About the Role

This role is an exciting opportunity to work for Mind BLMK as part of the Fundraising & Engagement Team.

Acting as the first point of contact for all Fundraising & Comms enquiries and in line with Mind BLMK’s Fundraising and Communications Strategy, this is a busy role and will require excellent stewardship and donor care skills as well as meticulous organisation and innovative thinking. As an Ambassador for Mind BLMK, you will need to have a passion for mental health and an ability to operate at all levels.

The successful applicant will generate income and support all aspects of communication and marketing, to help to maximise local support, raise awareness of our work in the community, and by providing exceptional supporter stewardship, in line with Mind BLMK’s Fundraising and Communication strategy.

Key Duties

• Engage and support stewardship and donor care for Mind BLMK’s individual givers, corporates, groups, volunteers and other supporters of the charity, in line with the fundraising strategy.
• Send and engage with donors, appropriate information and materials to support their fundraising at Mind BLMK.
• Ensure supporter interaction points (telephone, post, email) adhere to the highest standard.
• Support fundraising and engagement in the development of new partnerships with corporates, organisations, and individuals, to support income growth.
• Support and engage with the fundraiser, donor through the customer journey.
• Work with the wider team at Mind BLMK and with our national partners at Mind.
• Contact by phone, email and meet supporters or potential supporters of Mind BLMK and communicate key messages and ensure their fundraising is promoted and celebrated across all social media channels.
• Support the implementation of marketing strategies and targeted campaigns; plan, develop, and ensure the production of multi-media communications, PR, and marketing materials.
• Support the data capture, monitoring of and reporting on the effectiveness of marketing, PR and publicity activities, making recommendations as required.
• Ensure the quality assurance for the implementation of Mind branding guidelines and specifications across the organisation; reviewing, monitoring, and advising as necessary to ensure corporate identity is maintained in line with Mind BLMK policies and procedures.
• Support the functions of the publication and distribution of press materials, news stories, and updates, both internally and externally.
• Support the maintenance of Mind BLMK’s websites, social media accounts, Mailchimp newsletters, and web administration profiles and content (including but not limited to - Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linked In).

The Vacancy

The Methodist Church is at an exciting point in the development of its ministry with young adults (18-30). We are seeking to appoint someone with enthusiasm and passion for seeing young adults connect with God and explore their calling as a follower of Christ.

This role is integral to the delivery of the Young Adult Ministry Development Plan, and will focus on the following priorities:

• The management, development and advocacy of a new Young Adult Mission Placement Scheme, which aims to provide opportunities for young adults to be employed (or volunteer) in mission-focused placements in local churches and circuits where they can explore their vocation.

• Advocating for, supporting and enabling creative and relevant young adult ministry to be started and embedded in circuits and districts by journeying with local circuits/districts, providing advice and mentoring as appropriate to pilot creative projects for young adults to engage with and grow in discipleship and vocation.

The Role

The Children, Young People and Families Engagement Officer will help to lead engagement with children, young people, their families and caregivers at the Cathedral working across the whole of the Cathedral’s life and with churches in the Deanery and in the Diocese and other partners.

The Creative Learning & Discovery team is newly refocussed, and the Children, Young People and Families Engagement Officer will work closely with the newly appointed Creative Learning Officer who will line manage this post.

You will be educated to GNVQ level 4 or equivalent, have experience of churches and how they operate, have worked with children in previous roles and have excellent administrative skills.

This role forms a crucial element of the KCLSU and KCL Leadership Learning Initiative, a joint project designed to foster leadership skills among students, particularly those from under-represented backgrounds.

Herts Young Homeless is an independent charity and has been supporting vulnerable young people in Hertfordshire since 1998. We are professional, passionate, collaborative and supportive charity that provides guidance to young people in need of support.

Future Roots Supported accommodation is located in Welwyn Garden City. We are looking fo a Supported Accommodation Worker who will support the 5 Housemates to learn the skills they require to live independently, whilst ensuring the accommodation is a safe and homely environment to live in. The role will require a reasonable degree of flexibility, to respond to the needs of the house. This may include changes to working patterns or additional ‘sleep in’ nights’’ paid at an additional rate.’’support.

You will support them to achieve a successful move on in their life and  you will be instrumental in ensuring that those living in the house accept and abide by the house rules.

What will you be doing? 

• Manage a varied caseload with differing timescales and deadlines.

• Be involved in the screening and interview process of potential new Housemates. 

• Build a professional and trusting relationship with the young people to enable to them to engage with the support and improve their situation and prospects. 

• Provide 1-1 and group support and opportunities to learn identified life skills for independent living, using a range of tools and skills, including hyh’s ASDAN training package.

• To identify any risk factors and ensure appropriate measures are in place. 

• Sleep at the accommodation overnight on an adhoc basis and in the case of an emergency or organsiational need.  An additional payment will be made to cover for any overnight shifts required,

• Report any safeguarding (child protection) concerns to your line-manager and refer as appropriate 

• Be part of a team responsible to ensure the property is meeting all requiredstandards, which will include: 

  • Regular Health and Safety checks 

  • Co-ordinating Building maintenance 

  • Risk Assessments 

• To promote and facilitate Youth Engagement across the service 

• Engage effectively in multi-agency working, developing collaborative relationships and partnerships with relevant staff in a range of agencies to broker and co-ordinate support for young people. 

• Ensure all service administration tasks are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner.

• Immerse hyh’s values into your professional practice at all times.
• Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with external agencies and partners to ensure we are a provider of choice.
• Actively participate and provide valued contributions in supervision, team meetings and other meetings as appropriate.
• Work as part of a team by supporting, communicating, and engaging with your colleagues.

• Candidates Must have a full clean driving license and use of own vehicle for business purposes
• Able to demonstrate an understanding of the problems facing homeless young people.
• Ability to engage and motivate young people, strong interpersonal skills including the ability to be appropriately assertive
• Excellent understanding of confidentially with strict professional boundaries and personal integrity
• Excellent planning, organisational & time management skills
• An understanding of the voluntary sector and the constraints placed upon voluntary sector organisation (desirable) 
• Have a flexible working approach to the needs of the service users.

We are looking for a Marketing Coordinator to coordinate the marketing activity of the Students’ Union throughout the year, taking the lead on campaigns and projects such as Varsity, the Leadership Race, Sustainability Conference, International Festival and End of Year Awards, working with 10+ departments across the Union. The Marketing Coordinator will also support, train, and advise these departments and Sabbatical Officers on the development and delivery of effective marketing plans helping the Union to achieve its objectives

This is a full time and fixed term contract role until 31 July 2025. This role is also a hybrid working role, where 40% of the role will be on campus based.
