About the role
We’re looking for a case study officer to join our talented and ambitious press, PR and celebrity team.
The successful candidate will support all elements of the charity’s case study function including recruiting and engaging new individuals with the charity who are willing to share their personal experiences of breast cancer to support our work and managing and nurturing key relationships day-to-day so they have the best possible experience when supporting the charity.
A key element of the role will be supporting colleagues in the press, PR and celebrity team to identify and seize opportunities for case studies to share their experiences to raise awareness of breast cancer, Breast Cancer Now and how we’re here for anyone affected by this devastating disease.
You’ll will work with teams across the organisation to support them in sharing the voices of people affected by breast cancer through their work. Liaising closely with colleagues to understand where case study support is required, you’ll identify the people who, through sharing their personal experiences, can best support activities to deliver on charity objectives. Key to this will be gathering the relevant insight and identifying ways we can engage case studies with our work in a way that’s mutually beneficial.
About you
You’ll have a good understanding of issues impacting people affected by breast cancer. With this you’ll have an awareness of, sensitivity to and ability to adapt to their changing needs and circumstances and how this might impact their ability or wish to support the charity’s work.
When engaging individuals with sharing their story to support us, you’ll approach this work with professionalism, sensitivity and care at all times, being sure to identify opportunities bring about mutual benefit for both parties.
Handling sensitive information appropriately at all times is key to this role, and requires you to have a knowledge of GDPR regulations and a commitment to[VS3] following Breast Cancer Now’s compliance and confidentiality regulations. You’ll also be proficient in using CRM tools to store and record interactions and sensitive data relating to supporters.
A strong verbal and written communicator with high levels of organisation, you’ll be prompt in responding to supporters and colleagues appropriately and with clear and accurate information. You will also be a quick learner and work well as part of a fast-paced press, PR and celebrity team.

Working as part of a team of managers, you will plan and deliver marketing acquisition strategies to raise awareness of our work using a blend of digital and traditional channels. You will also work closely with our in-house creative services team to commission and review content, use data and insights to improve our marketing and innovate to help deliver against our EDI strategy.
This role is perfect for you if you are confident using a range of digital marketing skills including using social media channels to run paid campaigns, optimise adverts and generate leads, as well as have a detailed understanding of the marketing communication mix – understanding the right media to reach particular audiences.

Events Assistant

The Events Assistant[CF1] is a crucial role at the College as you will help and support colleagues in the delivery of events, from administrative assistance in planning the events, to the production of event documentation, branding or collateral, in addition to liaising with events stakeholders, including speakers, programme leads and delegates.
As Events Assistant, you will provide comprehensive administrative support for online event registration, delegate bookings, delegate communications and associated queries. You will be the first point of contact for event queries, so maintaining a good knowledge of College events and other relevant activities is essential.
Assisting in the research and promotion of opportunities for sponsorship for all events, you will distribute sponsorship packages, confirm sponsorship acquisitions and ensure requirements are fulfilled onsite. You will also produce proposals for assigned events, including timelines, venues, suppliers, draft budgets and staffing requirements.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Events, you will help with the delivery of College conferences and study days by providing administrative support for the development of programmes and course materials, whilst also collating and reporting on key event statistics to support the evaluation of the events programme.
With a good level of education,[CF2] you should have a background in customer-facing roles, be an excellent verbal and written communicator and have experience of interacting via email, telephone and in-person.
With an understanding of GDPR and an excellent level of computer knowledge, keyboard skills and software, you should be able to use and format documents on the Microsoft platform and have the ability to learn new software packages.
Knowledge of events and conferencing, including the processes surrounding the delivery of events, as well as experience of event administration would be desirable. Research and data analysis skills along with the ability to use social media to promote activity would also be advantageous. Travel across the UK and occasional overnight stays are part of this role.

As Development Officer (Operations), you will lead the implementation of LAMDA's new fundraising database system of Raiser’s Edge, including data migration, system optimisation, and creation of comprehensive documentation.

Purpose
The purpose of the role will be to lead business development across Development Pathways with the aim of sustaining and expanding our business portfolio through engaging with more clients and business opportunities, overseeing the development of new products, building our consultant and associate network, enhancing our internal capacity to generate business and maintaining and developing our brand through effective communications.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Head of Business Development are:
Strategy and leadership:
· Developing and leading our business development strategy and plan to consolidate our current portfolio and move us into new areas of growth.
· Providing strategic oversight and management to improve business development functions and increase fee-based revenue, coordinating across our country offices.
· Building and managing to a high standard a strong business development and communications team aligned to the needs of the organisation.
· Ensuring that we are aware of the latest trends in our focus sectors, monitoring competitors and reviewing Pathways’ offering considering competitors’ developments.
· Participating in the Senior Management Team and contributing to leadership and decision-making across Development Pathways
New business development:
· Setting up and maintaining systems and procedures for detecting potential business and tender opportunities through different channels (e.g. online portals, outreach, etc.)
· Building relationships with decision makers within potential client organisations and partners.
· Developing and growing our network of consultants, ensuring Pathways has access to the right knowledge and skills to implement new projects.
· Overseeing the timely delivery of high-quality proposals, submissions and bids across the organisation.
· Oversee the monitoring and evaluating of our business development opportunities.
Communications and marketing:
· Overseeing our communications portfolio including the development of high-quality materials to promote our services and brand to new clients and to reflect best practice in the thematic areas and locations within which we operate.
· Ensuring that our brand reflects Pathways’ values, expertise and the requirements of the global marketplace
· Securing conference opportunities and sustaining general brand development opportunities.
· In coordination with our technical team, ensuring that we maintain our reputation as a thought leader in international development, in particular, on social protection.

The Head of Business Development is a key leadership position within Development Pathways. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for business development. They will lead a small team in London and engage with our offices in Kenya, Australia and Jordan to support and guide them as they engage in business development. We are partnering with a compelling health charity who are seeking a Community and Events Fundraising Officer for a 6 month fixed term contract, 3 or 4 days per week. You will help drive and deliver their ambitious fundraising strategy and support the delivery of the charity’s events programme.
You will be responsible for:
- Research venues, online platforms, caterers, materials, suppliers, speakers etc. depending on the nature of each event
- Working closely with the Fundraising and Events Team Manager, create and monitor a risk management process and ensure this is followed for each event
- In conjunction with the Fundraising and Events Team Manager, ensure there is a clear event plan with objectives and financial targets for each event, led by a Return on Investment (ROI) methodology.
- Explore corporate sponsorship opportunities and gifts-in-kind for events in conjunction with relevant colleagues across the organisation
- Source raffle prizes and auction lots to develop a ‘bank’ of prizes that can be used at events - creating a prize database and ensuring we have full and accurate information
