We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. Job Description:

Job Purpose: A supporting role within WIP’s Monitoring & Evaluation team with a focus on systems administration, user support, data monitoring and gathering of women’s voices

Key Responsibility Areas

1. Hold responsibility for case management user administration and routine technical support

The Media and Communications Officer leads our day-to-day media work, and supports our major media partnerships and large communications campaigns.This vital work helps us raise the profile of the organisation, build the charity’s reputation as the leading expert on bowel cancer and ultimately reach more people affected by the disease.

You’ll liaise with the media on a daily basis, responding to enquiries, building relationships and researching stories to secure coverage with impact for the charity. You’ll also play a lead role in building up our bank of real-life stories. You’ll talk to supporters and members of the bowel cancer community who are willing to share their experience, and capture their stories for use in our media work.

About this job

The Special Events Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of a busy and varied schedule of events in the final year of the Stop MS Appeal. This position provides administrative and logistical support to ensure the smooth execution of events, contributing to the achievement of the £100m target for MS research. You’ll be working with major donors and collaborating with many teams including philanthropy, corporates and trust.

The role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with strong organisational skills to assist with the preparation, coordination, and post-event follow-up.

Shine’s Health Team provides condition-specific health advice and support to people of all ages with spina bifida, hydrocephalus, NPH or IIH, promoting good self-management and enabling our members to live in optimum health.  The Team also aims to reduce the numbers of pregnancies affected by spina bifida and anencephaly through education around supplementation and fortification with folic acid, and other measures. 

Purpose of Job 

The Shine Nurse Specialist will deliver services and create resources to improve the health of Shine’s members, by informing members, their carers and professionals 

Principal Duties 

• To provide ad hoc advice to Shine’s members, their carers  and professionals on complex health issues, and signpost to NHS services 

• To attend and represent Shine at the Chelsea & Westminster Spina Bifida Clinic (for permanent role)

• To collect information, statistics and research from a variety of sources to inform Shine’s health projects 

• To create resources to inform and support members’ health 

• To develop training/information resources for professionals 

• To plan and deliver projects, events, presentations and information sessions for members and professionals

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Reprieve’s dynamic Development Team to secure vital funding to power our high-impact human rights work. Working across both Reprieve and Reprieve US, you will make a real impact by focusing on Major Donors, corporate partnerships, and events. With proven fundraising experience, you will bring expertise in at least one of these fundraising disciplines. 

Working closely with the Head of Development, you will play a key role in delivering our Major Donor programmes across the UK and US. This includes coordinating stewardship activities for Major Donors and high-profile supporters, as well as assisting in the planning and execution of an exciting events programme – including a high-end art auction planned for the autumn. 

With support from the Head of Development and the Deputy Director, Legal & Governance, you will also contribute to securing new corporate partnerships, and take the lead in preparing accurate and compelling applications, reports, and communications for corporate partners and Trusts & Foundations.

Passionate about Reprieve’s work, you will have a strong commitment to Reprieve’s mission and the ability to communicate this to potential and existing supporters.

You will be highly organised and detailed orientated, with sound judgment, and the ability to build excellent relationships – both with donors, and with colleagues from across the organisation. Length and Salary

This is a full-time role, on a one-year fixed term contract, with the possibility to extend, subject to funding. The annual salary is £42,193 per annum, less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance. 

This role is based in Reprieve’s London office. Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work two days per week from the London office and the rest of the week from home. Applicants must have the current right to work in the UK, which will be checked prior to interview.

Your presence is important during core office hours, whether remotely or in the office. You will also be available outside of office hours in the event of an emergency, for example case developments that require urgent action. This is a role that may require travel and work outside of core office hours from time to time.
