Be provided with a set of resources and information to support you in your role eg. a ready made presentation on the PEN, data from the services within your patch, including relevant data from the UK Parkinson’s Audit.
- Be invited to an annual event for the National and Regional Clinical Leads, to provide updates, training and opportunities for discussion.
A bit more about the opportunity
- Time commitment will be 0.5 days per week (1 programmed activity) to be worked flexibly across the month.
- Monthly rate will be based on skills and experience.
- Term of consultancy services will be set tenure of 3 years from date of appointment, with an option to extend once for a further 3 years.

We are seeking a Domestic Abuse/Sexual violence Practitioner with an emphasis on wellbeing to join our Advocacy team as we continue through the third year of our three-year strategy for 2022-25.
This role requires working in partnership with other London domestic abuse support services, to provide pro-active emotional, practical and advocacy support for autistic adults and adults with learning disabilities, with complex or multiple needs who have experienced any form of domestic abuse/sexual violence.
The role will focus on emotional support to move forward after traumatic and harmful experiences, operating alongside the ISVA Service Manager and Senior ISVA you will be required to devise a programme of wellbeing activities to address other ways to enhance their resilience and wellbeing - working across London to provide non-judgmental, trauma-informed emotional support.
Our ideal candidate will have a friendly and relational approach to working with clients. You will have the ability to build trusting relationships, work in an empowering and inclusive way and support clients to heal following sexual abuse and develop coping capacity. You will be a self-motivated individual who will engage with a wider range of people who have experience sexual violence, and other barriers to justice.

Rainbow Migration, the longest-running charity in Europe dedicated to supporting LGBTQI+ people through the asylum and immigration system, is recruiting a Legal Officer to advise and help improve the representation of LGBTQI+ people seeking asylum and help change the asylum and immigration system to one that treats everyone with compassion, dignity and respect.
We are looking for a qualified solicitor or barrister with valid practising certificate, or already accredited to Level 3 OISC, with two years’ experience in providing advice and representation in asylum including working in legal aid.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the legal advice service. Under the guidance of our Legal Service Manager, you will also build capacity amongst legal representatives by designing and delivering training, giving second tier advice and developing and coordinating a network of practitioners working in this area. You will use the knowledge you gain in this role to help deliver Rainbow Migration’s policy work, such as inputting into policy papers and meeting with partner organisations when required.

Purpose of The role
Habitat GB is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Advocacy to lead our efforts in advocating for policy change within the UK government (in particular targeting the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office) to prioritise housing in international development. As Supporter Care Coordinator you will play a key role in Viva’s Fundraising & Engagement team, building relationships with and providing exceptional supporter care to our donors – including individuals, churches and community groups. Your high level of organisation, strong administrative skills and love of engaging with a variety of people will ensure that Viva’s supporters have an excellent and personalised giving experience. Through all this you will play a vital role in supporting Viva’s core mission of effectively responding to the needs of vulnerable children around the world.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporter engagement – personally engaging with donors by email, letters, phone or in person
- Supporter care administration – ensuring accuracy in reporting and recording donations
- Coordination of Fundraising & Engagement team – supporting team communication and the Director for Fundraising & Engagement in team administration
- Operations and office support – ensuring Viva’s UK office runs smoothly

About the role
As Brand Marketing and Integration Lead, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to convey our brand positioning. In the run up to campaign periods, you will lead a multi-disciplinary pop-up squad of senior colleagues, ensuring that all communications provide an exceptional and coherent audience experience. Your leadership will be crucial in the long-term growth of our brand metrics, supporter base and income.
In this role, you will:
• Spearhead brand marketing activity across paid, owned and earned in order to prime audiences and drive delivery of the organisation's ambitious brand, fundraising and campaigning targets.
• Develop Save the Children's approach to brand marketing and optimise integration with fundraising and campaigning to ensure we are greater than the sum of our parts.
• Head up an internal multi-disciplinary pop-up squad to deliver sector-leading, multi-channel brand advertising with coherent onward journeys.
• Drive relationships with external agencies in media, creative and measurement, guiding and shaping their output so it is as strong as it can be.
• Manage the campaign budget, making recommendations for how to spend the budget wisely to maximise impact.
• Guide, inspire and equip colleagues to represent our brand through their everyday fundraising, media, campaigning and advocacy activities.
• Optimise and develop strategies and frameworks which advance the impact of brand within Save the Children UK.
About you
To be successful, it is important that you have:
• Solid brand expertise with an innate understanding of the value of brand, including purpose, visual identity and personality traits; and a true believer in the power of the long and the short of it.
• Proven track record in developing and delivering brand marketing across multiple channels, achieving effective integration which delivers to several objectives.
• Brilliant relationship builder, able to identify and reconcile the needs of a wide range of stakeholders.
• Strategic mindset, with a laser focus on the vision and success criteria.
• Experience of developing strategies and/ or communication frameworks.
• Demonstrable experience of using insight and analysis to improve brand marketing performance.

Ways of Working:
