As a small yet dynamic team, we pride ourselves on our personal touch and can-do approach. We need an ambitious and tenacious Head of Fundraising, responsible for overseeing and growing the fundraising department, developing and delivering an ambitious fundraising strategy.

Key information:

Location: Remote working. (UK only) Must be able to attend a minimum of 5 mandatory meetings per year (includes overnight stay for 2-day meetings) at our office in Shrewsbury and occasional meetings elsewhere.

Contract: Permanent. Full time 37.5 hours a week. 

Salary: Between £39,000 – £44,000 a year depending on experience,

Job Purpose

As the Head of Fundraising, your primary responsibility is to lead the strategic direction and execution of Village Water’s fundraising efforts, with a focus on diversifying income streams and maximising revenue generation. You will oversee all fundraising activities, particularly in Trusts and Foundations (both UK and International), corporate partnerships, High Value Donors, and statutory bodies. Your role involves crafting compelling funding applications and reports, creating an ambitious fundraising strategy, applying for and securing large multi-year grants from new and existing donors, ensuring exemplary donor stewardship, and fostering collaboration across teams to achieve fundraising goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine a comprehensive fundraising strategy, with a specific emphasis on Trusts and Foundations & corporate fundraising, to ensure a steady pipeline of funding opportunities. Coordinate with team members to meet fundraising targets effectively and manage donation pipelines working with CEO and Finance manager to ensure the pipeline matches the cashflow.

• Directly oversee and support your team members, conduct performance evaluations, and provide coaching to ensure both individual and team objectives are achieved. (currently the team is 3)

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential donors, including Trusts, Foundations, Corporates and Statutory bodies, through proactive engagement and personalized stewardship.

• Collaborate closely with colleagues to develop persuasive proposals and impactful reports that effectively communicate Village Water’s mission and achievements.

• Plan and implement annual fundraising campaigns.

• Work closely with monitoring and finance teams to accurately assess impact and budgetary needs, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to donors.

• Maintain accurate donor records and ensure compliance with data protection regulations within Village Water’s database.

General

• Foster a collaborative work environment by engaging with staff, volunteers, suppliers, and local partners.

• Actively participate in networking events to expand Village Water’s connections and fundraising opportunities.

• Provide regular updates at team meetings and Trustee meetings as required.

Skills and Experience

• Proven track record in securing funds from Trusts and Foundations, Corporates and Statutory, including large awards.

• Familiarity with complex application and reporting processes.

The Role

Working across both Social Mind and Social Sync as a Customer Success Manager you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our non-profit clients succeed in their digital fundraising endeavours.

You will oversee the complete lifecycle of client engagement, from onboarding to support and retention, ensuring they fully leverage our platform's capabilities and agency expertise.

You will act as a strategic advisor, guiding clients through their journey with Social Mind and helping them optimise their campaigns for maximum impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Relationship Management:
  • Work closely with Growth team to deliver smooth and effective handover milestones to ensure ongoing client confidence.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders at non-profit organisations, understanding their digital fundraising goals and aligning our solutions with their strategic objectives.
  • Conduct regular check-ins and strategic reviews to assess client satisfaction, gather feedback and identify opportunities to increase value and reduce churn across Social Mind and Social Sync.
  • Explore different ways in which clients may benefit from new agency services as our offer diversifies in line with market trends and demands.
• Onboarding and Adoption:
  • Ensure client satisfaction by keeping internal teams well briefed to successfully deliver agreed client requirements to a high standard and on time.
  • Collaborate cross functionally to ensure clients have everything needed for successful campaign launches and ongoing optimisations.
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive adoption and engagement with our platform, tailoring approaches to each client’s unique needs and goals.
• Success Planning and Outcomes:
  • Create and manage comprehensive success plans for clients, setting clear goals and regularly reviewing progress to ensure they achieve their desired outcomes.
  • Provide best practices and strategic recommendations to help clients elevate their fundraising efforts and fully utilise our platform and agency offering.
  • Act as the internal voice of the customer, gathering feedback and collaborating with our Product and Development teams to drive enhancements that meet client needs.

Skills and Knowledge

• Strong knowledge and understanding of non-profit fundraising, particularly social and digital fundraising.
• Experience with managing multi-channel campaigns and understanding campaign lifecycle from planning to post-campaign analysis.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of managing complex stakeholder interactions and inspiring action through data and case studies.
• Tech-savvy, with a strong interest in learning about our platform and the ability to provide technical guidance to clients.

Ideally you will possess a thorough knowledge of UK policy processes and have experience of policy research and analysis and the ability to rapidly synthesise information and make recommendations for a policy audience.

The role will work directly with schools to deliver national research projects, support their onboarding to our School Impact Platform, and lead communications and data collection for our partnerships. Property Resources Officer

We are offering a unique and exciting opportunity to join in the work of the Connexional Property Support team and the wider Methodist Church in delivering its strategic plan to make the best use of its buildings for mission in local communities across the country.

Working alongside the Director and colleagues within the team, you will be helping to provide the essential support and guidance the team offers to Trustees, Ministers, Connexional colleagues and the wider church.

Your role will be varied, including supporting colleagues in their specific areas of work and expertise - from listed buildings to net zero initiatives.  You will also lead on engagement with Trustees and alike who are seeking advice and guidance in relation to a variety of property resource needs.  This could be through the provision of proactive support of and input into, relevant forms of guidance, communications and funding, community engagement, training and good practice.

Alongside this, you will lead on the communications and resourcing to the District Property Officer network and other relevant networks, across the Connexion.

You will also support the Director in the administration of property related grants.

About You

We are looking for someone who wants to make a positive contribution to the work of the Property Support team and be equally comfortable collaborating in a team environment or under your own initiative.  You will have experience supporting a senior team, and preferably have property or project management experience, although this is not essential.

As the role will underpin and contribute to supporting the team’s work with external colleagues, particularly the District Property Officer network, it is essential that you are comfortable in engaging with a range of stakeholders, and have excellent organisational skills, particularly in terms of resourcing and training.

The Impact Coordinator will support the Centre’s impact management and research strategy through a robust analysis of our clients current and future programmes of work, to ensure they achieve their aim of enabling their community to thrive and can communicate the difference their work is making, clearly and with confidence.

This role builds on their significant investment in the development of their evaluation principles, the development of the Outcomes Framework, the CRM development, community research and in team ability and capacity to engage with data and impact.

The role will promote a positive culture of collaboration, innovation and inclusivity across the organisation and with external stakeholders. It will also support the development of innovative, inspiring and viable service propositions.

Key responsibilities

The role includes the following duties however these may change as the post evolves:

• Work with the delivery teams to ensure they collect the right data, qualitative and quantitative, to demonstrate their impact.
• Support the delivery of a common evaluation approach across the organisation, building on commitments to current and future funders

We're looking for a Supporter Care Officer to join Your Place and be part of our dedicated team to help us with our mission to solve homelessness in east London, one person at a time!

About the role

Based within the Fundraising Team, this role is responsible for providing exceptional supporter care to our donors and fundraisers, ensuring accurate record keeping and reporting, and supporting various income streams for the charity including individual giving and community fundraising. It is an important role within the Fundraising and Communications Department, which is responsible for raising the profile of the organisation and the experiences of those we are here to help, and mobilising support to the cause.

This role will help acquire and steward existing and prospective supporters, including individuals, schools and faith groups taking part in fundraising events and activities, as well as one-off and regular donors. It will ensure people receive an excellent supporter experience, so that both they feel valued and informed about the impact they are making.

Salary: £28,080 - £32,240 annual salary
Contract: Permanent 
Hours: 37.5, Monday to Friday 
Location: Canning Town/Hybrid 

Other responsibilities include

Supporter Experience

• Be the first point of contact for all fundraising enquiries, providing information, support and materials quickly and efficiently.
• Ensure that supporters receive timely and relevant charity updates and thanks, and that all scheduled communications add value to the relationship.
• Assist in organising acquisition and donor care events (in-person and online), showcasing the service and encouraging a deeper connection to the cause.

Fundraising Administration and Best Practice

• Manage and update supporter records and report on fundraising activity and performance.
• Work with the Fundraising and Finance Teams to process donations and reconcile fundraising income.
• Prepare supporter data analysis reports to support planned activity.
• Assist with fundraising, marketing projects, and campaigns.
• Ensure activity and communications meet fundraising best practice, as well as our brand guidelines and organisational values.
• Ensure supporter data is handled sensitively and in line with data protection and our privacy policy.
• Keep up to date with fundraising best practice and legislation.
• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the organisation’s service provision and impact.

Community Fundraising and Individual Giving

• Lead on relationships with existing community supporters, including fundraisers, schools and faith groups, ensuring an excellent supporter experience.
• Help to identify opportunities to grow our community of supporters, and plan engagement initiatives and events that raise the profile of the organisation and lead to increasing levels of public support.
• Work with colleagues to acquire new supporters using a planned process of cultivation, conversion and stewardship.
• Support the Senior Individual Giving and Legacies Officer and Senior Philanthropy Officer to develop and implement campaigns and donor journeys.

Volunteering and Gifts in Kind

• Work collaboratively with volunteers and the Community Partnerships Team to ensure adequate support for fundraising activity and outreach opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with the Facilities Team to maintain and develop our food donation programme.

General

• To attend meetings internally as and when necessary, for example, Directorate, Management and planning meetings.
• To undertake such other duties within the competence of the post holder which may be required from time to time.

Experience and skills

• Experience in an administrative role
• Excellent IT skills, working with a variety of systems including Microsoft packages and databases
• Strong planning and organisational skills including personal self-management, work administration, reporting and follow-up
• Understanding of the principles of and being passionate about supporter care

Purpose of the Public Affairs Officer role: 

As the Public Affairs Officer in the External Affairs team at Women’s Aid, you will play a pivotal role in our government and parliamentary engagement work. This will include leading on monitoring parliamentary activity and identifying opportunities for Women’s Aid to influence the political agenda and ensure parliamentarians are kept up to date on issues related to domestic abuse. You will play a pivotal role in supporting our influencing work with the new government on key pieces of legislation, Women’s Aid’s next big campaign and assisting Women’s Aid’s secretariat role to the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Domestic Violence and Abuse. Alongside organising meetings and events for the APPG and with key political stakeholders, you will lead on the development of public affairs and campaigns materials, including policy bulletins, briefings, speaking notes and letters to government ministers.

Key duties and responsibilities of the Public Affairs Officer:

• Carry out regular political monitoring, keeping the team updated with important developments for Women’s Aid, identifying opportunities for influence and providing analysis on policy announcements.
• Draft newsletters, correspondence, and website and social media content for parliamentarians, Women’s Aid’s member services and campaigners on a range of campaign and policy priorities.
• Support Women’s Aid’s work on key pieces of legislation - responding to queries, drafting briefings and parliamentary questions, working with Parliamentarians on draft amendments, and the development of joint sector work.
• Lead on projects that widen participation in Women’s Aid public affairs and campaigning work, including organising meetings with sector colleagues, survivors, and our member services.

What we are looking for in our Public Affairs Officer:

• Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to write copy for a range of audiences and formats, e.g., briefings, consultation submissions, correspondence and speaking notes.
• Experience of working in a political role or exposure within parliamentary institutions.
• Experience in liaising and working with external organisations and individuals, including via correspondence and joint working groups/joint sector meetings.
• Experience in supporting the delivery of projects and campaigns.
• Ability to communicate sensitively about the issues facing women and children affected by domestic abuse.

The Senior Finance BP will provide Strategic and Operational finance support to the Operational Director and Heads of Service. The Director is responsible for leading a large patch of care and support contracts delivering services to customers across our client groups - homelessness, mental health, young people and learning disabilities.

This role will be the key finance contact for the directorate. They will support and challenge Operational colleagues to understand their financial performance and come up with action plans to address risks/opportunities. They will work as a bridge to the rest of finance, sign posting Operational colleagues to get help and translating finance polies and principles into easy to understand language where necessary.

Hybrid working, 2 days in London office

What you'll do:

The post-holder will be required to:

Work closely with the Director ensuring that they understand the financial performance of the Directorate. Carry out ad hoc analysis to support them with operational/strategic decision making.
Monitor the financial performance of the Directorate against budget and forecast Investigate reasons for variances and trends and advise Directors of any significant risks/opportunities and the reasons for them.
Support Operational colleagues to ensure that all invoice request forms are submitted on a timely manner
Present Directorate financial performance to Operational Colleagues as requested.
Lead monthly finance review meetings with Operational teams ensuring that they are able to clearly explain the issues in their contract/patch and supporting them to identify actions.
Support the Director to prepare for the monthly CFO performance meeting ensuring that the most significant issues are brought to the attention of the Senior Leadership Team.
Work closely with Business Development and other key stakeholders to develop and maintain sustainable pricing models for care and support contracts for use in business development and tender responses.
Lead on budgeting and forecasting for the Directorate ensuring all key changes are reflected and that risks and opportunities are fully understood and communicated to the Senior Manager for FP&A
Responsible for signing off the price for any uplifts/extensions/re-models in the patch. The Business Partner - Pricing will support with this work.
