We are excited to be recruiting a Marketing Manager (1-Year Maternity Cover) to join our team on a fixed-term contract. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to lead impactful marketing campaigns that drive positive behaviour change. Drinkaware offers hybrid working with a requirement to have at least 2 days a week in our London office.

About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Marketing Manager to support the development and execution of Drinkaware’s marketing campaigns and brand activity across our consumer and funder audiences. This role will focus on our high-profile Drinking Check campaign and other strategic marketing initiatives.

You will lead on the planning, execution, and evaluation of key marketing campaigns, working closely with internal teams and external agencies to ensure maximum impact. If you’re a strategic thinker with experience in digital marketing, campaign management, and stakeholder engagement, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development, execution, and optimisation of Drinkaware’s paid digital marketing campaign, including:
• Creating and managing the digital media plan in collaboration with our digital media agency
• Overseeing campaign budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
• Continuously assessing and optimising campaign performance
• Conducting campaign evaluations to provide learnings and recommendations.
• Support the Senior Marketing Manager in planning and executing strategic marketing campaigns, including setting strategy, budgeting, and evaluating results.
• Work closely with the Partnerships team to strengthen relationships with funders and partners by:
• Attending meetings and supporting funder engagement.
• Developing campaign briefing documents and marketing assets for funders and partners.
• Creating bespoke marketing activities tailored to key funders and evaluating their impact.
• Ensure all marketing activities align with organisational and team objectives.
• Represent Drinkaware externally, acting as a brand ambassador in meetings, presentations, and industry events.
• Provide regular reports on key marketing metrics, campaign impact, and budget spend.

About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering impactful marketing campaigns and has experience in managing audience-focused digital marketing initiatives.

Essential skills and experience:

• At least 5 years’ experience in marketing roles, ideally in the not-for-profit sector
• Proven experience in developing and managing digital marketing campaigns
• Strong expertise in paid digital media planning, execution, and evaluation
• Experience working within brand frameworks to ensure consistency
• Ability to manage budgets, including forecasting and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Google Analytics, marketing platforms, and content management systems
• Excellent project management and organisational skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• A creative, team-oriented individual with a positive, can-do attitude
• A personal commitment to reducing alcohol-related harm

Desirable skills and qualifications:

• A Marketing qualification through CIM, Degree or equivalent
• Project management experience
• Design experience using Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience working in the health or charity sector

What the job involves

As part of the Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand team, you’ll support the Head of Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Branding by directing the Business Partnering team, and developing and embedding our Business Partnering model.

You’ll partner with senior leaders and product owners to act as a supportive enabler of their communications objectives, and ensuring they’re actively engaged in the development of communications strategies, objectives and plans. A major part of the role will be enabling the integration of activity into the wider communications plan to enhance results from our communications.

You’ll guide the planning process for projects and campaigns to build awareness of risk, tackle health inequalities and improve outcomes for all men affected by and at risk of prostate cancer. As part of this role, you’ll also be managing a team of two.

Please note this role is known internally as Senior Communications Business Partner (HSEI & Research).

In this role you’ll be leading a new team of Business Partners and a Communications Planning Manager to ensure Prostate Cancer UK’s communications are well-planned, integrated (where appropriate), and effective. That means you’ll need a strong understanding of high-impact communications business partnering and planning, using an agile, flexible, and fast-paced approach.

You’ll also excel at building trust and connections with community groups, ideally with experience in reaching, engaging, and activating high-risk communities.

Prior experience and knowledge of devising and delivering big multi-channel campaigns – including PR, social media, communications and marketing would be an asset. You’ll be a strategic influencer who understands how positive, coordinated relationship management drives performance alongside an outstanding communicator – who’s confident and good at communicating complex technical information to general audiences.

What the job involves

This is a unique chance to play a pivotal role in driving impactful external communication strategies that support Individual Giving and Events and Community Fundraising. As a key player in the Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand team, you’ll enable the integration of mass fundraising activities into wider organisational communications, inspiring action to fund life-saving initiatives that help men navigate prostate cancer.

Supporting the Head of Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand in embedding and developing our Business Partnering model. A major part of the role will be enabling the integration of Mass Fundraising activity into the wider communications plan to enhance results from our communications.

You’ll guide the planning process for projects and campaigns to grow fundraising revenue, support our community and improve outcomes for all men affected by and at risk of prostate cancer.

You’ll have proven expertise in communications business partnering, with experience in mass or public fundraising. Working within our Strategic Communication team, you’ll have a strong understanding of campaign planning tools like OASIS and a solid grasp of PR, social media, and integrated marketing strategies. You’ll be an exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences in particular mass fundraising engagement.

As natural collaborator, you’ll have skills in influencing, coaching and motivating teams to achieve ambitious results within project management.

Diabetes UK’s award-winning Media Team plays a vital role in helping make life better for people living with diabetes, or those at risk of developing the condition. We secure high-profile coverage in national, regional, consumer and trade press that talks frankly about the diabetes crisis and the seriousness of diabetes. As Media Manager you’ll be part of a busy, high-performing team responsible for the promotion of our work across a range of areas, including research, policy and campaigns, and fundraising. We are currently looking for a PR Campaigns Manager to join and support our team in the delivery of dynamic and engaging creative PR and social media campaigns. In this exciting position, you will help us shine a spotlight on the good causes funded thanks to National Lottery’s players through a variety of creative storytelling-lead campaigns.

The Role

The National Lottery Promotions Unit is seeking an experienced PR Campaigns Manager (14 month contract) to develop and implement creative campaigns, strengthening awareness of National Lottery Good Causes and connecting with target audiences.

In 2025-26, the NLPU will run a series of high-impact, nationwide campaigns demonstrating The National Lottery’s ability to change lives everyday. From developing sporting heroes to changing communities to investing our rich heritage, The National Lottery has an abundance of stories to tell of the difference our players make to the UK. 

• You will help us connect our target audiences with The National Lottery brand making it feel relevant to them.  You will have strong skills developing and managing creative PR campaigns across multiple channels.  You will set and deliver against KPIs, informed by data and analytics.
•  You will advance the NLPUs external voice through innovation and staying relevant with trends and best practices. You will proactively take advantage of relevant external opportunities.

A dynamic approach to relationship management will be essential in order to influence stakeholders across the whole National Lottery Family, ensuring an aligned and stronger National Lottery voice. An important part of this role will be your ability to engage and influence stakeholders as part of our National Lottery Open Week campaign. This annual campaign will see you working with National Lottery funded organisations across the UK to involve them in the campaign.

The PR Campaigns Manager will work with PR agencies, media partners, talent, photographers, film makers, evaluation providers, research companies, content creators and other suppliers to deliver high quality work, within budget and set timescales. You will develop and nurture positive relationships with journalists across all media, including national and local newspapers, consumer publications, radio, TV and online.

Essential Criteria

• Related experience and success in, planning, and delivering PR campaigns for a range of audiences in a multi-channel environment.
• Evidence of gaining high quality media coverage through national and local media outlets, with established relationships with journalists and media outlets.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle operational delivery with strategic thinking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to think creatively and to encourage others to.
• Experience managing stakeholder relationships including influencing and negotiation at a senior level
• A can-do attitude and proactive mindset with demonstrable experience of being able to work well under your own steam as well as part of a team
• An understanding of analytical skills to help inform PR strategy, as well as good grounding in consumer media consumption
• Strong networking skills and ability to build good working relationships both internally and externally.

Key terms and conditions

Salary: £40,976 per annum pro rata. 

Hours: This is a 0.8% FTE permanent post with a 28-hour week. 

Holidays: 25 days per annum pro rata, plus bank holidays, increasing by one day per year of service to a maximum of 30 days.

About the role

The Campaigns Manager will shape and lead our campaigning and communications work, supporting our network of grassroots volunteer campaigners across the country, ensuring that grassroots advocacy is at the heart of what we do. You will be an expert at developing and managing campaigns and communications and supporting volunteer networks, with excellent written English, and proven experience ensuring that written and visual communications and digital outreach contribute to our organisational advocacy work. The post-holder will line-manage the Campaigns and Communications Officer.

This role is available 4 days per week on a permanent basis and will provide good opportunities for further developing your leadership of campaigns and public advocacy, and using your communications expertise to contribute to lasting advocacy success. We are looking for candidates with experience of and passion for engaging members of the public in international development advocacy, and for overcoming poverty, inequality and oppression. 

Key responsibilities

Campaigning and network support

• Lead the development and delivery of our monthly grassroots campaign actions, to gain demonstrable public support for specific advocacy asks, identifying targets and effective tactics for reaching them.
• Ensure our grassroots network continues to thrive, and adapt our support model to changing external circumstances, putting volunteer-led campaigning at the heart of Results’ advocacy.
• Support and broaden the grassroots network, including outreach and onboarding activities, providing personalised support to our active campaigners, and providing resources, information and advocacy opportunities that enable them to grow as advocates and leaders and to achieve their own advocacy goals.
• Work closely with colleagues in the Parliamentary Advocacy and Policy Advocacy Teams, leading on the development of campaigns and communications programmes that contribute to organisational advocacy strategies.
• Identifying effective partnerships where appropriate to maximise our impact.
• Manage the delivery of events including monthly grassroots conference calls and the annual Results National Conference and other advocacy events and training sessions.

Communications and media

• Line-manage the Campaigns and Communications Officer, supervising Results’ communications programme including campaign materials and newsletters, social media, our website, and resources and publications that deliver powerful advocacy messages and strengthen our brand.
• Oversee media activity and ensure appropriate sign-off for Results’ public communications and media work, to manage reputational risk and ensure political neutrality, quality control and brand compliance.
• Mentor colleagues, including by running training sessions and providing expert communications advice, to ensure that Results’ communications reflect our values, give voice to the experiences of people living with poverty and inequality, and advance our work to end injustice, exclusion and oppression.
• Represent Results in various public coalitions and platforms, acting as a spokesperson where needed.

Organisational management and development

• Alongside other line managers, ensure the consistent application of Results’ policies and procedures, with a focus on effective performance management, staff development and wellbeing.
