CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.
We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.
Breast cancer does not need to be detected late, and as long as we are here and continue to be supported by people like you, we will do all we can to make sure this doesn’t continue to happen.
About the role
It’s been an exciting year for the CoppaFeel! Marketing team; we’ve had a brand refresh, onboarded new agencies, launched award winning campaigns and grown a partnership with Love Island. And it’s all been in the name of our mission; to ensure all breast cancers are diagnosed early and accurately in young people.
We are looking for an exceptional Head of Marketing to lead our Marketing team, help shape the direction of and oversee our 2025 campaign, and collaborate with other Heads of Departments to deliver CoppaFeel!’s three year organisational strategy.
This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office 2 days per week. You will be required to attend the office for quarterly team meetings, department meetings and in person training, we will provide plenty of notice for when you are required to be in for these purposes.
Duties and Responsibilities

Purpose of the role
We are looking for a creative, organised, and disciplined person to take on a key role within our rapidly expanding organisation. As the Communications and Digital Officer, you will be central in the implementation of Black Thrive Global’s communications strategy. You will be supporting our Communications Manager in the delivery of all aspects of communications and marketing activity with both key stakeholders and the public.

Duties and responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:
- Contribute to advocacy for the global communications strategy with TM leaders and teams across our regions, ensuring it is implemented consistently.
- Engage and rally communications colleagues working in our regional teams to support the implementation of our global communications strategy wherever we work.
- Assess where capacity globally is lacking and help to build capacity where it is needed to realise the organisation’s global communications strategy, through training, mentorship and other forms of support.
- Participate in annual strategy review, with a view to optimising alignment with key brand objectives.
- Take ownership of international media enquiries and act as an advisor to the senior team and regional comms departments, in relation to press interest or opportunities.
- Foster appropriate media and press relationships and partnerships to promote the work of the organisation Mountain around the world.
- Using the global communications strategy, lead review and update of our key global digital communications channels and platforms, including the website, social media and newsletters.
- Review communications procedures and brand guidelines across the countries the organisation is active in, and work with in-country communications teams and management to update or create new procedures and guidelines in line with TM’s global strategy.
About You
We are looking for a Communications Manager with natural leadership qualities and an ability to build teams, whether directly under their management or within the wider organisation. You must have the ability, experience and judgement to work autonomously where required.
Key skills required for this role:
- Experience in a generalist communications role within a complex multi-national organisation.
- Experience in leading the implementation of a communications strategy.
- Demonstrable experience of high-quality copywriting in an organisation with complex messaging, and multiple diverse audiences.
- Experience writing, producing and managing social media strategies. Organic and paid.
- Experience in building press relationships and the ability to advise the senior team on how to manage press interest.

You’re also used to optimising and reviewing campaigns and aren’t afraid to share both failures and successes. You’ll be highly collaborative, flexible and diplomatic in your approach to managing internal and external stakeholders to deliver results.
What’s more, you excel in analysis and intelligent use of data, are great at utilising insight, including the motivations, interests and behaviours of supporters to guide decisions and have a demonstrated knowledge of project management and development, and will be able to manage multiple projects at once.

What will your typical day involve?

Who are we looking for?
