We are looking for an experienced and driven fundraiser to raise new income for our Charity.
The Empowerment Group supports individuals aged 14+ of Black heritage in the UK, facing mental health challenges through online therapy.
The Role:
You will hold lead responsibility for the charity’s new business opportunities and income generation, ensuring the development opportunities are effectively maximised.
As Fundraising Officer your responsibility would primarily be to identify and complete tenders for contracts suited to the work of our organisation both locally and nationally. Your responsibility would also include identifying and completing trust funding applications to Trust funders. You would be responsible for developing fundraising programs/products, recruiting individual and corporate sponsors and encouraging support through promotional activities.
Key duties include:
- Develop the business fundraising strategy to include methods on how to engage potential donors, including single events and detailed campaigns
- Identifying contracting opportunities and funders where our work aligns
- Develop and maintain relationships with potential bid partners and funders
- Writing contract tenders and bid proposals
- Develop, organise, and deliver fundraising events where applicable
- Research potential individual and corporate donors
- Assist in planning and coordinating events to raise income and coordinate activities of volunteers and interns related to event planning and execution
- Maintain complete records of funders and manage regular funder communications including project reports
- Support in completing new and existing monitoring and bi-monthly performance reporting to the CEO
About you:
You will be an experienced fundraiser who can demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will have extensive experience in contracts and tendering with local councils and government where the majority of opportunities will arise.
Your knowledge, skills, and experience will include:
- Demonstrable track record as a successful fundraiser and business development professional in the charitable sector.
- Knowledge of the charitable sector, funders, council and government contracts.
- Understanding of the experiences of people who live with significant mental distress and the impact of trauma, racism and discrimination on mental health.
- Must work flexibly to meet the needs of the role (including evening/weekend if required to meet funding application deadlines)
- Knowledge and understanding of GDPR regulations.
- Attend team meetings and be a proactive member.
- Proven track record of generating income for a charity.
- Quick thinker and ability to make decisions under pressure.

Grants Fundraiser

Position: Freelance Fundraiser
Daily Rate: Circa £250 per day
Location: Home-based, with monthly travel to London

About the Role
Team Up is looking for a passionate and experienced Freelance Fundraiser to drive our fundraising efforts and secure vital funding to support our mission. You will develop and implement fundraising strategies, focusing on securing income from trusts, foundations, corporate partners, and high-net-worth individuals (HNWI’s).
Key responsibilities include:
· Developing and executing a fundraising plan to meet annual targets (c. £300k).
· Researching, writing, and submitting compelling funding bids.
· Building and managing relationships with funders, ensuring long-term partnerships.
· Driving multi-year funding opportunities, securing grants of £10k-£50k+.
· Overseeing the work of a junior part-time fundraiser focused on small grants.
· Managing all grant reporting, ensuring timely submissions to funders.
· Ensuring compliance with GDPR and fundraising best practices.
· Supporting the CEO with corporate and strategic HNWI fundraising projects.
About You
You will need to be a self-motivated and proactive fundraiser with a strong track record of securing income for small to medium-sized charities.
Essential skills and experience include:
· Proven success in fundraising from trusts, foundations, corporates, and HNWIs.
· Ability to research funders, write compelling bids, and manage relationships.
· Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to work independently and meet targets.
· A commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.

· Experience working with education or socio-economic disadvantage charities.

About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Art Director to join our award-winning in-house creative team. This is your chance to shape compelling campaigns that inspire action, drive awareness, and create a tangible impact. You’ll bring a unique blend of big ideas, strategic thinking, and hands-on design skills to ensure Shelter’s messages resonate powerfully across all platforms.
From ideation to launch, you’ll be responsible for delivering ambitious, research-driven concepts and solutions. You should feel equally at home designing to our brand guidelines and leading the charge on your own innovative concepts. Occasionally, you’ll also step in to support with general design needs, ensuring that all outputs for the Shelter brand meet the highest creative standards while maintaining brand consistency. A strong command of Adobe Creative Suite is essential.
In this varied, fast-paced, and rewarding role, you’ll collaborate closely with colleagues— specifically working alongside our Senior conceptual Copywriter taking briefs from concept to completion. You’ll lead some projects independently while receiving support and guidance from the Creative Lead when needed. The role offers an opportunity to work across a range of media, including print, TV, social media, and experiential designs. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation, creating communications for teams in fundraising, campaigns, services, and occasionally retail.
You’ll also take on a mentoring role for one of our in-house designers, helping them develop their creative skills while ensuring their work consistently represents the Shelter brand to the highest standards. Supporting their wellbeing in the workplace will also be part of your leadership approach.

About the Role
Are you someone who is passionate about seeing positive change in our world? Can you bring knowledge and creativity in designing innovative and effective peacebuilding programmes?
We are looking for someone to support our programmes and institutional fundraising with excellent writing skills, who is passionate about addressing the root causes of and inequalities caused by conflict. You will be someone passionate about the work Cord does and who can bring technical institutional funding expertise alongside peacebuilding knowledge to our small and committed team.
In this role you will lead the development of new programmes and institutional funding bids in line with Cord’s peacebuilding approach and 5 main programme areas. You will manage proposal submissions to Cord’s key donors such as the EU, US State Department, GIZ, SDC, UN Peacebuilding Fund etc. You will be working closely with country teams to design and write proposals based on strong project designs developed in partnership with our local partners.
The role will also operate at a strategic level by managing Cord’s relationships with key donors and shaping how Cord communicates about its programmes and the added-value that Cord brings.
