Our Ealing Young Champions programme has been developed over the last four years, and we have secured multi-year funding to run projects designed to engage and empower local young people to advocate for practical solutions to address the issues that they and their peers face. Whilst a core group has been established over time, the way the project is run will be set by the successful applicant according to their own experience of working with young people.

We are also about to begin an exciting new project, taking over a local Library and developing it as a hub for services for children, young people and families in Greenford, alongside a core library offer for the local community. The appointed person will be instrumental in engaging with local young people to ensure they have a say in how the building and services within it are developed.

Main Purpose of the role:

1. Manage the planning, recruitment and delivery of our Ealing Young Champions Youth Voice project

2. Advocate for and embed youth voice into the work of partners, stakeholders and members and identify new opportunities to develop youth voice and co-production programmes

3. Work with colleagues to set a strategy for embedding co-production in YEF’s organisational practice

4. To provide project management and support on youth engagement with the Greenford Library project

We are seeking a Sex Worker Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (SWISVA) to provide appropriate emotional and practical 1-to-1 support to people involved in sex work, who often experience stigma and face barriers to accessing services. Working within a specialist sexual violence approach, you will be enabling people to access support and navigate services, including those directly related to sexual violence. You will support them to navigate criminal justice processes if they wish to do so. You will be working in partnership with other agencies and making appropriate referrals for people to access other services to support their wider needs. You will play a key role in advocating for improved responses to sexual violence, including pathways through the criminal justice processes.  

The post is part of a unique partnership between National Ugly Mugs, Basis Yorkshire and POW (Nottingham) to ensure more specialist support for sex workers who have experienced sexual violence, to develop good practice guidelines, develop and share learning, and to influence change in provisions for sex workers. Each organisation will be employing a SWISVA; the program will be led by a Program Coordinator who will be based with Basis Yorkshire, and who will lead on influencing of policy and sharing of learning to improve outcomes for sex workers who have experienced sexual violence   

The main role responsibilities (further outlined in the job description) are:  

• Oversee a caseload of people who have experienced sexual violence

• Ensure that sex workers have access to specialist sexual violence services, including access to the SARC and support throughout the criminal justice process

• Ensure that safeguarding practice is embedded within working practices to effectively support those at risk 

• Work collaboratively with Police, ISVAs and other colleagues to ensure the needs of sex workers are met and their voices are heard within the criminal justice process 

• Advocate for sex workers wishing to access the specialist service, challenging discrimination, exclusion and stigma both for individuals and within the wider community  

• Ensure the service maintains its strict confidentiality and protects the data of those accessing the service 

• Work collaboratively with peers in the SWISVA Partnership Program and the Program Coordinator to enable the Programme to achieve its wider objectives of quality assurance, development of good practice guidelines, learning, evaluating and influencing  

• To work within POW to support the core services including drop-in and outreach, taking the lead and driving as allocated

We’re looking for an Events and Community Fundraising Officer to join our team

Salary: £30,000

Base: Central Edinburgh/hybrid

Hours: Full time and permanent.  35 hours a week over core working hours of 10am - 3pm, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour lunch break. The office is open 8am – 6pm daily and our hybrid working policy requires all full-time employees to work at least two days a week in the Edinburgh office.

We rebuild tropical fisheries with coastal communities

Blue Ventures is a marine conservation organization that puts people first. We support coastal fishers in remote and rural communities to rebuild fisheries, restore ocean life and build lasting pathways to prosperity. Our work began two decades ago in Madagascar’s remote coastal communities and is growing globally.

Summary job description

The Head of Design & Integration is responsible for leading a core team within Data Science. This role will oversee the design, development, and integration of data collection, visualisation, and interpretation tools, conduct integrated data analyses, and ensure the seamless operation of data access platforms. The team will also provide training and support to staff and partners on using these tools effectively. This position requires collaboration with the team that builds tools, as well as cross-functional teams, to ensure that data solutions meet organisational needs and are user-friendly.

At Refugee Action Kingston (RAK) we're dedicated to helping the successful integration of refugees and people seeking asylum into the local community. About this role

We are pleased to advertise for a Head of Death Penalty Projects- US to oversee our work against the death penalty in the United States of America. 

Reprieve has worked against the death penalty since our founding. In recent years we have built a particular specialism in issues relating to lethal injection, the most popular execution method in the US. Lethal injection has been touted as more humane than other methods – a modern, clean, clinical way to execute. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Lethal injection executions go wrong more often than any other execution method, often resulting in prolonged and torturous executions, commonly known as “botched” executions. Through our work we aim to dispel the myth of the humane execution, working with allies across medicine, business and other sectors to end the misuse of medicines and medical technology in executions.

The existing portfolio of work includes litigation, investigation and analysis, corporate engagement, a wide range of public and private advocacy, and developing and maintaining world-leading expertise on execution methods, particularly the jurisprudence and science relevant to lethal injection.

Contract, location and salary

The role is a full-time, permanent position with a salary of £59,226 per annum less any required deductions for tax and national insurance.Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work a minimum of 40% from the London office and the rest of the week from home. There is the opportunity for international travel in the role.

Aurora New Dawn is a female-led charity dedicated to ending violence and abuse against women and girls. Since 2011, we have offered safety, support, advocacy, and empowerment to survivors of domestic abuse, sexual violence, and stalking. One of the core ways that we do this is through our DVA Car™ service and Helpline service.

 Our DVA Cars™ provide a service whereby every Friday and Saturday night, the project worker works alongside a police officer, attending reports of domestic abuse offering support to victims.

Our Helpline operates Out of Hours giving victims somewhere to call when other services are closed. The aim is to offer independent support and advice to victims and survivors during that window of opportunity: the moment they make the choice to reach out for help.

The candidate will be passionate about supporting survivors of domestic violence and abuse and wants to play a pivotal role in helping victims at the point of crisis. You will be working as part of a collaborative and passionate team, all dedicated to helping women feel seen, heard, and understood.

Whilst experience and knowledge of domestic abuse is a benefit it is not essential - it is more important to us that we find the right person who can truly support and guide our clients.

This role comprises of two parts.

 Part one:

· To provide an out-of-hours, face-to-face crisis response to incidents of domestic violence working alongside officers from Hampshire Constabulary.

Friday or Saturday: 17.00hrs – 03.00hrs

Part two:

1. To work office or home-based completing follow-on referral work from the above and support with the day to day running of the office.

Monday – 5hrs (between the hours of 8am -5pm)

One other weekday – 4hrs (between the hours of 8am -5pm)

Vocations and Placements (18-30) Development Officer

Location: Hybrid (Cliff College Derbyshire or London) or Home-Based

Hybrid Working: Connexional Team staff based at Methodist Church House or Cliff College have a hybrid work pattern which is currently 2-3 days in the office.

The Vacancy

The Methodist Church is at an exciting point in the development of its ministry with young adults (18-30). We are seeking to appoint someone with enthusiasm and passion for seeing young adults connect with God and explore their calling as a follower of Christ.

This role is integral to the delivery of the Young Adult Ministry Development Plan, and will focus on the following priorities:

• The management, development and advocacy of a new Young Adult Mission Placement Scheme, which aims to provide opportunities for young adults to be employed (or volunteer) in mission-focused placements in local churches and circuits where they can explore their vocation.

• Advocating for, supporting and enabling creative and relevant young adult ministry to be started and embedded in circuits and districts by journeying with local circuits/districts, providing advice and mentoring as appropriate to pilot creative projects for young adults to engage with and grow in discipleship and vocation.

An enhanced DBS disclosure will be required for this role, the cost of which will be incurred by the Methodist Church.

This post holds a Genuine Occupational Requirement for the post holder to be a member in good standing of a church in association with Churches Together in Britain and Ireland (CBTI) or equivalent.
