Location: Leatherhead in Surrey, with some working from home and within the community across Surrey

Salary: Circa £40,000

 As Care Operations Manager, you will have full oversight of the daily operations of the organisation, and will work to maximise the number of carers supported in Surrey/care hours delivered, and ensure the charity is fully compliant in line with regulatory guidance and legislation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and leading the team of Senior Service Managers.
• Working with the Head of Care Operations and Registered Manager to ensure compliance and safe ways of working.
• Establishing and maintaining effective 360 communication with the operations, training and compliance and contracts team to ensure a robust approach to quality and contractual obligations.
• Working with the Fundraising, Marketing and Communications team to ensure clear direction for fundraising and grants.
• Liaising with finance to ensure clear reporting and maintenance of budget allocation.
• Producing reports outlining the performance of the care team for submission in the Quality Assurance and Compliance Group.
• Growing and developing services within the care team through increasing delivered hours in accordance with the Surrey County Council Contracts.

The successful candidate will have minimum NVQ 5 in Leadership/Management in Health & Social Care or transferrable qualification in a similar discipline, e.g., Higher Education Certificate/BTEC (Care Management, Business Management etc). Previous organisational leadership and line management experience in a care setting, including rostering and completing observations and supervisions is vital, alongside the ability to develop excellent working relationships with team members, carers and people with care and support needs, while maintaining appropriate personal boundaries.

The Role

We are seeking a Schools Premises Officer to provide an effective and efficient administrative service to approximately 100 schools and ODBE in respect of the delivery of capital projects and property management. 

This is a key role which will involve working with many different stakeholders across the Diocese, including external consultants, Head teachers, bursars, school business managers, Governing Bodies and their representatives.

About You

You do not need to be a practising Christian or have a faith to work here. Around 50% of staff are not practising Christians but are comfortable with the Christian ethos that underpins the organisations work. However, all staff do have a desire to make a difference.

You will need to have excellent communication skills and ability to deal with people at all levels to gain trust and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders.

You will have project management experience including co-ordinating contracts to ensure they are carried out within costs, on time, and to the correct quality level.

Due to the nature of the role you must have access to a vehicle for work purposes and be able to travel across the diocese area within Oxford.

Without donations, Little Hearts Matter would not be able to offer our services, free of charge, to support individuals and families across the UK. We do not receive any government funding for our work. Our fundraising team is essential to raising these vital funds—over £440,000 annually. In your first three months, you will get to know the charity well and figure out who our current supporters are. About Little Hearts Matter

Little Hearts Matter (LHM) is a national charity with over 7000 members. We are the only charity in the UK that offers support and information to, and represents the needs of, children and families following a diagnosis of single ventricle heart disease (half a working heart). These congenital cardiac conditions can never be cured, even following repeated surgery, so the children must learn to live within the restrictions that their disability and fears for their future create.

Little Hearts Matter is there from the time parents learn of their child’s condition, through risk-filled treatment into a challenged-filled life at home. LHM is there to support the children, and their families, through their hopes and aspirations and the gradual realisation that they will never have the same life as their peers. Our aims are to:

Alleviate isolation by offering support, friendship and understanding from the time a diagnosis is made, through treatment decisions, hospital care and into life at home, eventually introducing parents and patients to other families who have similar experiences and shared concerns helping them to build a network of support.

Reduce fear by offering patients, parents, siblings, and the extended family a greater opportunity to understand the diagnosis and treatment paths available.

Reduce confusion and a lack of understanding by producing and supplying for free, user focused information that supports and aids understanding from the time of diagnosis, through treatments and into life at home.

Specific areas of responsibility

Working as part of the fundraising team, the Fundraising Manager will:  

• Be responsible for their own portfolio of supporters, maintaining and growing income, regularly forecasting income and expenditure against agreed targets (circa. £200,000+ annually)
• Proactively manage and grow relationships with diverse corporate and community supporters, delivering tailored propositions where appropriate, providing excellent relationship management to maximise their impact and long-term engagement.
• Build excellent working relationships with regional partners, supporters, and volunteers, to maximise the impact of their own fundraising and identify new opportunities through their networks.

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Store Manager to join Barnardo's on a full time, permanent basis.

As a Store Manager you will manage the day to day running of our Flint Store, leading a team of colleagues to maximise store sales and profits. By doing so you will play a crucial role in raising the funds for the amazing services and support Barnardo's provides for children, young people, parents, and carers across the UK.

Working Pattern: As the store is open 7 days a week, the successful post holder will be required to work 5 days out of 7 (total of 35 hours per week) on a rota basis which will include weekend, evening, and bank holiday working.

• Ensuring stock is generated over the door by members of the public and donors sign up to the Gift Aid scheme.
• Ensure that the high standard of service to customers that is expected by Barnardo's is maintained at all times.

Reporting to the Chairman and Trustees, the appointed candidate will play a leading role in turning that aspiration into reality at this volunteer-staffed site.

Nantgarw China Works is where the world’s finest porcelain was made 200 years ago. Today it is an independent museum telling the history of ceramic production at the site, a working pottery where the lost recipe for making the historic porcelain has been successfully recreated, and an educational institution offering some 500 workshop sessions every year. The remains of the historic works are the best preserved in Wales and of UK importance.

Although the initial appointment is for 18 months, we hope that the appointee can be considered for a permanent position.

To manage the day to day running of our South Manchester volunteer service, offering support to people living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses, their carers and families.

The Role

An Investment Manager at Reall involves a range of responsibilities including portfolio management, financial analysis, partner acquisition and analysis, and compliance with organisational policies. The role requires strong analytical skills, experience in financial management, and the ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders. We are looking for two Investment Managers to strengthen the Investment team.

• Portfolio Management: The Investment Manager is responsible for performance analysis, risk assessment, liquidity management, and overall portfolio allocation.
• Financial Sustainability: Monthly assessments of financial sustainability are conducted by reviewing management accounts, annual financial statements, and business plans.
• Management Reporting: Regular reporting to executive management and investors on investment status is required, along with ensuring outstanding actions are managed through to completion.
• Risk Management: The role includes analysing foreign exchange risk and proposing risk management solutions in collaboration with colleagues.
• Investment Appraisal: Assessing investment opportunities, carrying out project and product investment appraisals, and drafting investment proposals for submission to the Investment Committee.
• Qualifications and Experience: A relevant degree with a CIMA/ACCA or equivalent qualification is preferred, along with experience in financial appraisal, financial management, and working in emerging markets.

Salary – £38,000 - £42,000 per annum dependent on experience

Working hours – Normal office hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. We are open to flexible working patterns subject to the objectives and outcomes of the role being met. We are currently working hybrid with blended office and homeworking with the ability to work up to three days from home most weeks.

You may have thought that leprosy is an ancient Biblical disease, but today someone is diagnosed with leprosy every two minutes. It is a disease of poverty, striking the most vulnerable. Stigma and discrimination mean many people with leprosy hide their symptoms for as long as possible, living in terrible fear of what will happen to them. But without fast treatment, leprosy can cause blindness and disable hands and feet.

The Leprosy Mission (TLM) is the world’s largest leprosy-focused organisation, a pioneer in our field, with over 150 years’ experience serving people affected by this disease. We are looking for an inspirational leader to develop and deliver fundraising plans in Scotland, and to provide excellent care for faithful Scottish supporters. You’ll be working from home, with extensive travel across Scotland. 

You’ll be part of a supportive fundraising management team based in Peterborough. We have a culture of growing and learning together, providing extensive training in fundraising and international development. You’ll also have opportunities to visit projects overseas and see your work first hand.

About the role

Location: Homebased. 
An opportunity for you to drive forward excellence in planning and risk within our Dementia Support & Partnerships, a large and multi-faceted directorate, featuring over 1100 employees and 2000 volunteers; all working to make a difference for those affected by dementia.   

This role is responsible for the development, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the directorate’s planning and risk management processes and systems.  Ensuring successful oversight and monitoring of these plans and identification and management of risks and resources related to our services, corporate partnerships functions and practice and compliance functions.  
 
The role holder will be responsible for:

- Leading on the development of business planning with responsibility for effectively managing, reporting, and monitoring on progress against directorate and functional level plans, and understanding how these plans translate into the charity’s strategic priorities and objectives. 
- Responsible for early detection of challenges, resource, capacity issues arising in forward plans, offering solutions, and contributing to directorate improvement planning. 
- Monitoring and reporting on risk registers and mitigations; working with the leadership teams to identify risks and future mitigating activities through planning processes.  
- Supporting early planning, coordination, and communication of findings related to internal audits applicable to the directorate; supporting with the development and monitoring of relevant improvement plans.  
- Development and reporting of measurable targets and performance indicators.  

About you
You will have experience of developing and monitoring multi-faceted business planning and risk processes, you will be competent and confident in leading and project managing this process working collaboratively with teams and senior leaders. Experienced in developing, analysing and using data insights and measures to inform performance against plan and future vision.  
 
You are:

- Someone with exceptional attention to detail, methodical and able to create innovative processes that engage others. 
- You will have exceptional verbal and written communication skills. 
- Comfortable to lead forums and conversations with leadership teams and managers to instil confidence, trust, and purpose when it comes to planning.
