About the Role
This is a senior role within the Global Support Office HR team. It reports to the Global Director of People and Culture and has oversight and line management responsibility of the recruitment, the HR operations and the organisational transformation functions. The Global Support Office comprises approximately 280 employees based across a number of different locations internationally and in the UK.
The recruitment function is responsible for the recruitment, selection, onboarding and contract negotiation of all MSI Global Support Office (GSO) employees who may be based either in the UK with a UK contract or in an MSI country programme with a local contract but with GSO responsibilities.
The HR Operations function shares responsibility with recruitment for contracting and is responsible for pay and benefits; workforce planning and change management; employee performance management and grievance and conflict resolution.
The Transformation function is responsible for MSI’s Employee Value Proposition strategy, our Diversity, Equality and Inclusion strategy, our employee engagement and other initiatives contributing to the development of our inclusive people focused approach.

To perform this role, you’ll need the following experience:
- Previous experience at business partner level in a large organization with a multi-country footprint;
- Excellent working knowledge of UK legislation in relation to UK employment, plus a broader knowledge of employment legislation outside the UK.
- Experience of HR management through the employee lifecycle including performance management, management of disputes and grievances and ideally tribunal and labour court experience.
- Line management experience and ideally team management experience of a HR function.
- Excellent experience of managing pay and reward in multinational environments.
- Significant experience in providing support and technical advice to stakeholders on workforce planning, change management and restructuring and redundancy processes.
- Experience of contracting employees based in international locations where they are either employed by the headquarter UK based organisation or employed by a local entity, whether this is a business partner organisation or an employer of record, with a demonstrable understanding of the differences and complexities of labour and likely tax requirements and right to work;
- Experience of recruitment of junior and senior level positions in both UK and international labour markets;
Formal education/qualification

Job Purpose
Each year, ILS delivers over 100 training courses, both in person and online. Our courses range from multi day residential programmes to self paced e-learnings, 8 week-long web-learning courses, to one day complex crisis simulations. Many of our in-person courses are delivered in the UK, but others are delivered around the world, in the locations where our clients need them. We are looking for a new Senior Training Advisor to sit within our dynamic training team. As our training programs continue to expand the new Senior Training Advisor will be responsible for supporting the pedagogical robustness and effective delivery of our courses.
The post holder will be expected to oversee the implementation of ILS’ learning and development principles and methodologies throughout our training offerings; ensuring these courses are effectively developed and implemented, providing impact and value to our participants and clients. You are a dynamic, detail-oriented, motivated and engaging learning and development professional with experience applying technology to training, who shares our mission and values.

You will work to support our programmes, ensuring they achieve our pedagogical and organisational aims, whilst upholding the broader company values. Accountabilities
Working autonomously, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing the pedagogical basis of our highly regarded training programmes, as well as contributing directly to their delivery and design. The work is highly varied, and changes from week to week. Key activities include:
Training Design
- Structured, learning-focused development of sessions and courses
- Development of agendas and effective learning plans
- Support the development of simulation and role play scenarios
- Development of trainer/facilitator notes and manuals
- Design of monitoring and evaluation programmes to ensure effective feedback loops and impact assessment
- Input course design to the development of commercial proposals
Training Delivery
- Contribution to the delivery, administration and operational support of face- to-face training in the UK and globally, including Hostile Environment Awareness Training, Crisis Management Training, Travel Safety & Security Training, and Security Risk Management Training.
- Contribution to the delivery, administration and operational support of online training courses (including instructor-led web-learning and e-learning) including Personal Safety Awareness, Travel Safety, Crisis Management and Security Risk Management.
- Design, delivery, programme management and logistical oversight of our overseas training programmes. These can be delivered for our clients anywhere in the world
Other Activities
- When possible, and within your frame of expertise, you will provide support to the Risk Advisory team, for the delivery of risk management projects.
Person Specification
The ideal applicant will have empathy with ILS’ values and be able to work in a way that reflects these.
- As a Learning and Development Professional you will possess a formal qualification in adult learning approaches or have significant demonstrable experience in adult learning/training design and delivery.
- You will have significant experience in the delivery of online and/or face-to-face training, including delivery of training programmes overseas.
- You will have demonstrable experience in structured curriculum development and learning cycles for adult learners from diverse cultures, with a focus on participatory techniques.
- Significant experience of working in the Humanitarian, Development, Human Rights, Research, or Media sector, ideally within field offices and Headquarters.
- You must be comfortable working within a small, dynamic and diverse team.
- You should be self-motivated and able to organise you own workload over multiple simultaneous projects.
- You should possess strong IT skills, with the ability to work on Microsoft packages and online project management systems.
- Customer service focus and entrepreneurial attitude.
- A valid UK drivers’ license and experience operating manual and automatic vehicles.

- Ability to train in more than one language.

As Health Economics Lead, you will have a new and exciting opportunity to lead and develop how we use health economics evidence in the development and curation of our strategic evidence base. You will play a significant role in making dementia the priority it needs to be.
You will be a recognised expert in your field, providing leadership on complex assignments and projects, and providing technical guidance to others in resolving complex issues related to economic analysis.
You will work alongside a Dementia Data and Intelligence Lead and Strategic Evidence Manager. Together, you will provide expertise on evidence, data and insight in the context of dementia, ensuring that the Society’s decisions and interpretation of dementia and the system is based on the highest quality of dementia evidence.
Your role is also part of an even larger Evidence, Policy & Influencing (EP&I) function which is laser-focused on ending the devastation of dementia through changing policy. You will be an integral part of the part of EP&I Management Team. Integration and teamwork are everything in this role – with colleagues internally and with the system externally.
You will:
- Hold responsibility for providing leadership and in house expertise in health economic analysis and economic approaches, helping us to develop and curate our strategic evidence base
- Identify, synthesise and summarise complex health economics literature, using your critical thinking skills to accurately present findings in reports, varying formats appropriate to the anticipated audience, to facilitate evidence-based policy and to inform strategic decision making
- Be at the leading edge of health economics, ensuring specialist knowledge is kept up to date by being aware of developments in the field of health economics, attending training courses and participating in other knowledge sharing events or networks.

The ESOL Tutor teaches, plans, delivers and assesses’ learners of English as a second language. The tutor is involved in curriculum development and part of an expanding ESOL Team and service at King’s Arms Project. Group classes are provided to resettled adults and run at Pre-Entry, Beginner, Elementary and Pre-Intermediate Levels at our teaching locations in Shefford and Bedford. There is potential for this role to be teaching one, two or three classes based on service need and candidate availability.
You will be expected to hold a minimum TEFL/TESOL qualification and will have, or will develop, working knowledge of supporting and coaching adults learners through learning programmes.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• To teach groups of adults using a variety of relevant methods and approaches to enable and support learning offering information, advice and guidance

About the Campaigns Assistant role
Our Public Affairs department is responsible for the WI’s high-profile, national campaigns, policy and research work. In this varied role as Campaigns Assistant, you will provide administrative, event, communications, research and project management support to the team, the Public Affairs Committee and WI members. From responding to queries from members and the public, to coordinating the NFWI’s annual resolution process, you will play a key part in helping the NFWI achieve real and impactful change in its campaigning and lobbying activities.
About you
Educated to degree level, or with equivalent experience, you will have strong administrative skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with people at various levels. About the role
We are looking for someone with project coordination experience to join our growing Impact and Evaluation team as a Research Coordinator to develop and enhance the support function of the research team so that our research can help improve support for vulnerable children and young people, and ultimately make a positive difference in their lives.
This is not a research role but one focused on coordination and administration and would suit someone who is highly organised with extensive project co-ordination and administrative experience, preferably in a research environment. The Research Coordinator will be embedded in diverse range of projects, with exposure to a wealth of methodologies and approaches in research.
The successful candidate will provide wrap around support to the team and our portfolio of research projects by helping to manage their administration, including capacity planning and project allocation as well as organising research processes such as interviews, liaison with funders etc. They will also support financial administration and when needed bid applications, contracting and research dissemination. In addition they will work with our Research Ethics Committee and supporting the team’s work on ensuring equity, diversity and inclusion is at the forefront of our work. About the Role
The Corporate Fundraiser will work closely with the Corporate and Community Fundraising Manager to secure new relationships across the Fylde Coat, developing a pipeline of sustainable income. Our partner is seeking a Group Finance Officer to join a close knit finance team, within an impactful international charity working on climate resilience. The role in addition to having a focus on financial processing & accounting, has a significant focus on business partnering and providing support to the overseas teams.
Responsibilities
