The Director of Fundraising be responsible for developing and implementing a fundraising strategy. This will include the day-to-day management of the existing fundraising team and championing fundraising at senior management level and with the Board.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5 to 10 years of fundraising experience, including managing a fundraising department.

About the Role:
This role is crucial in the long-term retention and growth of our partnership revenue streams. The role requires strong interpersonal, negotiation, and project management skills to maintain and nurture mutually beneficial strategic alliances to enhance Urban Synergy’s capacity and reach. The position also provides value to our partners and will ensure our collaborations with businesses, foundations, government agencies, and non-profit organisations are sponsored, supported, and sustainable.

What You'll Do:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential Corporate partners within FTSE 250.
Develop and implement a partnership strategy to enhance financial support and resources for Urban Synergy programmes.
Develop tailored partnership packages that align with the philanthropic priorities and interests of our Corporate partners.
Prepare compelling and professionally written proposals and presentations to potential corporate partners. Ensure they are aligned with the interests of potential partners.
Effectively communicate the impact and benefits of partnerships to prospective sponsors.
Lead negotiations and finalise partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with Urban Synergy's values and goals.
Work with legal and finance teams to ensure contract compliance.
Collaborate with programme managers to ensure seamless integration of corporate partnerships into Urban Synergy's initiatives.
Provide regular updates to the leadership team on partnership progress and outcomes.
Work closely with the finance team to manage and report on the financial aspects of corporate partnerships.
Ensure budgetary alignment with partnership goals and objectives.

Proven experience in a partnership development or similar role, preferable within the non-profit sector.

INTERIM DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMMES JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose of Role
The purpose of this role is to ensure the effective management and delivery of WasteAid’s global programme, providing leadership, capacity building and support to WasteAid’s international programme team and ensuring effective resource mobilisation. This role reports to the Director of Programmes and supports that role in scaling, trialling and evolving WasteAid’s current programme approach.
Major Responsibilities:
Leadership and Representation
• Provide leadership and supervisory management for WasteAid’s programmes team, including mobilisation and stewardship of resources, programme quality accountability, and performance management.
• Participate actively in country programme management, coordination, and strategy meetings with Director of Programmes and members of the country team.
• Work closely with Finance colleagues to ensure timely budget development, financial planning and cost management.
• Support the Director of Programmes to actively engage with donors, partner organisations and external stakeholders to ensure WasteAid is strongly represented.
• Conduct regular field visits to support programme teams
Supporting Strategic Direction, Program Quality and Growth
• Provide cohesive leadership to WasteAid’s global programme teams ensuring that priorities and opportunities identified are in line with organisational strategy and approach which includes scaling of current programmes and the identification of further areas of intervention.
• Work closely with the Head of Strategy and Impact to support the programme team with regarding tools and strategies to ensure that programming is based on input from communities, local partners and local/national stakeholders, a thorough understanding of the context, and technical best practices
• Work with Director of Programmes and colleagues in the country programme to identify funding opportunities and support the development of competitive, responsive proposals; meet with potential partners (and donors as appropriate) to discuss current and potential funding opportunities.
• Work with the Senior Management Team to develop programme budgets, which reflect a detailed understanding of situational parameters, beneficiary needs, available resources and technical possibilities including partnership capabilities.
• Working collaboratively with the Senior Management Team, support MEAL approaches to adapt and implement appropriate monitoring and evaluation systems that enhance programme quality, increase effectiveness and measure results.
Staff Performance Management and Development
• Supervise and mentor direct-report staff, including communicating clear expectations, setting performance objectives, establishing a supportive environment while emphasizing accountability, providing regular and timely constructive performance feedback, and leading documented semi-annual performance reviews.
• Maintain open and professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit and providing oversight and guidance to enable staff to successfully perform in their positions.
• Promote and monitor staff care and well-being. Model healthy work-life balance practices. Support appropriate interventions in response to identified staff care needs of staff.
• Work with HR to identify and implement recruitment and retention strategies.
Grant Monitoring & Partner Management
• Supervise the Grants Finance Officer.
• Support and supervise implementation of strong Project Management Cycle processes and tools including budgeting and planning and grant meetings such as Budget vs Actuals Meetings, Grant Opening, Mid-Term, and Closing Meetings, ensuring follow up on action points.
• Through the Grants Finance Officer ensure that all programmes are compliant with their respective donor regulations
• Support the Director of Programmes in having a solid partnership strategy for appropriate programmes.
• Ensure programme staff proactively maintain positive relationships with partners, including ongoing capacity building and mentoring,
Job Requirements:
· Educated to degree level, masters in a relevant subject would be desirable.
· At least 10 years of progressively responsible professional experience managing complex international development programming, ideally with a climate or environmental element.
· Demonstrated successful leadership experience managing a multi-disciplinary team and cross-cultural dynamics.
· Strong diplomatic and coordination skills.
· Demonstrated ability for accurate analysis of complex issues, strong decision-making, and translation of programmatic priorities into operational strategies.
· Proven track record of leading multi-location teams.

While much of our team, work, and revenue are currently concentrated in the United States, we are committed to maintaining and expanding our international presence. The next CEO must have a global outlook, be comfortable working across different cultures, and actively support CPI’s vision of remaining a diverse and internationally balanced organization. REMUNERATION
At CPI, we are committed to aligning our compensation framework with the principles of fairness, equity, and transparency. We benchmark salaries using national, country-specific data and aim to offer compensation between the 50th and 75th percentiles for all staff roles. Additionally, we maintain a 5-to-1 ratio between the most senior and junior staff, ensuring that our compensation structure remains equitable across the organization.
For the CEO role, a competitive salary will be offered in line with local benchmarking for the country where the CEO is based. As a reference, in our two largest offices, the salary range for a UK-based CEO is £170,000-200,000, and for a US-based CEO, the range is $275,000-310,000. Beyond base salary, we take a holistic approach to compensation, offering a benefits package designed to support work-life balance. This includes a generous package and leave entitlement, comprehensive health care, and flexible working arrangements. CPI’s CEO would preferably be based in the US (East Coast) or Western Europe, but we are open to discussing other locations in an exceptional circumstance. Travel will be an important part of the role, with consideration given to climate impact and effective use of time and resources. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Events and Partnerships Manager to join our Events and Partnerships Teams. Role Requirements
- Working alongside the Head of Public Fundraising, you will strengthen and implement business planning, pipeline and budgeting processes as well as devise comprehensive audience-led stewardship plans, maintaining momentum and focus to achieve targets.
- Lead the implementation and delivery of the strategy for the Events and Partnerships teams and work with the Head of Public Fundraising and the teams to develop and review strategies to maximise income from events and partnerships
- Manage partnership pipeline including building opportunities with new businesses to increase the range, value and number of partnerships for The Children’s Trust
- Lead the Events team to review and overhaul our current events programme so that we are maximising net income and ROI as well as meeting the needs of our supporters and local community, and building connections and long-term relationships with our events supporters
- Work across the Retail, Fundraising and Communications directorate to maximise opportunities for contact mapping, cross-sell and support the activity of other teams within the directorate (including but not limited to stock donations, sponsorship of committee-led events, pro bono support, gifts in kind etc.)
- Be responsible for the implementation of the budgets and delivery of income and expenditure against the plans
- Bring the Events and Partnerships teams together to ensure that we are seizing opportunities to integrate the programmes, for instance through corporate sponsorships of events, employee volunteering or participation, donated goods for raffles and auctions, match funding and more

The Role

• Work collaboratively across the Development team, engaging with key stakeholders, to deliver on strategic goals and KPIs.
• Liaise with Program and Finance colleagues to share grant requirements and reporting expectations, build reports and deliver high -quality stewardship items.
• Work alongside the team to keep an accurate record of donor relationships in Salesforce, including stakeholder information, notes from meetings, reporting and submission deadlines, and correspondence with donor staff
• Build and develop new relationships with prospective foundation donors and foundation fundraising strategy in collaboration with Senior Manager and Vice President for Strategic Partnerships
• Represent the organisation, both internally and externally where opportunities arise, including donor visits, public events, and partner convenings
• Keep abreast and keep the wider team updated of best practices and trends in the philanthropy sector, scoping out strategic opportunities to help us engage new prospective donors
• Contribute to the development of a strong values-based team culture across different countries, areas and streams of work

• Experience working with a development/fundraising team to deliver financial goals or partnership deliverables.
• An understanding of the funder and wider philanthropy system in the UK, US, and/or globally
• Appreciation for working with community-based organisations towards a shared goal
• Experience coordinating with a diverse range of colleagues to develop concept notes and funding proposals
• Knowledge of children and young people programming and / or experience in the international development sector preferred

Salary – UK-based salary range for this role will be £40,000 - £45,000, depending on experience
Weekly hours – 35 hours per week.
Holidays – 30 days annual leave and 8 public holidays. The basic annual leave allowance increases to 35 days after 4 years of continuous employment.
Flexible Working Location – This is a hybrid position that is based in the UK. GFC is open to applications to those who will regularly visit our London office.

About the NEL VCSE Collaborative
The North East London (NEL) Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) Collaborative works closely with NHS North East London to work together strategically by shaping, improving and delivering services and contributes to the system design and organisational development of the ICB, ensuring Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) contribution.
The leadership group of the seven borough representatives meet monthly and is currently working to develop a VCFSE strategy to raise the profile of the sector and support the VCFSE to work in partnership with the health system to address local health inequalities. We are now keen to expand our work and recruit a Chair.

Purpose of the role
· Provide influential and inspirational leadership to ensure the VCFSE sector is an equal partner in the NEL ICP

Key functions & Tasks (Role Description)
• To lead with compassion and inspiration to ensure strategic influence of VCFSE at system level to better enable integrated working approaches between system leaders and sector partners
• Together with the Partnership Development Director, produce a quarterly budget report and regular updates including emerging opportunities and risks in a timely manner
• Lead and work with the NEL Collaborative to identify and communicate strategic and business development goals which are in line with community and ICS outcomes
• In collaboration with the Partnership Development Director, plan and Chair the NEL VCSE Collaborative meetings and ensure relevant business is discussed with clear actions
• Ensure that the NEL VCSE Collaborative leadership group adheres to the Terms of Reference (ToR) and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in place and membership is fair and reviewed regularly with actions and conflicts of interest appropriately managed
• Ensure the NEL VCSE Collaborative addresses and incorporates relevant legislation, policies and best practice guidance, including equality and diversity
• Work with the Partnerships Development Director to provide and promote system-wide communication through a range of media channels
Person Specification
• Experience of working with the VCFSE sector at a strategic and senior management level, including championing and advocating on behalf of the VCFSE sector
• Demonstrate excellent knowledge of VCFSE and healthcare related policies with an understanding of the issues facing the VCFSE at local, regional and national level
• An understanding of the diversity of the VCFSE including grassroots level/micro- organisations
• Experience of leading meetings representing a diversity of views as well as change management processes at a strategic level
• Able to negotiate and influence with the ability to communicate with tact and sensitivity where appropriate. The role will include managing potentially complex and politically sensitive relationships.
• Ability to interpret highly complex information and communicate effectively across multiple stakeholders
