As RIVET’s inaugural Director of Donor Engagement, you will help build and then lead the stewardship implementation for our 70+ major donors who serve on our Leadership Council, Youth Impact Council, and Youth Impact Fund, providing them with a meaningful experience that reflects our shared values and desired impact. RIVET’s operating budget is $2.5M, with most of that currently coming from philanthropic support. Our four-year sustainable business model strategy reflects an increasing reliance on brand revenue. The Director of Donor Engagement plays a critical role in helping us secure the capacity building funds needed to help the RIVET rocket get into orbit in the meantime. Your success is largely defined by donors renewing and deepening their support, and increasingly serving as an engine for RIVET’s expanded global impact.

To support this important work, we are looking for a Programme Funding Manager to secure significant and sustainable funding through matching donor’s purpose and values with Embrace’s programme and partnership strategy.
Recognising the philanthropy landscape is changing, we want to invest in building on the solid foundations that have been laid by the current major giving team with this new Programme Funding Manager (initially for 1 year). The focus of this new role will be to shift our trust and foundation fundraising approach towards developing thematic proposals, specifically funding Embrace’s Christian Partners to provide support for services including but not limited to; refugees, displaced communities fleeing violence, enable women's empowerment, psychosocial support for young people, education services, community development and emergency humanitarian relief. Never has there been a more poignant time to help and support people in this troubled region.
About the role:
The Programme Funding Manager will work closely with Embrace’s Director of Fundraising and Major Gift colleagues to secure £500,000 per annum from Major Donors, Trusts, Foundations and Corporates.
Working collaboratively with Embrace’s Programme and Partnerships colleagues, you will create, develop and agree funding proposals to support our partners with programming developments, around thematic proposals that fund work in multiple countries. This work will encompass, producing compelling, persuasive and professional applications to secure and renew funding. This will result in achieving substantial donations and long-term partnership with donors through excellent stewardship, characterised by clearly articulating to trusts, funder’s philanthropic interests, providing captivating reports to encourage the renewal and cultivation of potential and existing donations. You will develop and maintain an exemplary understanding of the context and challenges of Embrace’s Christian partners, deliver high quality applications to either achieve or exceed targets and ensure donors are professionally thanked and their support acknowledged as appropriate.
About you:
This role requires a proven understanding of successful programme design and ability to innovate our approach to fundraising from charitable trusts, foundations and corporate donors, coupled with pre-emptively writing pitch proposals that marry donor purpose, and an ability to present detailed reports illustrating the impact of Embrace’s work through its Christian partners in the region. Suitable candidates will be motivated and inspired to support Embrace’s Christian partners to transform lives and restore the dignity of the most excluded and marginalised, helping change the lives of marginalised people living with poverty, injustice, disability, trauma and displacement caused by conflict, and other challenges. You will have a sympathy for Embrace’s mission with the Christian faith and be comfortable working in a faith-inspired environment.
Suitable skills and experience include:
- A track record in developing new funding sources, writing applications and reporting on projects raising 5/6-figure sums for multi-year projects
- Ability to identify potential new funding opportunities and have experience of writing detailed reports and delivering pitches on the phone and/or in person
- A highly collaborative approach, a problem solver and lateral thinker
- Willingness to travel to visit Embrace’s programmes in the Middle East (once or twice every 2 years)
- Translating strategy into cases for funding support
- A propositional / front-footed approach, proactively prioritising workload to deliver multiple projects at the same high standard
- Strong written communication and interpersonal skills with proven track record in face-to-face pitching to prospects and the ability to present orally and in writing
- Ability to influence, negotiate and persuade others to gain acceptance or agreement of ideas and approaches
- Competent level of computer literacy, including use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and CRM system
- Self-motivated, be able to work from home and be able to travel to London and other areas as required

Finance administration and processing for SIA and its subsidiary including;

Support regular credit control:

Job Description
The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) created the Culture Recovery Fund (CRF) to help cultural organisations and heritage sites during the COVID-19 pandemic. This Fund included a £254 million loans programme for arts, culture and heritage organisations. Arts Council acts as loan agent for the borrowers in the programme portfolio.
You will be responsible for all aspects of Arts Council's management of the CRF loans portfolio. You will be the principal contact with DCMS and will be required to meet with them regularly to report on a range of CRF loans portfolio issues and activities including formal portfolio reviews, loan re-profile recommendations, commissioning of external legal and financial advice, loans management process and systems.
The CRF Loans Director will have direct line management responsibility for the CRF loans team and your duties will include:
- Overseeing effective loans monitoring processes to identify where borrowers' business performance indicates a risk to loan repayment
- Reporting to DCMS on the performance of the loans' portfolio on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
- Making recommendations on appropriate action to take on defaulting or at-risk loans.
- Ensuring performance management, risk and internal controls are in place and used effectively.
The Successful Applicant
The successful CRF Loans Director will hold an ACA/CCAB/CIMA qualification (or equivalent) with experience of working at a senior level and exposure to working with loan lenders and borrowers.
You will have excellent financial analysis skills and be able to present complex financial information in simple understandable form to decision makers and others.
Ideally you will have a background within an audit and/or social impact organisation and have an understanding of shaping a loans fund.

FareShare Midlands is the region’s largest food redistribution charity. We take good-to-eat surplus food from the food industry and get it to our Members - frontline charities and community groups all over the Midlands. We turn an environmental problem into a social solution.
Last year we redistributed almost 5,794 tonnes of food from our warehouses in Birmingham, Leicester and Nottingham. It is sorted and stored by our dedicated teams of staff and volunteers, and then redistributed to around 800 Members including food pantries and cafes, homeless shelters and drop-in centres.
These local organisations turn the food into food parcels, affordable shopping and delicious meals for people of all ages. As well as food, our Members provide vital support to families and the elderly, many of whom are facing challenging circumstances and living in poverty.
Last year our food reached more than 83,000 vulnerable people every week, providing 13 million meals. At the same time, we are growing our Employability Programmes to help people gain work experience, skills and jobs.
The Role
FareShare Midlands is a high-profile charity with stakeholders from varying sectors not least over 500 companies in the food industry and FareShare UK. You will work towards, and achieve, a best-in-class in operation not accepting standards or a service that falls short of this.
As the senior person on site, you will be the key point of contact for operations, logistics and stock allocation for your region. You will be responsible for all compliance issues including food hygiene, health & safety and security of the depot and the safety and wellbeing of all visitors, contractors, depot staff and volunteers.
The main role will be to lead the successful day to day operations and ensure the ongoing success of the FareShare Midlands Regional Centres. This will involve working closely with staff and volunteers to ensure that all activities, including operational and order processing are completed to the agreed standard & daily timetable.
With colleagues in the Supply chain & Development functions, you will help develop new operational/logistic activity and lead on the implementation of growth of your RCs activity, capacity and output.
You will report to the Senior Operations Manager and will be a key member of the Operations team across the Midlands region. You will identify and share good practise within and outside the Midlands, working closely with colleagues in the other regional centres.
In agreement with the Senior Operations Manager, you will set out relevant Ops KPIs and targets and will join daily calls and weekly meetings to discuss and help resolve issues across the Midlands region, working as ‘one team’ with colleagues from other functions and regions.
Opening times:
Over the week the depot will be open for the hours required, with staff working 37.5 hours per week which may include working in evenings and weekends on a rota basis if the performance and growth of the region requires it. You will work with the Senior Operations Manager to implement the shift patterns required to provide the service to our members and communities.
Main responsibilities
Job responsibilities will prioritise but not be limited to:
1. Operations:
· Co-ordinate the work schedule and daily activities of the depot, within the guidelines of FareShare Midlands policies and procedures on food safety and Health & Safety
· Be responsible for the supervision, development, and training of all staff & volunteers
· Ensure that all shifts are efficiently planned, controlled, and resourced at least a week in advance.
· Maintain and use the in-house stock management system, with responsibility for the training of depot staff and volunteers on the database and accuracy of stock. Maintain good relations and communications with food suppliers and community member recipient projects, responding to any complaints or service issues with pace and courtesy as set out in our Service Charter
· Ensure that the vans are maintained as roadworthy and legal (taxed and insured)
· Ensure that community food members in your region receive a service, supply and variety of food that is expected / agreed, working closely with the Member Services Manager to flag potential issues with supply and/or service
2. Health & Safety, Food Hygiene & Equal Opportunities:
· Be responsible for the Health & Safety and security of the operation, including warehouse, vehicles, staff, visitors, and volunteers
· To support health and safety advisor in carrying out risk assessments
· Ensure compliance with all FareShare policies and procedures and industry standards as required by food donors and regulators, and maintain gold standard at audit level

Person Specification - Skills, Qualities & Experience
Essential
· Established (minimum 3 years) warehousing knowledge including managing Staff and Rotas.
· Depot management experience, managing stock control, payment reconciliation and putting all required warehouse processes in place.
· Relevant experience of working in the food industry, probably in a retail operations management or production management resulting in a strong understanding of all the core areas around operations, food safety, health and safety and good business practice.
· Stock management of perishable goods, putting processes and checks in place from goods in to goods out, creating stock count processes, managing stock rotation.
· Line management experience, including projects and associated budgets to time, to cost and to quality.

Job summary
CPA UK works on behalf of both Houses of Parliament and the wider CPA to provide resources, support and peer to peer learning for parliamentarians throughout the Commonwealth. CPA UK is headed by a Chief Executive who is Secretary of the CPA UK Branch and Regional Secretary to CPA British Islands and Mediterranean Region. CPA UK is organised into three teams to plan and deliver its work. CPA UK is funded by the Houses of Parliament and leverages additional external funding for strategically aligned projects.
Since 2016, in partnership with the National Audit Office (NAO) and Government Internal Audit Agency (GIAA), CPA UK has been the lead organisation in delivering the UK Overseas Territories Project (UKOTP). Phase I of the Project was a four-year, multi-stakeholder programme supporting good governance and oversight of public finance in the United Kingdom Overseas Territories (OTs). The project offered practical advice and support to international legislators and officials in building the capacity of supreme audit institutions, internal audit units and public accounts committees (PACs) to enable effective public financial oversight. The second phase of the project builds on the successes of Phase I and seeks to address remaining challenges. More ambitious in scope it includes increasingly more work in the area of governance, including on legislative oversight and electoral reform.
The UK Overseas Territories Project is funded by the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) under the Overseas Territories and Polar Department’s (OTPD) International Programme. The funding cycle for Phase 1 run from March 2016 until March 2020. The funding for Phase 2 runs from April 2020 to March 2025. Funding will be requested for an additional year to March 2026 with opportunity to plan for a further multiyear project.
Job description
This role sits within the International Partnerships Team at CPA UK. The Strategic Lead for the UKOTP is responsible for and leads the strategic development and implementation of the Project overseeing and coordinating the planning, delivery, monitoring, and evaluation of the project. The post holder will also be responsible for managing programme expenditure against budget and reporting to the Head of International Partnerships, CPA UK’s Chief Executive, the FCDO and to a Project Board made of senior stakeholders. The project is currently delivered by a team of 4 staff. With CPA UK as lead Consortium partner, they are responsible for managing the relationship and contributions of the two external partners on the project as well as sustaining and managing relationships with parliamentary, national and international stakeholders. This role requires a high degree of initiative and autonomy and has the responsibility of managing complex relationships with senior project partners and beneficiaries in often sensitive contexts.
Person specification
Strategic Planning and Programme Management
- Plan, develop and deliver the UKOTP strategic and business planning, seeking advice and guidance from the Chief Executive and Head of International Partnerships at CPA UK, the FCDO Overseas Territories Polar Directorate, other stakeholders and with input from project partners.
- Prepare the annual bid and work-plan for the UKOTP mindful of key deliverables and reporting requirements.
- Develop a Monitoring & Evaluation Framework, monitor and evaluate the UKOTP progress across all areas and all territories in accordance with donor requirements.
- Ensure the project maintains its focus on target territories, key deliverables, and indicators in this complex and high-profile area of work.
- Provide leadership, line manage and support the personal development of two programme officers and a project assistant, and coordinate the work of the UKOTP team members in line with CPA UK policies and good practice.
- Coordinate the input and work of stakeholders as necessary including NAO and GIAA.
- Liaise with the wider International Partnership Team and CPA UK team to ensure complementarity in approaches and participation from the Overseas Territories in line with project objectives.
- Be responsible for management and financial reporting of the UKOTP budget (550K+ annually). Provide timely and accurate financial reconciliation and reporting to internal stakeholders, Project Board and to the funder (FCDO).
- Operate effective financial forecasting and financial planning and work in close liaison with the CPA UK Finance Manager and Head of International Partnerships Team for invoicing and ensuring payment from the funder.
- Be responsible for the management and mitigation of risks to the project.
- Together with the Chief Executive, Head of IPT, be aware of opportunities for new and innovative work and look to further pipeline development with other stakeholders.
- Report to the UKOTP management Board made up of senior stakeholders including UK parliamentarians as laid down in the terms of reference.

Partnerships and Stakeholder Management
- Successfully build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders in the UK and in territories including with Clerks, PAC and other Committee Chairs, Speakers, Premiers, Governors, Governor’s Offices and FCDO OTPD.
- Build on existing relationships and partnerships with linked organisations whose objectives align with, and can add value to the UKOTP (including Audit Wales and Audit Scotland),
- Maintain relationships within and outside the UK Parliament and CPA UK with all partners and other stakeholders including the UK Overseas Territories Association (UKOTA).
- Work with Board Members consisting of senior UK Parliamentarians, a UKOT representative, and relevant stakeholders, as well as with Commonwealth legislatures to ensure the successful delivery and development of the UKOTP.
Communications
- Lead on the development of a communications strategy and the management and production of core project outputs that contribute to project outcomes including events, print materials, social media, media, the OTP newsletter, etc. in close liaison with relevant colleagues.
- Maintain strong communication and partnership with project beneficiaries including Supervisors of Elections, PAC and other Committee Chairs, Committee Clerks, Clerks of Legislatives Assemblies, Heads of Internal and External Audit.
- Ensure that team keep the CPA UK website and other information outlets up to date.
- Provide regular updates to CPA UK team members and to other involved partners / stakeholders.
- Work closely and coordinate with your opposite number in IPT and MPT and with CPA UK’s communications manager to ensure UKOTP programmes are covered within CPA UK’s communications strategy.
Governance
- Report to the Head of International Partnerships, CPA UK’s Chief Executive and the Project Board.
- Maintain clear controls and reporting of budget within CPA UK and funder’s existing rules.
Play an active role in the CPA UK Management Team, representing the work of UKOTP as appropriate and working with others to promote continuous improvement within and across teams.

£36,000 - £40,000 per annum (Grade B) (pro rata) depending on experience, plus a share in a company-wide performance bonus.

Working hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Thursday, and 9:00 am to 4:30 pm on Friday.

- i. With reference to examples of your recent experience, what would make you an excellent candidate for this role? (250 words)
- ii. You joined the team mid-campaign for the launch of a new tool on the Unifrog platform. It becomes clear that the campaign is off track and internal stakeholders have started to express concerns. How would you go about understanding the cause/s of the issue, and how would you regain stakeholder confidence? (250 words)
- iii. Tell us about a time when you had to tailor an email campaign for a specific audience. What informed your approach? (250 words)

Stage 2: Marketing task (1 hour) ✉️
- For the next stage of the application process, we’ll ask you to draft a marketing email to one of our audiences. We will send you instructions if you are successful in the first application stage. We will be scheduling these tasks after the application deadline.

Stage 3: Video call interview (1 hour) ️
- Standard Q&A from a panel of three, including questions about your experiences and how these relate to the role, and scenario questions based on common situations you might face (plus time for your questions).
- Video call interviews will be held w/c 27th January 2025.
