UK-based for employment purposes, the post holder will primarily work from home.  The post will require some in-person meetings in the UK, and some international travel.

7. Accountability

The post holder will report to the Director of Advocacy, who in turn reports to the ICAM Director.  The post holder may directly line-manage social media volunteers.

8. Major Terms and Conditions

Salary: 40,000-45,000 per year

Hours: Full-time (negotiable) and flexible hours.

Annual leave: 25 days paid holiday plus 8 bank and public holidays as paid leave days each year.

Contributory pension scheme: 3% contribution from ICAM, 5% (minimum) contribution from employee (Pension provider: Nest)

Purpose of the role

As a member of the research and evaluation team, the Evaluation and Learning Lead is responsible for the development, co-ordination, delivery and impact of NDTi’s commissioned, grant and trust funded evaluation and learning work. The post holder will manage and deliver a portfolio of evaluation and learning projects and will contribute to wider programme activities as required.

The person NDTi appoint to this important role will:

• develop, lead and deliver evaluation and learning projects and act as liaison for staff and associates involved in delivery of NDTi’s evaluation work.
• identify and share learning and insights generated by our work, showcasing the team’s innovative approaches, partnerships and achievements.
• design and develop evaluation and learning methodologies and materials, maintaining a consistent and high-quality approach to R&E work across NDTi.
• maintain a steady pipeline of opportunities, negotiating, securing and project managing a range of evaluation and learning contracts.
• ensure that our evaluation and learning work is co-produced with a range of stakeholders, including people with lived experience.
• establish and maintain diverse networks, generating new contacts and work opportunities for yourself and others in NDTi.

Key activities

Delivering evaluation and learning projects

Day to day, the Evaluation and Learning Lead will project manage and deliver a portfolio of evaluation and learning projects ensuring that each is delivered on time, within budget and to the expected high standard.

Securing and managing contracts

• develop and invest time in nurturing diverse contacts, partnerships and relationships to ensure that NDTi’s evaluation and learning work has a significant and positive profile, influencing attitudes, and changing policy and practice in order to make society more inclusive.
• identify opportunities for, and lead on, the development of proposals and tenders to ensure delivery of NDTi’s mission.

Young Citizens is an education charity on a mission to empower young people to actively engage in society. For over three decades, we’ve been giving young people the tools to understand society’s institutions and tackle its biggest issues. We are a national charity that makes big impact with a small central team and networks of volunteers.

This is a new role that will help Young Citizens ensure that our portfolio of long-standing and newly developed educational programmes and events are of the highest quality for schools and young people across the UK.

You will support the coordination team in delivering a series of events throughout the year, including our longest-running programme, the Bar Mock Trial Competition, which involves 22 events over six consecutive weeks in November. We work with schools, venues, and volunteers to provide inspiring learning experiences and programmes for children and young people.

You will contribute directly to our mission by leading the delivery of our school events programme. This includes responsibility for all aspects of event planning, delivery, and management, partner and volunteer development and management, audience development and evaluation, and events budgeting.

About the Role:
As our Supplier Partnerships Manager, you will manage the Supplier Partnerships sub-team, reporting into the Supporter Experience & Operations Lead. The Supplier Partnerships Team plays a central role in supporting our fundraising teams to maximise supporter engagement through the selection and performance management of our key external service partners. This team are a centre of subject expertise and will also ensure we have well defined and consistently applied approaches to supplier management across the Mass Engagement department.

In this role, you will actively manage a small portfolio of strategic fundraising service suppliers, ensuring contractual requirements are met, as well as defining and monitoring service levels (SLAs) to ensure performance is maintained.
You’ll also: 

• Effectively lead, manage, and motivate the Supplier Partnerships team, ensuring each member of the team makes a full and effective contribution to the organisation
• Maintain a network of key stakeholders within WaterAid, ensuring that their needs and responsibilities relating to supplier management are understood
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement or efficiency gains where these contribute to the overall supporter experience
• Act as the subject matter expert for supplier management, promoting and championing best practice within the wider organisation, providing specialist advice and training as required
• Maintain a level of awareness of external trends and best practice in supplier operations and procurement, ensuring that WaterAid are at the leading edge in terms of our services and standards

About You:
To be successful, you’ll need: 

• Excellent supplier management / relationship management, ideally in a charity fundraising environment
• Successful experience of people management, coaching, training, and personal development
• Demonstrable experience of using / designing KPIs, SLAs and other performance metrics to drive process and service quality improvements
• Strong stakeholder relationship management (up to senior management), able to work collaboratively to build positive and effective working relationships across teams
• Ability to identify problems, undertake analysis and deliver potential solutions through influencing and negotiating with others

Although not essential, we also prefer you to have:

• A good understanding of fundraising regulations i.e. Fundraising Code of Practice, Gift Aid and BACs (Direct Debit) regulations

About the Role:
AThe Communications Project Manager is responsible for leading the project management and the delivery to 2 discreet pieces of work at WaterAid UK. The first, a major global marketing campaign, and the second, a piece of sector leading research. 

The role will work across teams and departments to coordinate, steward, and facilitate the success of the projects through active stakeholder and task management, project transparency and supporting collaboration. They will ensure alignment with the set strategic goals of each project, drive key milestones and co-ordinate cross functional delivery teams.

This role is for an experienced project manager who is skilled in navigating complex environments, is a highly skilled communicator, and holds an understanding of communications as a marketing discipline.

You’ll also: 
Facilitating Decision Making and Delivery Progress

• Chair and coordinate delivery groups and be accountable for delivery of the project on time, on budget and to a high standard of work.
• Ensure key milestones are completed to appropriate timelines.
• Responsible for the delivery of key drivers of progress such as briefs into specialist teams including analytics, market insight, creative content.
• Support the delivery teams to make decisions and commit to actions. Resolve project challenges quickly by analysing issues, surfacing progress options, and implementing solutions to keep the project moving forward.
• Support representatives within delivery teams to take ownership of their remits and actions – helping unblock challenges, holding them accountable to actions and managing up to steering teams.

Managing Stakeholders

Ensure Project Retrospective

• Track project outcomes against defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and objectives.

• Write up final project evaluation, including evaluation of project management processes and learning for future.

Project Documentation and Administration 

• Define and deliver key documentation of the project including decision making accountabilities, transparent timelines and milestones, assigned responsibilities, communications plans, defined outcomes etc.
• Track and raise dependencies with the delivery team – ensure progress is happening in a logical and feasible order.
• Develop (through collaboration within the delivery groups) project KPIs to meet set Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) or defines outcomes.

Budget Control

• Manage and track project budget, control expenditure and optimise resource allocation.

About You:

• Experience in leading complex projects with large numbers of senior stakeholders.
• Experience in establishing lines of delivery process where complex interdependencies exist.
• Flexible and responsive. Able to adapt to changing environments and priorities as situations develop. Able to support delivery teams to navigate these environments while maintaining progress and quality of output.
• Extremely organised and attention to detail, with a meticulous focus on project details to ensure quality and accuracy in all deliverables.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage, influence and update multiple teams, both in the UK and overseas, and key stakeholders effectively.
• Time Management: Ability to manage and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines and keep projects on schedule

The range of Counterpoints Arts’ work has grown considerably since it was founded in 2012 and we are now seeking someone to lead on Operations Management whilst our current Operations Manager is on maternity leave. This role is key to ensuring the smooth running of our charity’s operations, including overseeing day-to-day administrative, financial, and HR functions. The successful candidate will be highly organised, proactive, and have a strong background in charity operations or a similar role within the nonprofit sector. Responsibilities:

Overall, the role involves ensuring smooth daily operations and charity compliance, managing office administration, supporting team productivity and wellbeing, and liaising with external stakeholders and suppliers.

Finance and Fundraising:

• Ensure financial compliance and oversee bookkeeping, invoicing, and grant payments.

• Support budgeting, financial reporting, and planning with the Director.

• Monitor charity management accounts, project income, and expenditure.

• Manage year-end accounts, filing with the Charity Commission, and Company House.

• Write funding applications and reports, maintain funder relationships, and ensure grant reporting deadlines are met.

• Ensure provisional figures are submitted to various funders and entities

• Write narrative report to go alongside financial report for year end accounts

Board and Senior Management Team:

• Support the Director in preparing Board papers

• Support SMT meetings and assist the Board with reminders and actions

• Update the Risk Register every 6 months according to updates agreed at Board meetings

​HR and Policy:

• Lead on HR activities, annual leave, TOIL, pensions, and contract administration.

• Oversee payroll, recruitment, staff wellbeing, and compliance with employment law.

• Manage temporary staff and freelancers, and update HR policies as needed.

• Lead on the annual team training programme and supporting team with individual

  training ambitions

• Support all staff with wellbeing needs and help address issues with individual wellbeing.

• Organise team training, away days, and foster a positive team culture.

• Ensure staff adherence to policies (e.g., annual leave, sickness, TOIL) and promote

  inclusive work practices.

• Support with Risk Assessments and Safeguarding assessments and help respond to safeguarding concerns or incidents

• Support with Activity Planning

• Support with any placements/internships

• Organise annual DBS checks for all staff

IT:

• Manage all IT systems used by the team of staff and freelancers, including Slack and Google Workspace.

• Oversee CA website management including updates and resolving issues as needed with the web developers

• Communicate any server or IT issues promptly with the team

• Encourage best practice for cyber security to all team members and work with staff to resolve any cyber security issues that arise Compliance and Governance:

• Ensure legal and regulatory compliance, including Charity Law, Data Protection, Health & Safety and Employment Law, and support implementation of relevant policy with the Board and Senior Management Team.

Office Management:

• Manage office logistics, filing, GDPR compliance, and health and safety.

• Ensure safeguarding protocols are in place, reporting issues to the landlord/Building Manager as needed

• Manage insurance renewal and any issues with insurance throughout the year, including

  additional insurance premiums / cover and any claims

Required Experience:

• Proven experience in an operations or administrative management role within a charity, arts, or non-profit organisation.

• Strong financial literacy and experience managing budgets.

• Excellent attention to detail: Highly organised with a focus on accuracy, best practice and compliance.

• Knowledge of HR processes, including recruitment, payroll, and fostering positive work culture

We are recruiting a Policy and Campaigns Manager to take forward our work on household debt. This role plays a key part in our campaign to end the UK’s household debt crisis.

Over ten million people in the UK are now ‘overindebted’, meaning they are behind on bills or are finding their debt repayments a heavy financial burden. The crisis has been growing over the last decade but has increased dramatically because of the pandemic and the cost-of-living crisis. More and more people are now borrowing to cover bills and essentials.

Our campaign combines community organising with national level campaigning and advocacy work to bring the voices of those most affected by the debt crisis to the fore in debates on policy solutions. You will use your policy and campaigning expertise to help ensure the people most impacted by problem household debt have a say in influencing the policies that affect them. You will work on issues such as the growth in council tax debt and bailiff use, the huge build up in energy debt as a result of the cost of living crisis and making insolvency policy and practice fairer and more accessible so more people can get out of debt.

You will be a key member of our household debt project team, working alongside the Head of Campaigns, Head of Policy and Advocacy, Digital Campaigner and Lead  Organiser.

We are looking for someone with great policy analysis and advocacy skills, a strong campaigning mindset, and a passion for social justice. We are not expecting you to already be an expert in all aspects of the role or in household debt policy but are looking for someone with the potential to develop quickly. Crucially, you will also need to appreciate why taking a community organising approach and building the power of people affected by debt is important, though you do not need to have experience in community organising.

This role will require some evening and weekend working, though this will be infrequent.

You will have experience working in a fast-paced research environment, whether in academia or research administration/management. Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills are essential for engaging a diverse range of audiences. Additionally, you should possess a solid understanding of statistical analysis. A Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or Nutrition is required, while a Master’s degree is preferred but not essential. An interest in science communication and social media is also desirable.
