About the role

Development Group generates philanthropic and sponsorship income to help us create a Natural History Museum for the future – investing in capital development, attaining vital acquisitions for the collection, transforming our galleries, developing innovative exhibitions and undertaking ground-breaking scientific research on issues that affect us all.

The Museum is looking for a natural relationship builder and excellent communicator for the role of Philanthropy Manager (Trusts and Foundations). Working closely with the Senior Philanthropy Manager (Trusts and Foundations) and based within the wider Philanthropy team, the role will support delivery of the trusts and foundations strategy.

We launch a major capital campaign in the autumn to restore and revitalise a significant proportion of our galleries, which will engage and inspire millions more advocates for our planet. There is real potential for this role to build a rich portfolio of trusts and foundations and contribute significantly towards the Museum's most ambitious ever campaign. 

The role will provide substantial opportunity for professional development within a world-leading cultural organisation.

About you

The successful candidate will possess experience in securing and managing grants from trusts and foundations, including research, crafting compelling proposals, and effective stewardship. They will have exceptional written and oral communication skills, with an ability to convey detailed information in a concise and engaging manner.

An ability to establish productive relationships with a variety of funders, prospects and colleagues is imperative, as well as being able to work proactively and constructively with colleagues to develop high-quality project proposals. This person is able to act as an ambassador for the Natural History Museum amongst a range of high-profile external contacts. They possess exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills and can prioritise and meet regular deadlines whilst working under pressure.

The role:

This role is perfect for anybody with the requisite skills who is looking for a career within fundraising or the creative industry. Our Corporate Partnerships Officer will be responsible for assisting the Corporate Partnerships Manager in raising money through corporate contacts to meet financial targets. The successful candidate will act as the first point of contact for all corporate enquiries and offer administrative support through record-keeping on the database, managing event bookings, liaising cross-organisationally to secure spaces for events, and working with our in-house caterers, Swan Restaurant and Bar. The Corporate Partnerships Officer will also take a lead role on the creation of marketing assets, monthly corporate newsletters, website updates and the redevelopment or refreshing of our offers (e.g. private box packages) when required.

The skills:

We are looking for a highly-organised and efficient individual with excellent diary management skills and the ability to communicate confidently across all levels of seniority, both internally and externally. The successful candidate will be confident in meeting corporate clients, handling logistics for event bookings and will ideally have experience of using a CRM, such as Tessitura.

Our candidate should also be confident in identifying new business prospects and engaging potential clients either in-person, via email or over the phone. MS Office proficiency is required, as are excellent communication skills across all mediums, and an ability to work as part of a team or independently, using your initiative.

The Shakespeare Globe Trust is a registered charity (No. 266916). Shakespeare’s Globe receives no annual subsidy from the Arts Council and, therefore, raises a critically important percentage of funds from the public each year. The Development Team focuses on nurturing relationships with Individuals, Trusts and Foundations and Corporates to support us and raise funds across three income streams: revenue, commercial, and capital. The Role

You will be at the heart of the theatre’s mission, ensuring that financial practices not only meet but exceed industry standards.

You will work closely with the Executive and Senior Management team, providing strategic financial guidance to both the Executive and the Board of Trustees. Your expertise will ensure the theatre meets its financial and governance obligations while directly impacting exciting and diverse activities.

About You

You will be a qualified or soon to be Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA) and hold membership of and be accountable to a professional body with evidence of ongoing CPD.

You will have experience of:

• Taking responsibility for the financial running of an organisation with a similar turnover, preferably within the arts or charitable sector.
• Statutory reporting
• Setting/ managing significant budgets and working within financial parameters.
• Supporting and developing the financial skills of senior managers
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with Executive teams and Boards.

After nine successful years of growth, underpinned by a strong mission, clear artistic vision, and successful fundraising, the Chineke! Foundation is looking for an efficient and dynamic Concert Coordinator to manage the orchestra’s library, and support in the planning and delivery of our ambitious diary.

The Concert Coordinator will be part of the projects team working closely with the Senior Projects Manager (SPM) and reporting directly to the Concert and Tour Manager (CTM). You will be involved in the planning and execution of all Chineke! Orchestra and Chineke! Chamber Ensemble projects, including supporting the management team on site at rehearsals and concerts, and to ensure the smooth operation of the orchestra’s library.

This role would suit someone who would be interested in furthering their experience within orchestral management and is looking for a role that will challenge them, working closely within a small team.

Job description

Reporting to the CTM and in coordination with the SPM, you will work together to ensure the smooth-running of all rehearsal and performance activities and be responsible for the management of the orchestra’s library. Responsibilities include:

· Sourcing/hiring, preparation, and distribution of music (e.g. preparing physical and digital music for each concert, including inputting bowings). You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining our digital library catalogue.

· Collating all project details, and putting together project schedules, tour itineraries, stage plans, and keeping track of responses from musicians being booked for projects.

· Assisting with booking rehearsal venues/recording studios and ensuring the orchestra’s needs are communicated to venues in the form of a tech rider.

· Overseeing the co-ordination of instrument hire and arranging for their delivery and return e.g. percussion, harpsichord, celeste etc.

· Assisting the CTM with arranging travel and accommodation when required, supporting foreign players, conductors, and soloists with any international travel requirements and organising official documentation (e.g. carnets, visas, work permits).

· Organising paperwork (recording consent forms etc) for UK recordings.

· Being present at all rehearsals, concerts, and events (both within the UK and on foreign tours) to support with set up, pack down, and other general tasks. Deputising at rehearsals/concerts when the SPM/CTM are not present.

· Attending regular management meetings as required. Preparing and circulating agendas, taking minutes, and following up with action points for the team.

· Gathering data for the transition to using OPAS management software.

· Other reasonable tasks as required.

• Lead the RSL’s direct digital marketing to Members, Fellows and subscribers, growing audiences and ensuring GDPR compliance

This new role will be central to the operation of the Artistic Director’s office, balancing a large amount of detailed administration with high-level relationship management, planning and discretionary decision-making. The job focuses particularly on managing the Artistic Director’s schedule and capacity; managing extensive internal and external communications and correspondence; and supporting delivery of the Artistic Director’s agenda through the artistic team and wider organization. 

The role will manage a high volume of confidential correspondence, detailed planning information, artistic and stakeholder relationships and internal workflows. This will require exceptional organisational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to act with independent initiative, sensitivity and discretion including under pressure and during busy times. • Detailed experience in a previous administrative and/or organisational role in a busy departmental or office environment.

• Understanding of the theatre and/or wider arts sector, including insight and sensitivity into challenges and relationship management artists and key stakeholders.

The Creative Producer will be a key role in developing, culminating and hosting our week-long interactive public arts experience ‘Ruby Tales – Celebrating 40 Years of METRO’ for our 40th anniversary.  You will help organise and facilitate a series of creative workshops for our supporters and service users, as well as curating and programming a final interactive experience which will run for one week.

METRO is an equality, diversity and inclusion services charity that runs health, community and youth services across London and the south east. We started in 1984 as the Greenwich Lesbian and Gay Centre. Today METRO supports anyone experiencing issues around sexuality, gender, equality, diversity and identity across five areas: Youth, Mental health & wellbeing, Sexual health, HIV, and Community. 

This year is our 40th – ruby – anniversary. We’re taking the opportunity to increase our fundraising, and tell people about our charity, our history, the work that we do and the many stories that show our work, our impact, and our people.

We plan run 40 creative workshops for staff and service users to tell our stories, and create assets which can be shared with a wider public to tell the stories of METRO. Half of these will be done ‘in house’ with existing staff, and half will be organised by the Creative Producer, using outside facilitators of their choosing. These will culminate in an interactive exhibition, to be shown in February 2025.

Role

Working alongside colleagues in the Communications Policy and Research (CPR) team, the Creative Producer will have a lead role in shaping this programme of events. They will act as lead contact for our external guest workshop facilitators, making budget decisions and communicating relevant details to ensure our additional 20 workshops run smoothly, safely and successfully.

The Creative Producer will collate creations from our 40 workshop sessions to help design and install an engaging, interactive exhibition that will run for one week in November 2024. You will play a key role in facilitating a launch event with an invited audience of partners, charities, stakeholders, councillors and VIPs.

We are working in partnership with The Tank Museum (a registered charity) to secure their new Head of Curatorial Services. Based at Bovington Camp, the home of the tank, the Museum boasts the most comprehensive collection of armoured fighting vehicles in the world, representing every major conflict since the First World War; from the mud of the Somme to the beaches of Normandy and the deserts of Iraq – featuring powerful stories from the soldiers that fought in them. The Museum, which attracts over 200,000 visitors a year, also founded and host the annual event, TANKFEST, as well as displaying a strong supporting collection of medals, photographs, film, sound recordings, fine art, books, weapons, models and memorabilia. The entire collection of this Accredited Museum is “Designated” as being of outstanding national importance – a testament to its uniqueness, quality and the expertise of those who care for it. 

The Head of Curatorial Services role sits on The Leadership Team and the new postholder will act as a connection between the curatorial and commercial aspects of the Museum. Embedding the Curatorial Services Department into the day-to-day strategic thinking of the Museum, leading the Museum specific functions of The Tank Museum and integrating it fully within the organisation will be key. The role is a trading company Board position, which carries Board membership accountability, including attending, and reporting to the Board of Trustees. 

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

• Extensive experience in a museum/heritage environment/s
• Proven managerial experience, including leading a team
• Post graduate qualification in a relevant area of study
• Museum, Library or Archive qualification or have substantial relevant experience in a similar organisation

An exceptional finance leader with proven experience of all the main elements of running and developing a finance function, including management and statutory accounts production, budget setting, forecasting, cashflow management, fund accounting and reserves monitoring.  In addition, the candidate will have experience of oversight of HR and IT functions, reporting to multiple boards, managing competing priorities and strategic leadership on the financial and operational elements of the business plan. 

A role for a passionate and fun individual with excellent communication skills to work with the wider business to ensure that income and cost of sales are accurate. The Assistant Management Accountant will report across a variety of events, providing management information and budgetary support to department managers. 

This is a full time, permanent post working 09:00 - 17:30 Monday to Friday.

Key duties includes

1.  Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
2. Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts
3. Perform cost analysis and assist in the preparation of cost reports
4. Reconcile balance sheet accounts
5. Maintain and update financial databases and systems
6. Monitor and report on departmental expenditure
7. Ensure transactions are processed accurately and in line with policies

You will:

• Be part qualified or working towards either CIMA or ACCA qualifications
• Have proven experience in a similar role preferably gained in retail, hospitality or leisure
• Experience working with advanced computerised accounting packages
• Broad practical experience working on both purchase and sales ledgers
