This is a new role in our Participation Team to help us deliver work that amplifies the voices of people with lived experience to find solutions to homelessness and health inequalities. The post holder will lead a few projects and partnerships, with responsibility for planning and delivering activities and monitoring their progress.

Some examples of current projects are:

• Coordinating and supporting a group of six people with lived experience to co-design an immersive audio story and campaign to improve the health of people living in temporary accommodation in London. 

• Working with the City of London Corporation to embed meaningful co-production practices in their homelessness services; bringing people with experience of homelessness, frontline staff, and commissioners together to improve service design and delivery. 

Your main task will be to coordinate groups of people with lived experience of homelessness and health inequalities, alongside Groundswell peers and colleagues, services, local authorities, funders and policymakers.

We are looking for someone with great interpersonal skills who can comfortably engage with different stakeholders. You will be well-organised, self-motivated, and confident facilitating groups to co-create positive change.

We are looking for a passionate Health Coordinator to lead our efforts in improving healthcare access, preventing homelessness, and supporting public health initiatives in the community.

The Health Coordinator will play a key role in connecting people to essential healthcare services, strengthening early intervention work, and supporting community-led public health initiatives. The role will also focus on homelessness prevention and ensuring that people face challenges with housing, mental health, and substance use receive the right support at the right time.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in public health, healthcare coordination, or homelessness support who is committed to addressing health inequalities in Greenwich.

Key Responsibilities

1. Access to healthcare and preventive support

• Implement a pre-treatment approach across all WSUP’s activities, ensuring that people who are not yet ready to engage with formal healthcare services receive support and information, including harm reduction, peer mentorship and stabilisation services.
• Link people to healthcare providers, mental health services and addiction recovery programs.
• Monitor preventative care initiatives, including TB and Hepatitis C screenings, to promote early detection and intervention.
• Lead public health campaigns to increase awareness, challenge stigma and promote access to healthcare.
• Develop partnerships with GPs, the Rough Sleeping Health Working Group and local health teams to coordinate care and share resources.
• Use data-driven insights to identify gaps in services and advocate for improved health provision.

2. Prevent homelessness

• Implement a casework framework to support people at risk of homelessness.
• Develop referral pathways with GP practices to ensure healthcare professionals can refer people at risk of housing instability.
• Collaborate with housing organisations and local authorities to secure rapid interventions for those facing homelessness.
• Monitor and evaluate outcomes using the In-Form Community Case Management System (CMS) to improve service effectiveness.

3. Strengthen volunteer and safeguarding capacity

• Recruit, train and mentor Peer Support Volunteers, ensuring they are equipped to provide outreach and advocacy.
• Ensure strong safeguarding practices across all health and homelessness prevention initiatives.
• Engage with the community to shape WSUP's health programs based on lived experiences and local needs.
• Build long-term capacity, embedding Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) and Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE) into WSUP’s services.

Person Specification

Essential skills & experience

• Experience working in healthcare (non-clinical), public health, social work, or homelessness services.
• Strong knowledge of health inequalities, mental health challenges and addiction recovery pathways.
• Experience implementing pre-treatment approaches or harm reduction models in community settings.
• Ability to develop and manage partnerships with healthcare providers and local services.
• Experience working with people experiencing homelessness, poverty, or addiction.
• Strong data management skills, ideally with experience using case management systems (e.g., In-Form CMS).
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and empower individuals with lived experience.

Main duties of the job

As part of the Legacy & Community Engagement team, which generates over half of Brooke’s income (approximately £13.5 million per year), you will play a vital role in deepening relationships with some of our most committed supporters those who choose to leave a gift in their Will.

This role will be focused on growing and retaining our legacy community by inspiring more supporters to include a gift to Brooke in their Will, while nurturing and stewarding those who already have. Main Responsibilities:

• Physical fitness, tha ability to stand for long periods, and move stock. Able-bodied, owing to the physical demand of the role. 
• Good IT skills, with a working knowledge of MS Office applications. 
• Highly organised, methodical and a good multitasker. 
• A team player, and able to work once a week in the evening on our monthly rota and on the occassional Saturday. 

Desirable knowledge/expertise

About the Role

This is a new and critical function within our senior management team at North London Open Spaces. We are looking for an entrepreneurial, hands-on leader who will drive fundraising, income generation, strategic partnerships, marketing, and community engagement across our portfolio of green spaces.

Following a 3-month probation period, you will transition to a fixed-term contract. Upon successful completion of this term, you will be offered a permanent employment contract. A minimum salary of £39,695.24 gross (our salary base for people resident in the UK) will apply from the beginning of the probationary period. The salary base may change due to your previous experience related to the position, or your experience in animal advocacy (+3% for each year). In addition, the salary increases with your seniority in Open Cages according to the following model:

+ 7% – for every year worked at Open Cages during the first 5 years of work

About your role

We are a small and ambitious early-stage organisation with two full-time team members. Our current objective: to help the 1 billion chickens raised annually in the UK. By joining us as a campaigner who focuses on communications, you will work on the frontlines by shining a light on the hidden suffering of animals trapped on factory farms, and mobilising the public to take action. Your first task will be to help us convince the UK’s largest food businesses to improve their chicken welfare policies, primarily through crafting media stories and marketing campaigns that capture the hearts and minds of the public.

While this may sound challenging, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make a historic change for those who cannot stand up for themselves. Someone has to pick up the fight, and we hope it will be You.

There may also be certain areas where you are stronger than others, and we are open to fitting the role around you. We are looking for a generalist rather than a specialist. • Take risks – negotiating in a high stakes meeting, attending a farming conference, organising a protest, taking hundreds of videos of a retailer’s chicken products for a BBC story (yes, we did this!) – in this role you will need to be comfortable with stepping out of your comfort zone.
• Conduct research – you will spend many hours online gathering information, working with investigators and lawyers, or delivering chicken products to a lab in Germany (we did this too).
• Create marketing content – you will produce graphics and videos for social media, and utilise marketing tools to reach millions of people.
• Work with the media – you will engage with journalists, write press releases, pitch stories and be animals’ voice on the radio and TV.
• Mobilise advocates – you will write emails to our supporters and motivate them to take action with us. You will also organise and run street actions like protests and stunts.
• Connect with diverse audiences – you will need to talk about the suffering of animals to very different groups of people that compose our society. To do that effectively, you will need to understand their perspective and be a good, empathetic communicator.
• Ask for support – you will help us fundraise to increase our impact.

Magpas Air Ambulance are looking for a driven and organised Challenges and Events Officer to join our Corporate, Community and Events Team. This is a key income-generating role, responsible for the planning, promotion, and delivery of a portfolio of challenge and fundraising events – including third-party, virtual and flagship events.

The postholder will work closely with colleagues and external partners to deliver exceptional supporter experiences that inspire participation, encourage fundraising, and maximise income for the charity.

You’ll need solid project management skills, strong supporter stewardship instincts, and a good understanding of how digital channels can be used to recruit, engage, and motivate fundraisers.

While you’ll be supported by our Digital Fundraising Officer, you’ll be responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive marketing and recruitment plan – combining digital campaigns with in-person promotion and outreach at events and through partner networks.

This role would suit someone with some experience working on charity challenge events who is ready to take the next step in their career – bringing their knowledge, creativity and energy to a role where they can work with autonomy, ownership and impact.

Role Summary:

• Lead the planning, promotion and delivery of a portfolio of fundraising challenge events, including third-party, virtual and flagship activities
• Create and deliver inspiring supporter journeys that encourage participation, increase fundraising and build long-term engagement
• Develop digital-led recruitment and marketing plans, working closely with our Digital Fundraising Officer and wider communications team
• Deliver excellent project and event management, from logistics and risk management to supplier liaison and on-the-day delivery
• Use data and insight to monitor event performance, optimise campaigns and grow income year on year

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven experience in organising or supporting fundraising or challenge events
• A track record of achieving income targets and maximising fundraising potential
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence engaging supporters and stakeholders
• An understanding of digital marketing tools and a willingness to contribute to digital content and campaigns
