Purpose of the job:
The post-holder will work within a well-established Money Advice Team to provide Technical Supervision to a team of debt advisers. They may on occasion be expected to provide debt advice and casework themselves, assisting clients to achieve the best outcome for their circumstances.
They will regularly assess client case files against the Quality Standards, providing constructive feedback to advisers to ensure that high levels of quality are maintained.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Family Support Supervisor to join a fantastic UK charity dedicated to reconnecting missing people and their loved ones.
Salary: £31,900
Hours: 12:30pm to 8:30pm, Monday to Friday

As a part of the dedicated Family Support Team, you will provide emotional and practical support at every stage of the missing journey.
You will create a space where people experiencing the trauma of someone going missing can be supported in a calm, insightful and consistent manner. You will proactively support family members during challenging experiences. Your support will be both practical and emotional and can involve advice and advocacy so people can access the right service and support for them. Your approach to support will be based on an assessment of needs and the length of their missing incident / experience.
You will also be involved in family-focused events, peer support forum, online and social events and groups, engagement, and family opportunities for publicity in the media. You will be enthusiastic about hosting regular online social events (there is training for you to develop the skills needed to do this if necessary).
The idea candidate will have an empathetic and trauma-informed approach to providing support to people over a period of time and be able to build and maintain professional and boundaried relationships with families who use our family support services.
Experience of work on a helpline, crisis or advice service either as a volunteer or staff and/or advice or support work with children, vulnerable adults and/or families is key, as is experience of casework, building medium- to long-term professional relationships with family members.

About the role
We are committed to ending the homelessness of more people using our direct services, including people with complex needs. To do this, we are seeking either full-time or part-time Practitioner Psychologists to join our fantastic team in Crisis Skylight Brent.
In this role, you will be supporting our bold and diverse operation in Brent that includes our non-commissioned Skylight Service, the commissioned and outcome-based Single Homeless Prevention Service and The Single Homeless Refugee Housing & Integration Service. We support around 1400 people affected by homelessness per year and in the last 12 months ended homelessness for 446 people, predominantly in by sourcing accommodation in the private rented sector. You will also be part of the local leadership group and as such get involved in our outward facing place-based work that aims to shape better system responses to homelessness, working with colleagues from the Local Authority and NHS and the local community and voluntary service.
You will form part of the local Leadership team, supporting the implementation of Psychologically Informed Environments (PIEs). You will support the delivery of our work to members by offering training and leading reflective practice for staff and providing direct services to members at times.
You will also be a part of a national psychology team made up of a Lead Clinical Psychologist, two Regional Lead Clinical Psychologists, and seven Practitioner Psychologists as well as one Assistant Psychologist and Trainee Clinical Psychologists on placements.
At Crisis, we understand more and more Practitioner Psychologists are taking on multiple part-time opportunities within the NHS, academic, private practice and the third sector as this has been the case with our own team. Crisis and our members have benefited from employing people with a variety of different work experience and we are therefore open to considering a range of part-time working arrangements. This an opportunity for you to work within an agile and progressive charity where you can influence psychologically informed ways of working to end homelessness for good.
You will join an extraordinary team of frontline lead workers with a focus on people facing homelessness who have survived a range of difficult and traumatic experiences.

This role brings a real opportunity to be creative and flexible in our approach to working psychologically with people who face multiple disadvantages, and to support the staff teams via training and reflective practice.
There are opportunities to provide direct support as well as working extensively with local teams and other parts of the organisation to influence policy and practice developments. We are looking for someone with post qualification experience of working within complex systems and you may have direct experience of working with people who experience homelessness.
You will be excited by the prospect of working innovatively to deliver services locally alongside the Skylight team, as well linking in closely with the wider Psychology team to develop the service. You will be committed towards social justice, and to being an advocate for those we work with and for breaking down the systemic barriers that exclude those who need most support.

About the role:
We are looking for an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA). This is a full time role on fixed term contract. Hybrid working would be available for this role. The aim of this role is to support victims of domestic abuse who live in Central Bedfordshire. This role will be part of our other wider specialist services covering Bedfordshire.
As an IDVA you will be:
- Providing a high quality support and advocacy service to victims of domestic abuse.
- Managing a caseload; identifying and assessing risks and needs, providing a tailored crisis intervention service trough individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
- Working with other agencies and advocating on behalf of service users in order to help them access services to keep them safe.
- Working within a multi-agency framework consisting of partners as well as MARAC and other local partnerships to offer a coordinated response to domestic abuse.
- Promoting the service and raise awareness of domestic abuse through the delivery of training
- Supporting the Daily Domestic Abuse meeting in the IFD (Integrated Front Door), which discusses all medium/standard risk referrals that have come in over the previous 24 hours and agrees on the most appropriate source of advice and support for the family.
- Attending the BRiF meetings weekly where community partners bring concerns about family's they are working with including concerns about standard/medium domestic abuse.
- Professional point of contact for the IFD and Adult Safeguarding teams (also based at Priory House).
- Point of contact for any concerns staff have about their own relationships and dynamics of domestic abuse they need support with
You will need:
- Experience of working in support and advocacy with victims of domestic abuse is advantageous
- To be able to prioritise work and deal with competing or conflicting demands/needs and interests and promote organisation interests and values.
- To ideally hold a SafeLives IDVA accreditation, relevant degree, vocational qualification or relevant experience of delivering a service and working with domestic abuse victim's/service users in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting.

This peer support project is delivered in partnership with South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust, to support Carers of people with mental health conditions. This project will work to support Carers through one-to-one support, outreach, training and peer support groups.
About The Role:
Using your lived experience of caring for someone with a mental health condition, and a strengths-based approach, you will support mental health Carers in their caring role. You will provide person centred one-to-one- support, information, signposting, and advocacy, develop, and facilitate peer support groups in response to identified need and deliver training and outreach sessions at different locations across the borough. You will work in partnership with South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust (SWLStG), to ensure Carers are identified and routinely referred into the service. You will have responsibility for line managing the Mental Health Carers Peer Support Worker.
Key Requirements Include:
- Lived experience of Caring for someone with a mental health condition
- Experience of direct work with clients, providing information, advocacy and 1:1 support, including assessing need.
- Experience of / ability to develop and facilitate peer support groups and training.
- Efficient organisation and time management skills with the ability to balance and prioritise a busy and varied workload.
- Developed IT skills, with experience using databases and communication platforms.
- Experience of liaising with a wide range of statutory and voluntary agencies at all levels.

Role Overview
The VAWG Service Manager is primarily responsible for leading the strategic development and delivery of The Angelou Centre’s (AC) holistic, trauma informed and culturally competent VAWG services for Black and minoritised women and children by:
- Leading, managing, developing, fundraising, monitoring and delivering the operational running of high-quality VAWG frontline services for Black and racially minoritised women and children across the Northumbria Combined Authority (NECA)

The role of the Policy and Public Affairs Officer is to work closely with the Senior Policy and Public Affairs Manager and Head of Advocacy and Communications to develop viable, evidence-based policy solutions and deliver influencing plans to engage stakeholders from across parliament, the civil service, industry and charities to address economic abuse. Your focus will be on developing policy and influencing government on coerced debt – one of the most insidious yet devastating forms of economic abuse – to drive forward public and private sector responses. In this role, you will work collaboratively with our frontline partner Money Advice Plus and victim-survivors to ensure our policy and influencing work is grounded in women’s lived experiences of economic abuse.
You would be joining us at a significant moment as we launch our ambitious new three-year strategy. As part of this, we will build on our influencing work by ensuring victim-survivors’ voices are heard by the new Government to deliver lasting change.
About you
You will have experience in policy development, including undertaking research and analysing evidence to form credible evidence-based solutions and producing policy outputs like reports, consultation responses or briefings.
