We are looking for a new team member to provide full administrative and programme support to the Employment & Careers team. The role will involve supporting the team in the day to day running of the service including the preparation of contract documentation (such as registration forms, as well as specified supporting evidence: ID proofs, Proofs of Address etc.) for submission to funding partners, uploading data spreadsheets and CMS systems, and supporting the team with promotion, outreach and engagement of our services. This includes conducting follow-ups and answering queries (by phone, email and in person) from both current and prospective participants on the programmes being delivered by High Trees. We are recruiting a General Advice Officer to support with the delivery of advice and welfare support to guests who access Sufra’s Food Bank, Community Kitchen and the Community Wellbeing Project. Purpose of the Job
The Dad Matters coordinators deliver a range of universal and targeted interventions aimed at male parents in the First 1001 Days. They support dads and other male carers with attachment and bonding, mental health and access to service. They also work with professionals and perinatal services to ensure dads and male carers are engaged, supported and heard within clinical pathways.

The post holder will:

• Build on the Home-Start Haringey, Hackney and Waltham Forest foundation of peer support by engaging and supporting dads in one to one and group situations.
• Ensure that parent – infant relationships are a thread through every relationship and conversation with dads.
• Raise awareness of the risks of poor mental health for fathers and their families during the perinatal period
• Raise awareness of the impact on fathers of caring for a partner affected by perinatal mental health issues 
• Develop the Dad Matters volunteer role
• Develop close links with other health and voluntary agencies
• Facilitate regular consultation with fathers through outreach and focus groups

Main Responsibilities

Support to Dads

The post holder will provide individual and group support to dads during the perinatal period.  This will involve the following: 

• Meeting dads at ante-natal clinics
• Facilitating or co-facilitating ante-natal Dad Chats in person and online
• Supporting the developments of support offered to dads with children on NICU and those with partners in receipt of care from Perinatal Mental Health teams, Adult Mental Health, IAPT and Parent Infant Mental Health teams
• Signposting and supporting access to other services as appropriate
• Undertake designated responsibilities to safeguard and promote children’s welfare
• Ensure equality of opportunity, fairness and diversity in all aspects of work
• Facilitate regular consultation with fathers in order to ensure that all resources are targeted appropriately

Promotion & Awareness Raising:

• Maintain up-to-date information for dads and make this available through the Dad Matters website and a range of social media

• Engage dads through social media, self-referral and email.
• Ensure the integrity of the Dad Matters Brand when engaging dads and professionals.

Recruiting & Managing Volunteers – this will involve:

• Promoting, developing and delivering volunteer recruitment campaigns
• Recruiting, selecting and preparing suitable volunteers

• Arranging and co-ordinating volunteer activity in person and online
• Providing support and supervision for volunteers engaged in working with dads

• To provide further training for Home-Start Haringey, Hackney and Waltham Forest home visiting volunteers as appropriate

Monitoring & Evaluation:

• Support the evaluation of the impact of Dad Matters
• Ensure accurate and relevant record keeping and data collection

Working in Partnership

• Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with key health partners, including those from Parent Infant Mental Health teams, Midwifery, IAPT, Perinatal Teams,  Adult Mental Health, Health Visiting and other VCSE groups
• Networking appropriately within the community
• Delivering/co-delivering training to multi-agency colleagues as appropriate

BACKGROUND

The External Communications Officer forms part of the Communications and Engagement Directorate, reporting into the Senior External Communications Manager. Given the growth of the Institute, the external communications officer would join a busy team in a vibrant and energetic communications and marketing department. The postholder manages a wide portfolio of projects, announcements and collaborations, working with stakeholders and partner organisation at the local, national and international level. The External Communications Officer will provide proactive comms planning and project management, media support, advice and expertise on matters relating to the Institute’s external communications.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

We’re seeking a candidate with strong written & oral communication skills and demonstrable experience of collaborating with peers & technical experts to create engaging, insight driven communication plans. You should have strong knowledge of current communication industry trends and experience in working with the media in a press office or communications environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with liaising and influencing a diverse range of stakeholders and be able to work flexibly whilst managing a varied workload to tight deadlines.

DUTIES AND AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

External communications

• Support priority Turing projects (such as our grand challenges) by being a key contact point for research teams, providing trusted advice and working with your colleagues in the wider comms and engagement directorate to create and deliver related communications plans
• Create content for the organisation’s social media and website
• Sourcing, writing or editing accurate and creative content such as newsletter articles, blogs, case studies, researcher spotlights or briefing documents
• Deputise for the Senior External Communications Manager where required

Media relations

• Monitor media coverage and prepare regular evaluation reports
• Coordinate media activities, arranging spokespeople for interviews, attending press conferences and preparing necessary briefings

• Ensure timely response to media enquiries, manage shared inbox and occasionally be on--call when required

The Director of Finance is responsible for the efficient and effective leadership and management of the Gallery’s finance, governance and commercial activities. With scrupulously high standards, they will drive the quality and transparency of financial management and reporting, ensuring robust financial controls and the smooth running and management of the Gallery’s finances. A key member of the senior leadership team, the Director of Finance contributes to shaping and implementing the Gallery’s strategic development.

Candidates will be able to demonstrate a proven ability in leadership and financial control within a complex organisation, managing people and limited resources effectively, delivering results, thinking strategically and inspiring and motivating others. New Horizon Youth Centre has been commissioned by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) as part of an Alliance with Safer London, St Giles Trust and the Anna Freud Centre to deliver on their Children and Young People’s Violence and Exploitation and Reduction support service. The commission will run from June 2024 for three years. As part of this, an additional service will be set up within the NHYC Youth Justice team specifically to deliver on the Alliance contract. This will include a team of Housing Caseworkers who will carry out assessments and advocacy work with young people under 25 who are fleeing violence and exploitation, in order to move them on successfully into both emergency and long-term housing options. You should be passionate about working with this client group, able to manage a fast-moving caseload, and committed to working collaboratively with a team across multiple services.

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Refuge Worker. You will be responsible for providing high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic violence and their children living in our refuges.
