Women and Girls Network (WGN) is a specialist therapeutic service leading in developing and delivering innovative and effective counselling services for women and girls who have experienced all forms of gender-based violence. About the role

We seek Specialist Counsellors who will thrive in a multi-cultural feminist environment. We are particularly keen to hear from applicants who have experience of working with one or more of the following:

• Women and girls from Black, Minority, and Global Majority communities – ensuring that issues related to diversity and identity are effectively understood and sensitively worked with
• Working with young people
• Delivering counselling in person and via web chat and online platforms

We will be offering between 14 to 21 hours (2 to 3 days) a week, dependent on service requirements and the skill-sets of successful candidates.

About you

Applicants must be BACP, UKCP or HCPC accredited (or eligible) and a commitment to   providing a range of counselling interventions for women and girls who have been subjected to gender-based violence. The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the following: gender responsive approach, trauma focused, holistic therapeutic responses and multicultural competencies. The Heaney Cluster an intensively supported housing scheme for the most challenging customers in the borough. The majority of the customers come with a history of entrenched rough sleeping; often coupled with enduring mental health difficulties. The aim is to offer a home to those who would have difficulty finding accommodation because of their lifestyle choices involving extreme drug and alcohol misuse. The high support hostel caters for eleven service users with complex needs and is staffed 24 hours a day with the minimum of three staff on duty. The medium support services are staffed from 9am to 9pm where the customers present with varying degrees of mental health issues.
Enhanced Support Workers will devise person centered support plans with customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet their needs and goals. This will include sign posting them to the local drug and alcohol services to address substance misuse issues. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices.

This role requires a valid Right to Work for the UK as Look Ahead are not a sponsoring organisation.

What you'll do:

Undertake key-working responsibilities for a caseload assigned by the Team Leader/ Manager.
Ensure that referrals are chased proactively so that properties which can be used to house those in need are filled as efficiently as possible
Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks and agree levels of support and actions
Create support/action plans for providing appropriate services based on the assessment and reflecting the services and resources available

Overall role and responsibilities

1. Financial Management

• As part of a small team you will also need the ability to turn your hand to a variety of tasks.

mySociety is a small, purposeful charity which uses digital tools to help people to participate more fully in democracy, make governments and society more transparent and help people work together to address societal challenges. We’re looking for an experienced fundraiser who has the research, proposal writing and budget development experience to deliver on our fundraising strategy by securing new sources of income from grant making foundations and government programmes, coupled with the strategic planning and management skills to further diversify our income by building our individual donations. You’ll be providing maternity cover and working as part of a nimble, digital-first, and entirely remote team - you can work from anywhere in the UK! You will have the opportunity to meet your colleagues face to face at our quarterly in person team meetings.

The role requires developing existing connections and leads and identifying and building new relationships in order to deliver ~£1 million a year in funding. You’ll be our sole fundraiser, coordinating with our Chief Executive and brilliant, friendly, multidisciplinary programme teams to develop workable, fundable proposals, and to manage and report on grants, acting as the main relationship holder for funders. You will need to be inventive in seeking out potential new funders, and to quickly grasp how the organisation works, with a good understanding of how our technology-led climate, transparency and democracy programmes sit within and extend the reach of broader systems of impact.

• Deliver on and refine our four year fundraising strategy, building and maintaining a good understanding of the needs of each of our programmes, priorities and desired charitable goals

This is a fixed-term maternity cover contract with a pro-rated salary in the range of £55,000 to £65,000 per year, plus pension (4% employer, 4% employee).

Your new role

Working under the remit of the Head of Data Engineering as part of the Digital Directorate, the Data Engineers will be key members of the Data Engineering team working primarily on day to day ETL operations, as well as working with the wider Performance Team and Digital Team to meet the data management needs of the Trust.

As a Data Engineer you will be fundamental in developing and constructing data models for our services data warehousing needs as well as integrating them into systems and business processes to support self-serve reporting, compliance reporting and third-party data integrations.
You will provide specialist advice across a range of IM&T areas e.g. applications, information interpretation, data analysis, information reporting, information governance.

As an experienced Data professional with proven skills of managing and maintaining a data warehouse within a large organisation, you will have expertise in writing ETL scripts and code and ensuring that the ETL process performs optimally. The role requirement will involve implementing data flows to connect operational systems, data for analytics and business intelligence (BI) systems.

A key responsibility will be to re-engineer manual data flows to enable scaling and repeatable use in an automated way and to support the build of data streaming systems. You should have a thorough understanding of the concepts and principles of data modelling and metadata management, and you will need to be able to design, code and execute test scripts to support ETL processes defined within our platforms.

You should possess strong in-depth knowledge of Database Administration with MSSQL Server and expert knowledge of Microsoft Azure / AWS Platforms (Specifically Cloud Storage, Compute and Databases).
