Our office is based in Downton and that’s where our monthly Executive Team meetings are held. The charity’s board meetings are typically held in London, so applicants are likely to be living in the south of England. We are a remote working charity, and colleagues in the Services Directorate are based in geographies right across the UK – our Service Director will need to be able to travel to stay connected with our work and responsive to external commitments.

What the job involves
We’re looking for a Volunteer Experience Coordinator to join our friendly Volunteer Experience team. This is a varied and rewarding role in a fun, dynamic environment, you’ll play a key part in supporting colleagues across the organisation to ensure our volunteers have a fantastic experience. From answering enquiries to designing resources, you’ll be helping volunteers feel valued, supported, and equipped to contribute meaningfully at every stage of their journey with us.
You’ll be the first point of contact for all stakeholders for volunteering enquiries and build strong relationships with volunteers and other stakeholders. Your role will also involve working closely with the team to create helpful resources, plan engaging training sessions, and organise events. Additionally, you’ll play a key part in gathering feedback from volunteers and acting on it to continually improve their experience.

About the role
We’re looking for a Digital Experience Manager with a background in managing and developing websites and digital products, as well as previous experience of line management, to join our friendly and expert Digital Team.
As the Digital Experience Manager, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a high-quality, accessible and customer-focused online brand presence by optimising content, journeys and audience experience on our website and other digital platforms. By collaborating with specialists internally and externally across UX, UI, development, SEO, content strategy and content management, you will ensure that the overall digital experience meets brand goals and audience needs by being holistic and engaging and inspiring action.
You will line manage the Developer and Digital Product Officer, providing engaging and motivating leadership, management and personal development support.
You will champion the voices of children and young people with cancer, and their families in everything you do.

What will I be doing?
No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in the job description.
- Lead on the digital experience strategy for the organisation. Using insight to design, implement, test, measure and optimise as needed.
- Product Ownership of the website experience and content strategy for the site, liaising with internal stakeholders as needed.
- Provide expertise around digital journeys, to continually optimise and improve these, across service delivery and fundraising activities.
- Own the overall roadmap for development on the website and work across teams to support the integration and adoption of third-party digital platforms. Prioritise functionality improvement across the team.
- Establish reporting dashboards and models to use website performance, user insight and other digital and campaign metrics to optimise and develop content and journeys, and to monitor the success of new improvements. P
- Develop our approach to user and audience insight and testing to inform improvements and decision making, use data and analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Lead on SEO, ensure our website content follows SEO best practice, and work on strategies to improve our position in search engine results pages.
- Accessibility – ensure that our website meets accessibility standards both from a functional perspective and content design.
- Collaborate with teams across the charity on digital experience initiatives that align with overall business goals: manage the optimisation of our digital platforms and design customer-centric strategies that improve user experience, increase satisfaction and loyalty.
- Take an active role in developing and embedding new ways of working, establishing relationships with other teams and work alongside the Head of Digital to raise the profile and understanding of the team across the charity.
What do I need?
The key skills we’re looking for in this role are:
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of website management, including managing agency relationships.
- An understanding of end-to-end customer journeys and delivering excellent and engaging user experiences.
- Working with content management systems and optimising content for SEO.
- Using GA4, monitoring and reporting on trends and interpreting data for action.
- Experience of project managing website development, including scoping, briefing, testing and deployment.

About the Role
The Corporate Fundraiser will work closely with the Corporate and Community Fundraising Manager to secure new relationships across the Fylde Coat, developing a pipeline of sustainable income. You will identify and secure new opportunities, including corporate partnerships, sponsorships, CRM initiatives, Charity of the Year programs, and gift in-kind donations. Corporate is a very well-established income stream within the fundraising team, but there is still lots of opportunity to grow by building on the brilliant 40 year reputation of donor care and fundraising products.
Working collaboratively with the fundraising team, you will help prepare and deliver corporate sponsorship proposals for all Trinity Hospice events, products and campaigns. You will also plan and facilitate corporate engagement events with the aim of increasing brand awareness amongst local businesses and convert corporate supporters. You'll maintain a donor-centric approach to fundraising, ensuring that current supporters feel appreciated and building long-term holistic relationships.
About You
This role would suit someone who is a natural relationship builder with a talent for finding creative ways to connect with corporate supporters while attracting new businesses opportunities. You'll have worked in a fundraising or business development environment before and will have a track record of meeting financial targets and balancing a demanding workload with competing deadlines.

Job Purpose
This position will lead the established department/s in order to deliver on key priority areas of the Strategic Plan in the areas of: soil, climate and water; integrated crop management and pest ecology; mechanization and post-harvest; crop modeling and technology targeting; remote sensing; adoption; nutrition; and livelihoods, gender and youth issues in agrifood systems. The position will have a key role in strengthening the Institute’s role as a key provider of rice-agrifood systems based outcomes leveraging IRRI’s scientific expertise, international convening role, trusted advisor status, and extensive partnerships network. In addition to being a recognized international expert in the field, the successful applicant will have the leadership experience, standing and personal qualities required to provide inspirational leadership to a group of Research Unit Leaders who will be leading contributions into IRRI’s new cross-institutional functions, and provide strategic guidance in research innovations, partnerships and delivery of program and projects. Department Leaders have a critical role in shaping IRRI’s research for development agenda by bringing together discipline based teams organized through Research Units with cross-institutional functions, in order to ensure both the research and delivery imperatives of IRRI are met.

ActionAid UK has a hybrid working policy for many of our roles. The requirement will vary from team to team and the responsibilities of individual roles. As a minimum, all colleagues are expected to attend the office 12 days per year, plus additional time for induction, training, and “Company Connection days.” Some roles may require in- office attendance on all days and if so, these will clearly be marked as in-office
roles.
