Role Outline
The Head of Fundraising will be instrumental in the instigation, implementation and completion of the Trust’s long term funding strategy. This important role leads on the Trust’s approach to individual giving, legacies, campaigns and community fundraising. The role plays an important part in raising vital unrestricted income and will act as the connection point with our loyal supporters. The role will lead and develop a fundraising team, working closely with the Community and Heritage team and volunteers.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced fundraiser with demonstrable experience at a senior level, with strong communication and relationship building skills.
This is a full-time position on a temporary contract for an initial period of three years, with potential to become a permanent position. Wicksteed Park operates a 40-hour working week, primarily based onsite. Consideration will be given to requests for flexible working.
Salary: £48,000 per annum

FareShare Greater Manchester is the region’s largest food redistribution charity, fighting food poverty and hunger by tackling waste. You'll work with the leadership team to develop and implement a fundraising strategy, researching prospective funders and writing funding bids, reviewing initiatives for individual giving, developing strong relationships with existing funders, producing reports for funders and our Senior Team & Trustees, ensuring the timely completion of all required funder administration and liaising with the wider team to deliver campaigns, events and appeals.
Essential experience includes:
- Experience working in a fundraising role, including experience of prospect research, donor outreach and relationship building.
- Experience raising funds through trusts and foundations.
- Knowledge of using online/digital platforms for fundraising and communication e.g. Just Giving etc.
- Excellent admin skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Solid project management skills in order to manage multiple projects at the same time.
- Able to present and assess data effectively, using it and operational experiences to provide informed opinions and advise managers and other colleagues appropriately.
- Strong level IT competence, including the use of Microsoft Office programmes, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint and databases such as Power BI.
- Numerate with high levels of accuracy.
- Willing to travel in the Greater Manchester area.

At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, we care for children and young people whose lives are just too short. Our aim is to reach every family that needs our help and to offer them the very best choice of care. Did you know that every year we need to raise £6.5m to keep our doors open and only around 16% of our income comes from government sources, the rest has to be raised through fundraising activity.
Our services include short overnight stays and community breaks at home or in the hospice. We also support the whole family from diagnosis with our multi-disciplinary Family Support team who provide counselling, sibling support groups, music therapy and much more. Our care team support these families in our modern, purpose-built building. All our rooms bedrooms have a homely feel. We have a sensory room, spa pool, cinema room and six acres of gardens.
We support families from a large geographical area, including South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire, North Derbyshire and parts of North Lincolnshire. The role:
As our Fundraising Business Partner, you will be at the forefront of our regional fundraising team. You’ll work hand-in-hand with the Income Generation and Communications Director, crafting and implementing innovative, long-term strategies to expand and diversify our income streams. We are looking for a highly motivated Corporate Partnerships Development Lead to play a key role in leading the new business approach for a successful healthcare charity.

Location: Remote (flexible within the UK)
Hours: Part-time, 22.5 hours per week
Contract: Fixed-term (18 months)
Salary: circa £50,000 (pro-rata)

About you:
As the Corporate Partnerships Development Lead, you will drive our efforts to form high-value corporate partnerships across a range of sectors. This is an exciting opportunity to build relationships with businesses that align with the charities vision, from the pharmaceutical industry to the growing wellness and ageing markets. Your focus will be on creating new business opportunities that resonate with the charities mission and developing partnerships that support both their work and the business objectives of their partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a pipeline of corporate partnership prospects, focusing on securing multi-year, high-value commitments.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling partnership proposals.
- Leverage the charities public campaigns and networks to grow business relationships.
- Create engagement opportunities through a mix of events and activities that showcase the impact of our work.
- Pitch, present, and secure corporate partnerships in sectors such as health, wellness, and pharmaceuticals.
- Maintain partnership data and track progress using CRM tools.
- Actively network and represent the organisation at industry events.
Essential skills:
- Proven experience in a corporate partnerships or new business role, ideally within the charity or health sector.
- Track record of securing partnerships worth £50k+.
- Strong communication, presentation, and proposal writing skills.
- Ability to develop and manage a pipeline of partnership opportunities.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to travel within the UK for partner meetings as needed.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience or knowledge of the pharmaceutical sector and its regulations.
- Established network of potential corporate partners.
- Experience with CRM tools such as Microsoft Dynamics.
