About GLAN
The Global Legal Action Network (GLAN) works with affected communities to pursue innovative legal actions across borders to challenge states and other powerful actors involved in human rights violations and systemic injustice. Our actions address the most pressing instances of human rights concern and they fall within the following themes: War and occupation; accountability and supply chains; environmental and economic justice; and migration and border violence.
Since our establishment in 2016, we have developed legal strategies directly addressing human rights impacts in over 23 countries and territories. Our cases include the successful legal challenge against imports of cotton produced with forced labour in Xinjiang (East Turkistan) into the UK on behalf of World Uyghur Congress and the climate case against 32 European States before the Grand Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights, brought on behalf of six Portuguese youth-applicants.
More recently, we have supported the preeminent Palestinian human rights organisation Al Haq, to rapidly challenge UK weapons exports to Israel due to the risk of these arms being used in violations of international law
About the Role
GLAN has a small yet powerful fundraising team. Our Development Lead excels in relationship fundraising, having forged multi-year funding partnerships with aligned Trusts & Foundations and major donors. Additionally, our Fundraising Officer has successfully established GLAN’s individual giving programme, leveraging crowdfunding and nurturing potential regular givers.
We face a pivotal moment as we seek to expand the team to build on our success and pursue new business.
Job purpose
As GLAN’s Philanthropy Manager, you will support the launch of our new three year fundraising strategy. The Philanthropy Manager role is crucial in leveraging the momentum gained from our existing fundraising successes. This role will focus on attracting new major donors, including high net worth individuals, trusts, foundations, and exploring corporate funding opportunities. The introduction of a dedicated Philanthropy Manager will allow us to:

Responsibilities
Income generation

Philanthropic Giving Programme Strategy Development: Create and implement strategies to secure new major gifts from high-net-worth individuals, Trusts & Foundations, and corporations.

Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with major donors, ensuring a robust pipeline of high-value prospects.

Fundraising: Secure significant donations (5 and 6 figure gifts) from individuals and organisations.

Event Coordination: Plan and execute donor cultivation events, meetings, and site visits to engage major donors and showcase the impact of their support.

We are looking for an exceptional Director of IT and Transformation to develop and lead IT transformation across the college, serving 650 staff, 6,000 students and the wider community.

Blue Ventures is a marine conservation organization that puts people first. We support coastal fishers in remote and rural communities to rebuild fisheries, restore ocean life and build lasting pathways to prosperity. Our work began two decades ago in Madagascar’s remote coastal communities and is growing globally.
Across a dozen countries, we’re partnering with traditional fishers and community organizations to design, scale, strengthen and sustain fisheries management and conservation at the community level. Summary job description
Our Technical Knowledge team oversees Blue Ventures’ technical pillars (Secure Rights, Community-Based Fisheries Management, Food Security and Financial Inclusion) and supports the use of data for decision-making, providing tools, training, and guidance to partners and Blue Ventures’ staff around the world. This team integrates expertise and deep practical experience with pragmatism and a desire to enable others to deliver lasting change, by distilling global best practices and knowledge into usable tools, appropriate training, and responsive guidance and support. The team is also responsible for delivering peer learning exchanges and knowledge-sharing events both online and face-to-face across the organisation, in addition to overseeing technical publications.
We are currently recruiting for an exceptional individual to be part of this global team, leading a critical pillar of the strategy on Financial Inclusion. This individual would oversee the development, refinement, and roll out of tools and training to support partners working with communities around the world, supporting with financial inclusion initiatives as they establish community-based fisheries management and locally managed marine areas. The Global Head - Financial Inclusion will have a strong understanding and technical experience of community-based financial inclusion initiatives such as village savings and loans associations, with proven skills in coaching and team building skills and effective management capacity in leading a multi-disciplinary team and working cross-functionally.
Blue Ventures recognises the key roles that women play in fisheries management and conservation as fishers, gleaners, processors, sellers and negotiators and seeks to highlight the important value of their roles in the fisheries value chain, that are often invisible, so that they also benefit. An understanding of the challenges faced particularly by women in fisheries and experience of working in communities to find some practical solutions desirable for this role. The role will work in close collaboration with the Technical Knowledge team to support these goals, which includes working with fisher associations and committees to increase the participation of women in fisheries management.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the complex challenges facing small-scale fishing communities. They will have extensive, practical experience of working with coastal communities in Africa, Asia or Central America, and partnering with civil society organisations, non-governmental organisations, government institutions, and other stakeholders to identify and address fishing issues, placing communities at the heart of the solution.

The Role
Resources for Autism has been providing services from 858 Finchley Road for many years and now working in partnership with the London Borough of Barnet are excited to be establishing the space as an Autism Hub for Children and Young People (CYP). The vision of the hub, is to create a welcoming, safe, neuro-affirmative place where autistic people and those who love and care for them can access the support and social opportunities they need at the right time, enabling them to live their best life. It will also be a place where professionals can connect, collaborate and learn ensuring services are joined-up and effective.
The service will offer a range of support to parents and carers and children and young people with autism in Barnet. The service offer could include:
- Advice support and signposting to the autism community pre and post diagnosis
- Weekly drop ins
- Social groups for autistic young people and those who love and care for them.
- Calendar of monthly workshops on specific issues addressing the needs of parent carers/ adults
- Behaviour surgeries for parents
- Autism Training to partner organisations
The Autism Hub Manager is the lead role of this project who will be responsible for certain elements of its direct delivery, managing partnerships and coordinating key professionals and maintaining responsibility for the building/ venue day to day. You will have a small team of Hub Support Workers who will work under your supervision in order to deliver the service/ support as necessary and an administrator. You will work closely with partners and service users to ensure a co-production approach is taken, ensuring that the voice of autistic people is rooted in every element of the project from inception to implementation to evaluation.
We are looking for a values-driven candidate with previous experience of managing projects, managing a venue, advanced knowledge of autism and ability to flex their communication style to meet the needs of the people who use our service, their families, our staff and our volunteers.

Main Responsibilities:
· Overall responsibility for managing this service by ensuring all elements of it are carefully planned, delivered and well communicated across all stakeholders (staff, service users, commissioners, professionals)
· Coordinate time tables of dropins, activities, workshops and other service delivery areas.
· Oversee and manage the general usage of the building, including room usage and room/ desk bookings.

· Work with Marketing to design any materials needed to promote the hub, it’s activities and ensure people can sign up to any training/ workshops that are offered.
· Ensure effective monitoring and evaluation of the project and services delivered within the project capturing and measuring outputs and outcomes and ensuring the project is reviewed on an ongoing basis. Ensure results are communicated to commissioners at regular intervals.
· Work with the wider Resources for Autism teams including colleagues in Behaviour, People Team, Finance and Fundraising, contributing meaningfully to the future direction of RfA.
· Undertake training and development necessary to develop in your role as an autism specialist.

Our London hub specialises in providing housing advice and emergency homelessness work, intensive support to families, people experiencing domestic abuse and people experiencing multiple disadvantages. With 50 staff, we provide front line support to over 5,000 people a year and work to bring about systemic change with the ultimate aim of people being able to live securely in suitable, safe, affordable homes. London Hub’s priorities are improving the practice of local authorities and Registered Social Landlords and focussing on households disproportionately affected by the housing emergency.

Project Worker

Our client
Morgan Hunt is working with a charity who provide accommodation and support for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. We have an urgent need for a number of Project Workers for their supported housing services across Greater Manchester. Working hours are 37 hours per week, predominantly Monday - Friday, with some weekends. Services are covered 8am - 8pm so candidates will need to be flexible to the needs of the service.
The role
As a Project Worker, you will.
- Encourage and assist service users, via support plans, to develop themselves and their independence within the service or by moving on.
- Ensure the upkeep and the security of the building and take responsibility for any cash and equipment under your control.
- Be involved in admission and selection of service users, in conjunction with the Project Leader.
- Carry out regular key-working sessions with service users at the agreed period, to meet their individual needs and keep comprehensive records of all contacts made.
- Support individuals in a way that is trauma informed and solution focused and promotes resilience.
- Be responsible for the efficient keeping of appropriate records including case notes, support plans, financial and administrative records.
- Ensure compliance with the Group's Health and Safety policies including building checks, fire safety checks and raising any repairs with the landlord.
- Make referrals to the appropriate agencies to ensure positive outcomes for vulnerable people.
The candidate
- Able to assess need and to plan and deliver effective, stimulating and dynamic support.
- Able to develop service user, volunteer and community involvement and work in an enabling way including facilitating group activities.
- Able to address equality and diversity issues and an understanding of the needs of volunteers and service users.
- Able to demonstrate personal organisational skills: attendance /timekeeping, planning workload; record keeping, use of IT, managing resources effectively, meet deadlines.
- Able to demonstrate strong communication skills including record keeping, report writing, use of IT and social media platforms.
- Able to be an effective team member and inter agency worker.
- Able to manage risk and associated and ensure that procedures are followed, and risk is managed appropriately.
- The post holder may on occasion be required to travel to other offices and therefore the ability to travel to other offices and locations which may not be easily accessible by public transport.
