Job Title: People Advisor

Salary on appointment: £26,360 - £34,629 per annum*
*This role sits within a pay grade with a pay range of £26,360 to £41,540. The salary on appointment will be set at the lower end of the pay range, to a maximum of £34,629, depending on the candidate's skills and experience. This approach aims to ensure fair compensation for new hires while maintaining alignment with the structured pay scale for the role.

Purpose of Role
The People Advisor role will pay a pivotal role in delivering the People Plan at the Ramblers and creating a truly great place to work.
The role holder will support projects, activities and administration related across the whole employee life cycle at the Ramblers – actively engaging in the attraction, recruitment, development and retention of talent.
The role will also support the delivery of our business outcomes through a data-led approach to people decision-making.
Key responsibilities
Lead on all People processes, and administration required to maintain a high performing People team.
Proactively manage all data in our People systems, ensuring complete accuracy
Providing first line advice to employees on general people policies and queries and escalate complex issues to the Head of People Experience
Support People projects that drive the delivery of our strategic ambitions
Recruitment and Onboarding
Management of our application tracking platform to attract key talent
Work closely with managers to complete all required documentation.
Provide recruiting teams with training and support throughout the recruitment process.
Liaise with agencies and social media platforms to ensure we are optimising recruitment channels.
Deliver a great recruitment experience in conjunction with key stakeholders across the Ramblers.
Provide a great onboarding experience for all new starters and ensure all documentation and checks are completed timely manner.
Ensure all staff are correctly added to our People systems and provided with appropriate training.
Performance Management and Development
Facilitate the processing of probationary reviews in a timely manner, including the completion of required documentation.
Support managers and staff with our Performance Management and Development process.
Ensure compliance training has been completed in a timely manner.
Liaise with external providers to co-ordinate the delivery of the Rambles training and development plan.
Management of our learning platform
Staff Engagement
Support the co-ordination of our staff surveys and action plans.
Promote programmes that promote wellbeing and staff engagement.
Co-ordinate stay and exit interviews.
Contractual
Ensure all absence management is managed in a timely manner, recorded appropriately on the People system and associated documentation has been completed.
Ensure contractual changes are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
Responsible for the collation, preparation and checking of payroll information not limited to all new starter/ leaver information, pay changes, position changes etc, for submission to payroll for processing.
Maintain good knowledge and understanding of all relevant policies and procedures relevant to the role and keep up to date with employment legislation.

The Person
Knowledge and Experience
Experience of working in a HR generalist or advisor role in a fast-paced business
Experience and a keen interest in cloud-based People systems and Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Strong organisation skills and the ability to balance multiple demands.
Experience of co-ordinating payroll
Ability to maintain confidential information and treat sensitive matters appropriately.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy of data management
Ability to work collaboratively at all levels across the Ramblers and with external agencies.
Understanding of employment legislation and how it applies to the Ramblers.
Part qualified or interest in pursuing the CIPD qualification.

Mencap have an exciting opportunity in Our Active Community programme for a Community Partner to work across two coastal communities - Worthing (Sussex) and Thanet (Kent)
This role is a combination of working out in the local communities and being home based. It is a full time (37.5 hrs per week) fixed term contract until April 2027. We are happy to be flexible with working patterns so let us know if you would like to discuss job share or part-time opportunities.
We are looking for someone with knowledge of the sport and wellbeing sector, who enjoys getting people active within communities and has the mindset for community-led ways of working. Working alongside Sport England as a System Partner, Mencap’s vision is for people with learning disabilities, and the communities in which they live, to be more physically active, happy and healthy. The successful candidate will join an existing team of four Community Partners who are working in seven other communities across England to help us achieve this vision.
As a Community Partner you will work collaboratively with people from Worthing and Thanet to develop the capacity of these communities. You will ensure the work is co-produced with the community and especially by people with a learning disability. You will help unite people around a shared vision and goals, create a development plan and support the creation of new ideas and local solutions to enable more active communities. These solutions will build on existing strengths and address local priorities.
You will have the benefit of working with a range of stakeholders who are already engaged in this way of working in both Worthing and Thanet, maintaining these relationships while also cultivating new ones. You will need to communicate easily and effectively with people from different backgrounds connecting with them and facilitating partnership work. You will work alongside Community Connectors, who will have a learning disability, and who will live in the communities you are working in.
Day to day, you can expect to be out and about in the communities and to be desk-based, capturing what we are learning and supporting the wider development of this national capacity-building programme. Working across two communities you will be great at managing your time and willing to travel as and when required. You will collaborate as part of the Community Partner team regularly.

Job Description
Working as a qualified Teacher within a Study Programme contract, you will deliver Functional Skills maths and English qualifications.
This will be from all Entry levels up to and including level 2, within our college site for students aged 16-18 years.
Main duties include:
- To lead on the production of schemes of work for the service delivery
- To prepare and develop innovative lesson plans, design and deliver group activities
- Deliver training to individual young people and groups following the programme curriculum, setting objectives and targets for achievement
- To diagnose learners literacy, numeracy and ICT needs and requirements by using various teaching aids
- To liaise with relevant team members to ensure learners achieve their targets and progress into appropriate outcomes
- To provide appropriate encouragement, guidance and support to learners to help them progress

We're looking for a motivated Marketing Executive to join our team.

We require Care Coordinators who will complement the existing team through an enhanced passion and commitment to the delivery of high-quality patient services and to the wider agenda of team working.

The purpose of this role is to support the Digital Communications Manager in promoting, strengthening and protecting the reputation of the Academy by delivering and evaluating short- and long-term digital campaigns across key communications channels that engage and influence new and existing audiences.
You will achieve this by creating high-quality, engaging written and visual content that is on brand and optimised for different audiences and digital channels used by the Academy including social media channels (LinkedIn, X, Instagram, YouTube and Bluesky), email, and our website. You will work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners, including influential UK and international medical researchers as well as patients, carers and the public, to help shape our work.
You will strive for excellence to develop an understanding of the Academy’s audiences and an ability to tell impactful stories in a compelling way. You will be agile in how you work on multiple long- and short-term projects and will work well under pressure to meet short deadlines.
You will behave with integrity to build effective relationships quickly, developing trust as you collaborate widely with colleagues, digital content creators, biomedical scientists and peers from partner Academies, charities, universities and government bodies, both national and international. Key Details
