The Health Foundation is an independent charitable organisation working to build a healthier UK.
The Foundation carries out procurement activities to support its operations, run the secure data environment, run its campaigning programme, and disseminate learnings and findings for public benefit. The interim Head of Procurement will be responsible for the procurement framework and lead on a change programme to ensure our procurement processes are streamlined and support the delivery of our strategy.
The role will work collaboratively within the Corporate Services team and wider organisation to deliver changes to the procurement policies and processes, ensuring value for money, sustainability and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion are at the heart of procurement decisions.
With an expected start date of January 2025, This role will collaborate directly with teams in the Foundation to design the procurement approach for all major supplies and will be responsible for the review of the related contracts.

Our Welfare Officers provide direct and impactful welfare support to RAF personnel and their immediate family. As a trusted and confidential source of support, you will assist our service users with challenges they are facing, from mental ill-health, difficult relationships, domestic abuse, financial and cost-of-living concerns, resettlement, housing, childcare, equality issues, bereavement, military discharge or deployment and many more - no day will be the same, as such this is a great opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills within the Welfare sector.

About you
To thrive in this role you will have relevant experience of supporting adults, families and children/young people. You will be able to take a flexible and creative approach to problem solving. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to deliver presentations with confidence.
You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard. It is important that you have experience of planning and managing your own workload, with minimal supervision.
It would be advantageous if you have experience of carrying out assessments, preparing plans, monitoring and reviewing outcomes.
There will be some travel required and therefore you will need to be able to drive and have access to your own car.

The role

The Role

As the Designer, you will bring our brand to life through high-quality, compelling, and on-brand design work across a range of offline and online assets. This role is key to delivering funds to our Grantee Partners and involves working on the financial management of our grants as a member of our Grants Compliance Team. The team is responsible for ensuring that funds under our management reach our Grantee Partners and are used for their intended purpose. In doing this, the team supports with due diligence assessments on all prospective Grantee Partners, analyses the financial reporting and forecasts of Grantee Partners, and works to prevent and investigate fraud across the portfolio. The team also oversees the proper implementation of the recommendations raised at the due diligence stage and contributes to the strengthening of our Grantee Partners’ internal processes and controls.
AmplifyChange is a bi-lingual fund so fluency in French is essential as the postholder will support our grantees, who are based across Africa, South Asia and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
You will work closely with the Grants Compliance Manager, the Finance team, the Grant Support Teams, the Operations Team and the Learning, Monitoring and Evaluation Team while completing a broad range of compliance related tasks.
As part of this role, you will:
- Support the Grants Compliance Manager with financial eligibility criteria checks on prospective Grantee Partners.

Supporting Students, early career academics and those focussed on higher education teaching and learning:
- Support your team members in managing member networks including the PSA’s Teaching and Learning Network (TLN) and Early Career Network (ECN), its volunteer convenors (committee members) and programme of communications, resources and events and imbed these as a clear part of our membership offering
- Support your team members in undertaking the election and training of incoming committee members and ensure the development of appropriate procedures and annual actions plans so that they adhere to the byelaws of the association and agreed budgets
